Well there we go...

No one is watching DC anymore? :(

Things will get quite accelerated very soon with Amuro now spying... hm I mean apprenticing at Kogoro's place.
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

I think it is because DCTP no longer subbing it, most of the fan used to watch their translation.

Jeez this situation is so freaking bad I understand her reasons, but I think if I was her I would keep quiet about this, married him and leave the country if possible. I know it is taboo, but they weren't raise together as brother and sister. They were stranger to each other. I mean they already slept together so what much else is there. She probably won't be able to have children anyway.

Yeah, pretty much what you said. I don't think suicide is the answer in this case....

This was cheesy but it actually felt like a pulp mystery story instead of a lazy, padded, thin story which is what this show turns in too often these days. It's also nice to see an apparent unusual suicide turn out to be exactly what it first appeared.

undoubtedly one of the best put together plot twists of the entire series.

for a show with an innumerable amount of characters, DC doesn't fall into the norm. making constant new cast appearances would usually wreck a series, but instead becomes an anticipated staple of the DC franchise and succeeds where others would miserably fail.

About Episode:

It was really sad I felt really bad for Bamba and Hatsune. But especially for Bamba he lost her twin for nothing. And it was too heart breaking story. But DC can sometimes really make you feel how characters feel also. Even DCTP Don't sub anymore this series I am going to still keep watching it.

Was it just coincidence or did Amuro really want to just be a apprentice detective I don't thinks so. But let's see where this is going.

Probably one of the biggest twists a case has had in this anime. Felt a little ridiculous but I'll take it. And an apparent suicide that actually was a suicide, who woulda thunk. I could tell t hat new guy is going to be a pain in the ass.

I expected that but still.... Damn. Tough luck.

Why are they so against incest though? Honestly, I think it's fine if they marry even if they're twins. As long as they adopt.

Yup, this case left me depressed.

Wow, this episode really hit me hard.
Can't imagine the feels of the groom.
Yet, suicide is the worst thing to do regardless of the situation. It just makes it harder for everyone around!

Case File #667/#668
Wedding Eve

Important Milestone:
  • New Character: Tōru Amuro, a young detective who will become very important down the series.

And the tears never stopped flowing, never stopped flowing, uh uh uh. Notice how the tragic cases are often set in a heavy rain these days. It's a cliche I've seen in the newer episodes. Oh well. I cried good regardless.

I didn't enjoy this tragedy as much as the previous ones from the TV originals - ironically. I felt there was less impact here, particularly because I never felt much love between the couple. I didn't feel that the case set up their closeness very well at the beginning, such that by the end of it, while I did cry over the tragedy of it all (made worse by the husband bawling his eyes out), I felt like this tragedy didn't earn the right to be sorrowful. I wish there have been more exposition at the beginning or thereafter. It doesn't help that they never explained (clearly) why she chose to commit suicide.

That being said, this was still a great writing, especially when it deconstructs the usual routines of the show. We know the suspect, his excuses seem like a trick, and we dismiss the simplest answer of all that makes sense - there was no trick, and the most obvious answer was the correct one all along. It's like Conan said in the screencap, it's perhaps an unwelcome truth we didn't want to be exposed...

Some other interesting things that happened:
- Conan introduces himself as a freeloader living in with Ran and Kogoro.
- Conan being more perceptive than needed, looking around making observations like a crazy person... Watch out for that Sherlock eccentricity, Conan!
- Ran talking about the amazing achievements of DNA testing - including finding out people who changed their appearance to deceive others (Conan shudders at this notion).
- We see a tiny spotlight on Kogoro's past with his wife, when he used to chase away all the boys she attracted back in school.
- "I'll never understand why men always want to monopolize women," a line uttered by the wife when they teased the subject of cheating on each other.
- "Bourbon on the rocks", a line that hints upon Amuro's real identity.
- A new opening theme and ending theme; I liked the ending better, it plays on the idea that an old classmate of Shinichi (who had a crush on him) got shrunk and is now in his elementary school. Cute.

Damn, that was pretty sad. I suspected a suicide but that twist ending was pretty surprising. Didn't think they would turn out to be siblings. I'm also interested to see what role Amuro will play in the future of this series....

This has got to be one of the saddest cases in the series so far. I feel really sorry for that guy.

Amuro is looking to be a great addition to the cast. He reminds of zapp renfro from kekkai sensen.

I still think the spider case was the saddest, it just stuck to me esp the after scene. Already figured out they had to be related somehow by the end of the first part and by revealing her to be shorter than avg

One of the better cases recently that takes me back to DC's first cases, when they felt more mature. I didn't feel suicide was the answer either. In this case, ignorance is bliss. Should have never sought the truth if you weren't prepared to hear it ;(

A genuine suicide. I was too used to murders being presented as suicides I forgot this outcome was even possible from DC.

Sad ending, really feel sorry for the guy for more reasons than one. Good episode.

Why is the person creating this thread such an ass? Stop spoiling shit dude.

This case was pretty sad like others said, I suppose in her eyes how could she go back to the man who she probably slept with after finding out the truth. Man this makes me miss early DC episodes.
