| As someone who's not interested in BL and has watched it, I can say it's definitely not a BL show. The emphasis is on friendship and team spirit and all the drama the competitions involve. There's no kissing, no mushy romance or anything like that. Just close bonds between friends. At least I took it as such. Most yaoi fangirls tend to see rabu rabu everywhere anyway and squeal over a lot less. In conclusion, it's actually a pretty decent anime with some fanservice for girls; after all, it has a lot of half-naked guys in tight swimming attire but then again, the show IS about swimming so you can expect to see that lol. |

| Nah, people just like to imagine it that way. There's not really any implication of romance between the characters. Just a lot of half naked dudes going swimming. I've only seen the first season though, so not sure if it changes much in the second part. |

| There's no love there. There are hints for man-woman look love, but hardly and there's a girl having crush on every shirtless guys (because they are in swimsuit). That's it. Having strong bonds between guys, doesn't make it love, though there is tendency among fans to ship them (without any real basic) |

| No, its a great story about friendship! This is sarcastic, but I actually enjoyed this when I was younger and it first came out because although having some gay themes, it was built like a shounen anime and for someone that didn't realy realize manservice it was a great show! |
