| I read answer before I watched it... I can only say that I wish people would stop saying things like: ProphecyPriest said: This episode was supposed to be the ultimate clash of ideals and peak psychological warfare at its finest, a pure genius literature showing what makes Kinoko Nasu deemed as one of the best writers in the entire animanga. And no I'm not joking, it's just THAT good. Because when you go into it after having heard things like this over and over again from multiple people, it will never live up to expectations. It's overhyped if not necessarily overrated. |
| But well, after reading something like Chinese cartoon porns that lack proper stories a dozen of times already, it would be understatement that this scene was simply "good" even from objective view. Unless you simply had no feelings, of course. I agree though that being overhyped can be a bad thing, even if it's humanly to do so. Muv-Luv Total Eclipse anime is one of them, it's supposed to be an anime gate for people to know Muv-Luv series yet it felt extremely lacking in comparison. |

Wait... wouldn't this become a small plothole later? in the VN, UBW wasn't used at all, that's why he can see everything that happened. The use of UBW in the first place creates a plot hole in that it was shown literally seconds earlier that Archer was very low on mana... on top of it being shown in the previous episode that he was running too low to even sustain UBW. It doesn't make sense at all, quite simply UBW should not be used here. You just kinda have to be willing to overlook all that for the thematic punch that using UBW here brings. |
