| Faaantastic episode. I see that they [the producers? Or writers? Whoever...] tried to get Asano to redeem himself in the eyes of the audience, at the end there. I still kind of have to agree with other commenters in that I hope he's finally out of the series. At the same time... I won't be too surprised if he comes back. Nor too disappointed, since it seems like he actually was kind of coming to his senses there. And even if he didn't die, maybe Youko can find some way to throw him back to Japan. |

The final stretch of this arc is upon us. I wish the rest of the arcs were more like this one, or the second half of the first arc. |

| Asano probably died there. There was something melancholy about that resigned, bitter laugh he had when he came to terms with it, and it did elicit some sympathy. However, it's still jarring to see him go from a gun-toting crazed killer to an altruistic messenger all of a sudden, as if the anime was in a rush to kill him off. |

| I don't understand why Shoukei says that she has met Asano previously...this should've been her first time seeing him & recognizing he's a foreigner. I only remember Kantai meeting Asano while saving his group from bandit attack. Can someone please help me remember the point where Shoukei met with Asano. |
