Should i just read the manga for one piece or stick with the anime? I just feel like the fighting animations are getting kind of lazy

How about you make up your own mind? Look at the pros and cons that matter to you and decide. You can read a manga as fast as you want, there will be no filler(though One Piece usually has quite good filler). Is that what you want? But that means there will also be no sound, music, color, animation, voices, etc. Although you can play the One Piece soundtrack while you read. Does the animation bother you enough that you would rather read the manga? Do you expect that they'll change the animation for you or will continue this way?

It all comes down to do the other things the anime can offer you that's different than the manga make up for the lazy animation enough for you to continue? That's all you gotta ask yourself, if no then read the manga, if yes then stay with the anime.

Personnaly I prefer watching the anime because I can appreciate all the movements in the fight (it's difficult in action manga to see how they move).

Anime - don't let the animation get you down, it's supposed to be like that.

Both.

Manga is sometimes better. Show is sometimes worse. When fillers are afoot however, you should read the manga until they're gone.

It depends. I enjoyed watching the anime but since the manga was more advanced then I started reading the manga.
The manga is better drawn but you don't get to listen to the soundtracks or the opening and ending songs which are actually good.
It's up to you to decide.

I say manga. A lot of anime episodes try to adapt a single chapter per episode which makes everythinh in the anime feel unbelievably slow.

I say just read the manga. The anime can be slow-paced sometimes and recently the animation isn't that good... just my opinion. I watched the anime and read the manga too and I prefer the manga.
But there's always the thing about the colors and soundtrack. It's really about what you like the most.

I'm one of that few people who prefer the anime. I stacked the whole episodes of Punk Hazard arc and marathoned them. It was really satisfying. Now, I'm doing the same with Dressrosa. I still read the manga weekly, though. Maybe you could try the same.

I don't read the manga but the one piece anime is good to marathon not for waiting for one episode a week with little or no plot progression.

The manga is better; the anime however shouldn't be missed. At least, for arcs like the East Blue, Water 7 and Thriller Bark.

Manga. But I personally go with whatever is the original on pretty much everything... with very few exceptions.

I will say up until recent arcs, I think One Piece has one of the greatest anime adaptions, as far as the longer series go. But the previous 2 arcs (like 100 eps.) in the anime have been pretty slow-paced and boring.

Unless you're someone who just hates reading manga, you should definitely read the manga. THEN, if you still want more you could go and watch the anime.

Both are boring right now, but manga would be better, then the anime. The anime has a shitload of fillers and the animation quality isn't always the best. You could always skip the fillers though, makes the amount of episodes to watch less daunting. Just don't get your hopes up about the after timeskip stuff, it pales in comparison to what happened before.

Manga.

Always pick the original source when in doubt, most of the times, they are the best options.

I, personally like the manga, but! with anime its a different story since you have to wait cause the manga is ahead, but that just makes it more exciting. People say the animation is kinda meh. . ., try watching every episode on HD which I always do that meh, will turn into " this is what im talkin' about". Plus the audio, you get that bonus as well.

Just do both. I watched the anime at first then the waiting kicked in after I catched up, so I started reading from romance dawn to current. Same story waiting is always present. So its just up to you if you have the time.

well http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece-colored
if you use this youi can atleast get up to like right before the time skip and read it all colored.

personally i think the anime, one piece is a great story but they've built such a large world with so many different abilities and things going on its very hard to understand exactly what happens in fights sometimes. besides one piece anime animations should only be poopish until like enies lobby.

the show increases its quality multiple times, first noticeable is around enies lobby arc. then after they leave sabaody it goes up slightly some more. then during the whitebeard war arc the quality increases once again. then after the time skip the most noticeable quality increase occurs.

depends on if you value the fight scenes or the story more if you ask me anime is better for fights and manga makes for a better understanding of the story.

I started with the anime and until Impel Down it was really good. But then starting with Marineford it became a mess. Very slow pace, annoying added scenes, removed scenes from the manga... They were too focused on making it a show for kids.
Plus there is many differences between the manga and the anime. Personally I prefer the manga, I even read all the chapters from the beginning to see the difference myself and really it was a different and more enjoyable experience !
