Well if I lived in any of those other time periods my parents (my father would probably get killed) would be forbidden to be together, and I would have ended up being killed and/or enslaved simply because I am a mixed race black dude. I kinda prefer living in the progressive west. :D |

| See none of them are real options besides 70's and 2017. Nazi germany ends up going to war, so you bet your ass you will be drafted and likely die. Crusades were during times where the average life expectancy is about half of ours, I am not trying to die at 40. The Confederacy went to war too, so same problem. If you got a single cut back then, it could rot and fester and you would often lose a limb; half of the time you would die. Not to mention the bubonic plague which killed 2/3's of europe's population. People stunk 24/7; there was no deodorant. They didn't brush their teeth, I can't imagine how they had sex. Water quality was so bad that everyone drank cheap beer as a replacement, even at breakfast. Most people only lived to age twenty five if you were forty then you were considered an old man. The only people who lived longer than that were kings because they were never exposed to anything harmful. Those days sucked; then again, I suppose you could say that every age had its downsides. |

| My choice is the Crusaders. Yes, they attacked fellow Europeans over religious differences, but I don't see Europe being nearly as united against Islam as separate Pagan tribes. It's hard to weigh it out, especially given Byzantium, but that's the conclusion I come to. I also consider Christianity to be a superior moral framework than anything before or after it. Judge an ideology by its fruits. People on our side tend to sympathize with the Confederacy, and to an extent I do, but let's not forget that they were the main ones using African slaves. Besides being an evil in itself, this ultimately fucked America in immeasurable ways. That said, I don't support the Union's decision to crack down in such a brutal way. Slavery was going to end regardless, and that's not even why the war was fought. National Socialism was a product of the incredibly brutal circumstances that Germany found itself in after WWI. I think the system itself has merit, but the particular regime did many things wrong. They very likely stopped communism from engulfing all of Europe, but what came after that is probably worse. The PC globalist ideology is largely a response to Adolf Hitler, the opposite extreme, perhaps. |
