That being said, claiming the chapter itself lacks character and sensible plot developments is not accurate. It can lack the character and plot developments you envisioned or would have preferred, but it still features both nonetheless. I give this chapter a 4/5 overall, particularly favoring the plot twists and writing. Enjoyed the dialogue as well. ^Pretty much this. The people who bash on this chapter or the series as whole are usually giving their views and stating them as fact which they feel should be clear to everyone unless they're fanboys or idiots. This is the reason why others say ignoring them is best. Referring to the accusations of asspull, darklight has been crying about it since I joined a year ago or whatever with every chapter that even mentioned Mine. It is difficult to take him seriously, along with many others, who simply project their view on how the series should have gone as factually correct. As Ripper says, the writer decides which turns the series will take, like it or not it is your right to say you hate it but don't try to imply that somehow your taste trumps everyone else. |

Basically, it's just haters who always try to find a way to make the defenders look bad, but it almost never seemed to work on my comments. Perhaps the haters just don't know how to deal with people that CAN argue, like myself. ps. Don't even bother quoting this, it's been what, half a month that the haters ignored my comment? If they rly can't find a way to argue with me in half a month, I take it as my win. Probably won't even read this thread anymore anyway, new chapter is almost here so.. |

| Surprise surprise, Wave got there in time and even got a power-up (dual tengu) sigh =.= I think most of us always have this feeling that Wave and Kurome won't die so easily or even defect from the empire. Good that the killing streak ends in this chapter, killing 1 character a chapter especially an important character will become repetitive and boring. As for Esdeath, I don't think she will join the rebel army so she will most likely fall in the hands of Akame. |

The manga up to this point has basically been this: one bad guy dies, one good guy dies. For literally every arc. The anime did a pretty good job of doing this, which was why it was complete shit. I want to read something where something actually happens, instead of a constant cycle of battles of attrition. God, why the hell would anyone actually like reading something where fucking everyone dies? These characters have a better chance of surviving the frontlines of WWI, and people like you think that a couple survivors would be bullshit or a "deus ex machina." Were you so excited to come across a special snowflake or something that you forgot how repetitive this was getting? |

| I love how in this chapter Tatsumi looks like he's the bad guy and Wave is the MC xD Akame really loves her sister Akame: Seeing how Kurome is cuter than anyone or anything on this planet is only natural you'd end up falling in love with her. Oh Akame.... YESS!!! A HAPPY ENDING!!! Thank god it didn't end like the anime!! So, let's take the anime as the ending of "everyone fucks something up so they end up dying" ending. I almost shed a tear guys. It was so pretty and sad at the same time... Kurome saying goodbye to Akame, and Akame crying... Second 5/5 chapter. Honestly, I was prepared to see Kurome die while Wave was fighting Tatsumi AND Leone. I was prepared to see her die as in the anime. I was prepared for the edginess of Akame and Kurome's reasons to kill each other because they love one another, still.... this feels better! They gave each other a chance to back off, to not kill each other, even after fighting Akame kept giving her opportunity to back off so she had not to kill her little sister. Done, I'm prepared for more deaths, I mean Lubbock is already dead so I think there's no important character I like left living. And I doubt Akame will die but who knows. |

| this turn out to be the best outcome. both party reach to a good conclusion. lucky Wave get to fuck Kurome for his own. man I wish Tatsumi also end up like Wave, but not with Mine. I'd prefer either Akame or Esdeath. |

| I'm a big fan of this chapter, much better then how the anime decided to take this story. It gets rather tiring just seeing each character picked off one by one, a different outcome (if done right which I think this was) is much more desirable. That said given the history of the manga I would't be surprised for a bait and switch and for Kurome or Wave or both to die soon. |
