Is grimoire of zero
https://myanimelist.net/anime/34176/Zero_kara_Hajimeru_Mahou_no_Sho?q=Zero%20kara
And re:zero
https://myanimelist.net/anime/31240/Re_Zero_kara_Hajimeru_Isekai_Seikatsu?q=Re%3Azero
Related? I just noticed thag their names are so similar so maybe grimoire of zero is a prequel or something? Or maybe it is even a story of the witch everyone hated in re:zero? Well my question still remains the same are they related?

No, they are not related in any way. The full Japanese names just happen to sound very similar.

The probabilities of them being related are the same ones than finding yuri in Yuri on Ice.

The anime itself.. Involves Witches and Non Existence.. Beast Creature... Yeah? It's very similar... But it cannot possibly... be a prequel to the show..

No. Just because the names have a few words in common, doesn't mean they're related. Also, it probably would have taken you less time to do a quick Google search than it would have posting this thread.

I was sharing my ideas, plus its not only a similar name the story pretty much refers to it making the main character a white haired witch ik you guys who read the manga know better than me but just think about it, maybe if she kills some witches by the end of the anime they confirm my theory?

Just check if the author of the original works is the same. Every anime that is not anime-original has a link in the "related works" to the original.
https://myanimelist.net/manga/67523/Zero_kara_Hajimeru_Mahou_no_Sho Authors: Shizuma, Yoshinori (Art), Kobashiri, Kakeru (Story)
https://myanimelist.net/manga/74697/Re_Zero_kara_Hajimeru_Isekai_Seikatsu Authors: Nagatsuki, Tappei (Story), Ootsuka, Shinichirou (Art)

See, no common authors. And Japanese authors rarely collaborate, with Fate/Zero probably the only exception.

Poor Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho (what's the shortened name for this, btw?) is stuck in Re:Zero's shadow just because a bunch of .......s can't figure out that having similar names doesn't mean they're related. Shame too, Zero deserves more than this.

I think I'm just gonna end up calling it ZMS because it can't really be shortened to actual words in Japanese.

geez, made an account to say, a thread like this IS doing research, they're asking because they don't know. literally no need to be gigantic assholes, just answer the damn question with a simple "no" and move on.

Lets be honest, this is just for attention.
If this was related to re zero dont you think that there would be so much more hype and popularity?
If you actually read the info its clearly no way related.

Not similiar in any manner.

My brother, who is a huge Re:Zero fans, commented that this might have been an attempt by the studio to cash in with the similiarity in name and try to lead Re:Zero fans into watching this. And if it was right, then it is a cheap move.

Seriously Zero kara hajimeru should've used only its English name instead, sounds cooler and people would not to be confused it with ReZero

These two anime are completely unrelated, although, i can see some quite similarities of the character's design but the plot were completely different.

No, research would be to go to the pages of both anime and realise that ZMS (thanks @Jazzyforcefield ) has absolutely no relation to Re:Zero. Making a thread like this would only count as "research" if it was something annoying like the Gundam or Macross timelines or something. Otherwise, as in this case, it's just plain lazy.

nah, i just see typical internet assholisms; someone asks a question, and in the time it could have took to rectify their curiosity, they give a verbose tirade about the OP's laziness and ineptitude. it's no different than if your math teacher slapped you upside the head and called you an idiot for asking how to do an equation because the book is right in front of you.

literally no need to be a toxic ass, this isn't twitter.

Not at all. Their names are similar and have a similar world theme, but there is no relation between them. You're gonna have to stop assuming multiple shows with similar names are related to each other, unless it's plain obvious.

Just to mention, there is one anime this season that this question can be asked of about another.

Calm down, the OP didn't seem to care, so why do you? If you consider this to be toxic, then you must live on the nicest place on Earth.
A little research goes a long way, so what's wrong with saying he should do a little research, that would take maybe 10 seconds, first?
It could come in handy in the future, so if anything, we're helping him out. And honestly, you're the one who sounds like a toxic asshole.

Anime creators are not above doing such things. For example, Fushigi no Umi no Nadia's name is said to be patterned on some other anime of the period.
Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (2006) and Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo (2009) can't be coincidence either. (the term "Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo" looked somewhat shoehorned into the latter anime)

Yeah. Kinda sad how them marketing people have stoop so low to gain profit...

However, seeing that it is also being made by White Fox, there's a possibility that it will also be as good as Re:Zero. I don't know though, just my opinion.
