| Hmm Rockruff vs Lycanroc Midnight... Midday form foreshadow?? :O That'd be cool though, a battle between both forms :D I liked Gladion, he is not like Paul as many people would think at first sight. The ultimate fact is that he has an Umbreon. The battle was postponed but if Rockruff evolves before that, it'll be epic. Now Ash is aware of the second Kahuna but I wonder how is that since the Trial captains are supposed to be his schoolmates xD Next episode is baseball time, I guess it's for the laughs xD |

| Gladion was perfect, man i love it when they use the og soundtracks in the anime. The part where Ash got the challenge letter and the Pokemon movie intro started playing, so damn epic! |

Paul was a rough trainer, borderline abusive but every single of his Pokemon that stuck with him was loyal towards him. Heck, they were outright dissapointed when Paul lost to Ash in Lillycove. So some Pokemon - just as some humans - want and need to get trained by getting pushed to it's limit to reach their maximun level. Dont forget that happiness also gets raised by leveling up while getting knocked out lowers it. Anyway, Midnight forme, looked sweet. Though all those Red-Eyes chants made me think of Yugioh special summons. |

| Since there are no badges and I don't play the games, I have absolutely no idea how far the game plot is covered so far. Talking about "plot" in a pokemon anime is kind of weird in itself, but well... Is it possible to say how far the events in the anime are, in comparison to the games? Are we still just in the beginning? Because Satoshi isn't even starting a journey but is just minding his own business in the starting town. I liked the feel of progression in the older anime with a clear goal like "collect badges and compete in the pokemon league in the end" a bit better. For orientation's sake. |

| Nice finally a rival appears and gladion is cool Lillie is adorable here! Finally an eeveelution, my favs! Umbreon suits gladion. Guess he likes dark pokemon hmm.. still not a fan of the midnight ver :p i prefer the other one/midday one. Maybe ash his rockruff will be midday ver and they will eventually battle against each other? |
