| THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Holy son, mother of pearl! This chapter was intense!!! Not only did we find out that Blackbeard has become Crocodile's replacement, Kuma alluded to Blackbeard proving his worth by saying "he demonstrated his powers." Three guesses as to that being the destruction of Ace. I wonder what happened to Luffy. He seemed to be disintegrating in the beginning of the chapter, but the sun wasn't out at the point. And the Moria and Kuma meeting - whoa, I took a few minutes just staring at that one page with them standing next to each other. Definitely an epic moment. And the WG really does seem to be afraid of the rise of the Strawhats. This plot to One Piece is really starting to thicken. Ah, can't wait for the next chapter!!!! |
| Two Shichibukai standing face-to-face, yes that is definitely epic. so the situation that the WG is more concerned about is the SH not Whitebeard (as far as we know). If the Strawhats win against Moria, I wonder what course of action Kuma will take. will he take the opportunity to crush the SH in their weary state and destroy them once and for all? but then again, he said that there's no 100% chance of winning in battle. the SH are remarkably strong and could pull of the impossible by beating 2 shichibukai. as for the on-going battle, Moria made a big mistake by being hasty and taking the matter in his own hands. it contradicts his motto of "you do it". not only did he make it more convenient for the SH that they don't have to look for him anymore, the SH have they're backs against the wall and this is when they pull out all the stops and counterattack. |

| Also, we now know the conditions needed for Kuma to use his power. Not that it matters, if/when luffy fights him, even if he knows it, he'll probably still answer him. I've really enjoyed the past few chapters of the SH crew fighting oz, as we don't get to see many fights in this series with SH working together on a fight, most all the matchups are one on one, except for when they pair up ussop with someone else, so seeing (most) all the crew fighting together against one enemy has been really great. Back on the subject of Kuma's power... I'm going to speculate that it has the hilarious effect of teleporting the target to whatever place they tell him they'd like to go, unwillingly. So at this point, perona is in the middle of some random castle without a clue as to how she got there. Since this isnt a very good battle power(dictated by what the opponent says) we can tell just by his body that he can more than make up for it in basic fighting strength. Anyways, thats enough rambling for this chapter. |

| Zoro: "I have plenty of faith in Luffy, but he can't do everything!" Exactly the attitude to have. Luffy may be the strongest but he's also the Captain. The crew need to be able to take care of themselves and hold Luffy up when if he fails. Aceeee. |

| Well, Blackbeard is now officially one of the Seven Warlords and his "proving" to the government his powers as good as confirms that Ace has fallen. I hope he's alive at least. |

| So Blackbeard has become the new Shichibukai... well that's not good, it just goes to show how powerful he really is. So I'm guessing he beat Ace, just hoping Ace is in good shape after... The Strawhats now need to beat Moria and Oz in one... Brook returns with a lot of salt and saved Usopp!!! |
