| I've been watching the new updated version of the show because nothing else is on due to the writer strike and I have to say it looks pretty damn fun, the gladiators are HUUUGE, even some on the girls side, but I can take them all....nah not really. Anyways anyone else seen the show and what's your thoughts? |

| Heh. ....Why do Americans always attach "American" in the beginning of everything? I have a hard time imagining that being done anywhere else. Nothing wrong with it really, but it seems kind of... "Hm" is the expression I can sum it up with. And no, it might be fun for sheer brainless entertainment, but there's more entertaining brainless ways to waste your time. |

I don't watch it, too many commercial breaks, too many interviews with the contestants, too many extremely flawed and boring events. The girls side takes way too long to do anything, scaling an 8 foot wall takes 45 seconds and they try to pull themselves up with their legs alone. The travelator should be at the beginning when the contestants have the strength to power up it. Regarding the hand-bike, it's quicker to just fore-go it entirely, jump down, and climb up. Hit and run is too easy, just get down on your knees and go. With Joust you shouldn't be allowed to knee because once you do that you have near perfect balance. In powerball you shouldn't be allowed to throw the ball, that ruins all the contact. I'd do decently good, but I don't weigh enough and would be tossed around like a ragdoll. Butm I'm used to it after playing rugby and having, at some points, a 100 pound weight disadvantage. |

| I remember watching the original American Gladiators way back in the day and as a kid, it was one of the coolest shows out there at the time. I saw one episode and it definitely has lost that "cool" feel from back in the day |

Maybe the show didn't age well, but it's almost exactly the same show. It uses the same challenges, same point system, hell they even have some of the same Gladiators from the old one. The only differences I can tell is that they use water instead of padding, some new challenges and the eliminator is modified a bit. The tennis ball gun is still awesome though and don't forget to cheer for Siren, remember she's def |
