| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- 500 Chapters! Congrats to Mashima-sensei! Lovely cover spread. :) A lot going on this week with several characters, which makes sense for a milestone chapter. I suppose most significant is Juvia's fate. Glad to see she's alright, and so soon! Unfortunately my Strauss Siblings are in a bind at the moment, plus Sabertooth and everyone else. Natsu stomping Neinhart while Dimaria still out for blood, this won't end well with Brandish. And Gray's a big concern too after stomping Invel and his armor, now that he's learned Natsu is END. Things are heating(heh) up! |

| And surprise surprise, Juvia is alive. Why were people sad about that last chapter? I don't get why Mashima is using this cheap drama act... The only good thing this chaper was Gray learning about who END is. Fairy Tail remains a fanservice series, where Mashima doesn't care about his writting and just wants to please his readers with forced pairings, fanservice, emotions, the art is nice. |

If there's one thing Hiro has always done top notch is his artwork and detail..if only his writing matches his art. I seriously wonder if he or any mangaka with a long series actually plans ahead instead of trying memorize and makes things up as they go along. I do think he plans ahead some things, while other times he hints at something, only to drop it later, for example in the GMG arc Arcadios had a villain vibe to him, and it almost felt like he would be on Zeref's side, but he wasn't. The stuff with the dragons, Natsu and the others, Layla, the big mysteries if you will, I do thing those were thought out, and he did a good job with them, Do mangaka plan ahead? Some do, but Mashima is incosistent, same with Kishimoto (there are probably more mangaka who don't plan everything, Kishi is the one I mentioned, because he himself said so in a interview). |

| Happy 500 chapters Hiro! As stated on that page itself, hopefully the series popularity will keep this from being the last arc and you have bigger plans in place for the future. Gray Vs. Natsu will definitely be a battle in the future, but as to if it will happen this arc or not is a different story. Really enjoyed the color cover showing off the cast and having extra pages. I was kinda hoping to hear more about the anime but they're keeping it under wraps pretty hard, maybe until this arc ends? |

| @frostmourn : Guess what, the people who bashed you can now rejoice :/. The pros of this chapter : 1) Secret Art : Closing my eyes (it was a bit funny) 2) Gray's rage. 3) I like that it's literally stated that NLF does exist in this manga. Now it'll put the NLF debates in power-ranking forums/places to rest. Cons : 1) Brandish pls. Spriggan hype is a laughable matter now. Your entire speech is bullshit. 2) Spriggans again not causing any sort of tension or impact whatsoever 3) Invel vs Gray leaned more towards the bad side for me 4) Neinhart in general and his one-shot. 5) Juvia's fake 'death'. At least it made sense that Carla was able to predict it and Wendy came in time. With Gajeel and Mirajane, it was completely illogical. 3/10 Also something I noticed, Neinhart seemed to have the same black eyes as Serena when he went against the four GoI. Could Serena have been enchanted by Irene too? |

| I have to say, Jacob is probably my favourite from the 12 lol. He just cracks me up. (yaaaaay) looking forward to seeing the truth of END hit everyone else too. Well and Gray as we only saw it on the last page. You were basically asking for that beating Invel XD. |

| It's chapters like these that give this series such a terrible name. How the fuck did Gray not realise Juvia was still alive? Why did the ice chain break while they were both alive? I knew Juvia was coming back somehow but that was even worse than I imagined. Natsu stuff was complete shit. More nakama power nonsense. Gray fight was pretty bad as well which is dissapointing considering how good most of his fights are. The only decent part was the ending. |

| Hold on a second. Even Juvia coming back didn't make sense. Ice Lock was only supposed to break when a person died so she was supposed to have died yet Wendy was able to heal her, instead of it having to be a revival. 4.5/10 now -_- |

I mean, in this chapter, Invel's special ice armor or whatever was supposed to freeze everything; no exceptions. And just look what happened. Seriously... Oh, well. At least Juvia's alive. I'd like to see Gray's reaction when he sees her again. Oh wait, he's probably going to be busy fighting Natsu then. Also, can someone remind me exactly why Gray hates E.N.D. so much? I've been trying hard to remember but I just can't. Why does he want revenge? |

| Congrats for the 500th chapter Mashima,but it was completely underwhelming.How did the locks break if Juvia had just passed out?We already knew she wouldn't stay dead and revived somehow,but that's ridiculous.Gray vs Invel was good,Gray used the same trick during Sun Village arc against Doriate with ice devil magic back then.Natsu vs Neinhart was plain stupid another one-shot with nakama speech.At least now Gray knows END's true identity. |

MASHIMA! you better have good reason for this! ugh I don't know what to feel anymore! Honestly I don't really think she died last chapter. The only question is what about the Icelock? Either Gray died for a second breaking the chain then Juvia saved her through Blood transfusion magic (But can Blood Transfusion magic be able to save a dead person? hmm IDK really) OR Invel undid the spell himself because he thinks it's all pointless! they will both die anyway... probably. anyway Gray knows who END isssss... |

He (outside of August and Eileen which Hiro seems to be hyping the fuck out of) was the only Spriggan I was geninunely interested him. He actually took initiative and seemed to be Zeref's right hand man or somethin'. He got beat down. 2/5 |

IDK man I guess some of us are just too attached to the characters. Not to mention Mashima Kyun himself cos he still can't kill his main/supporting characters without bringing it back. 7/10 |

| Nice to see the series reaching 500th chapter. Not surprised that Juvia survived. I do like how Gray fought with rage though as it shows how much he cares about her. In the meantime, I wonder how Gray will respond to that revelation about Natsu? Inevitable fight in the future of this arc? |

He got beat down. 2/5 This ^ Thought Invel would be another enemy worth keeping an eye on since he was introduced, but oh well. He & his armor literally got overpowered in 3 pages. RIP Neinhart as well. Does that mean the other revived Spriggans are also done for ? Only good thing was Invel revealing E.N.D.'s identity to Gray, but terrible chapter overall. |

Invel...biggest mistake he now did was Not running his Ass off and Away when he saw Pissed off Gray....This will be the time when Gray breaks the rule of the Not Killing....and Me thinks that Miss Time Knight of the 12 is going to face Brandi for this betrayal... aaaaand The Cat is out of the Bag.....Gray knows who Natsu is..or was.....Oh Shit Natsu Versus Gray....finally going to Build up and commence soon. |
