LOL Hisoka's reaction when he finds out Chrollo can't use nen xP

Anyways, that was awesome. Can't wait for the next arc.

Lol'd when Gon almost sat down right next to the two troupe members in the auction.

On rewatch, I have to say I appreciate and like his arc so much more. Before I spent too much time feeling confused and waiting for all the enemies to die (which never happened) to actually see Kurapika's character progression. In the end, he chose his friends over revenge. The Phantom Troupe also learned they cared more about each other than they should, from Uvo to saving their leader and Paku's sacrifice. This episode ended with a little bit of humanity, that bittersweet "life goes on" feeling as you live and learn. It was a good arc on rewatch.

Also the Hisoka cockblock was hilarious.

My reaction was the same as Hisoka. I was preparing for some great fights with the Phantom troupe, but we only really got two or three. Was expecting more Phantom Troupe members to kick it. Somewhat disappointment with that ending. I want death and vengeance!

I'm so disappointed by the end of this arc. I wanted to see the troupe members die so badly. I hope there's some sort of update on them later in the show. But damn I'm frustrated by that ending. :/

Well, the Phantom Troupe shenanigans are far from being over I guess. They only lost two members, so can recruit back again when Kuroro will come back.

Great ending to the arc, but it definitely left me wanting more of a resolution to Kurapika's quest. I highly doubt he'll be content to let them get away. Pakunoda actually turned into one of my favourite Troupe members, so I'm really sad to see her go. The scene where she saw the cat was pretty touching. Looking forward to the next arc!

Recently rewatched Yoeknew. And some things were not as good as I remembered them to be. Phantom troupe interactions were great, Kurapika taking down Uvgon, Capturing Chrollo, Pakunda, phinx joke :P were still great.

But other main plot points were not as good. Zeno and Silva vs Chrollo was bleh in animation and everything, was still awesome to see Zeno ans Silva again. Killua's conflict regarding his cowardice felt cheap because of what I know from CA arc. Gon's hypocrisy also annoyed me more due to CA arc also.

And man I realized that Kurapika vs Uvo was one of the very few fights in the series that was both convulsive and climactic, its as if it wasnt written by Togashi.

This episode was underwhelming and un-ambitious. Felt generic choosing friendship over his revenge.

Still love the arc and want the subplot to continue only thing that interests me in the franchise now.

I am honestly very supprised that this ended without a fight killing all of the troupe members. In any other shounen anime this would have had a final encounter with all the members and in the end they would be dead.
On one hand I'm disappointed to see them alive on the other hand have I not seen something like this and find it very refreshing.
I like this show more and more.

Really liked the arc, but the conclusion was kind of anticlimactic. The Phantom Troupe was a pretty damned cool set of enemies, so that might be why I'm disappointed that it ended like that. D: There were quite a many intense moments, including Urvogin vs. Kurapika, Zoldyck family showing up,and PT conning the entire Mafia community, but I feel it went downhill after the Mafia called off the hit. Oh well...

Anyway, on to the next arc..!

I just wish this arc was a little longer and that we get a Hisoka vs Chrollo fight. Maybe one day lord Togashi will answer our prayers and make this happen...
But man, Kurapika trolled the shit out of Hisoka lmao xD

Your post doesn't make any fuckin sense. That's like me re watching Naruto and saying Sasuke's plot line felt cheap because i know Itachi's real story. Every show will not feel the same after re watching it, since you already know everything.
and Gon's hypocrisy shouldn't "annoy" you because that's called character development, he was a 12 year old kid from an island who never experienced tragedy/losing a friend, and thought that you can always forgive and forget.

Lastly, you seriously criticizing the "choosing friendship" while having Naruto and Naruto Shippuden in your top 3 anime? lmao ok...

Okay. How is that even similar? the truth about Itachi isn't a cop out, like this thing between Killua and his brother. My whole point was that Killua's cowardliness is

So you misunderstood my point, it was barely a plot twist.

mhmm. That's a long discussion and there is a difference between hypocrisy and character development. The former alludes to character inconsistency not change.

That's my point. In Naruto, Sasuke choose his revenge over his friendship and the bonds he made in the leaf village, and sacrificed his comrade to get his revenge (Karen) The opposite of what Kurapika did. So quite a miss there from your attempted mockery "lmao ok...''

Hi, guys, just want to clarify a point about the yorknew city arc. After the conflict ends and the greed island arc begins, aren't all of the items at the auction the fakes made by kurupi? So isn't greed island and everything still in the hands of the phantom troupe

I didn't understand paku's death.

She died because she disobeyed Kurapika's rule. The rule was that if she told the other members about Kurapika's abilities (Because only she knew so far), she'd die instantly.

Same here. She was 100% loyal to Chrollo, and sacrificed herself to earn back the trust of rest of her friends. If you ask me, she'd be among my top 3 favorite characters in this Arc.

HxH is actually supposed to be a much darker anime. That's what the 1999 version was made for. 2011 version starts off adventurous, but gets dark in the later half.

The end of the Troupe arc (for now?) left an odd feeling. For some reason, I felt bad that Pakunoda ended up dead, happy that the other guy showed up at the auction to to thank the two on her behalf, and just left with overall emotions I didn't expect at the end here. I damn near teared up when we saw Gon, Killua, and Pakunoda talking (where she mentions they can just run away with her injuries).

Really good episode and I can't wait to watch more.

That was a pretty awesome arc! I have a feeling we'll encounter the troupe again in the future since Chrollo is still alive (and I think he'll eventually be able to use Nen again). Kind of a pity though, I wanted to see Chrollo versus Hisoka! And I have a feeling (or at least hope) we would encounter the troupe again because this ending is sort of inconclusive for the whole kurapika against phantom troupe thing. There's so many loose ends I just feel like there'll be another encounter in the future (or at least hope so!). I'd be sorely disappointed if they won't, because this ending makes me feel like we're just left hanging like that... u___u

I think this arc is heavily about Kurapika, wanted to see Gon and Killua in action too but understandable that their Nen levels are not there yet. Hopefully by the next time they meet the troupe again (if they will), they'd developed some badass Nen abilities XD

Wonder if Kurapika being sick is a side effect of some sort from him putting that chain on 2 hearts?

And Paku made me somewhat sympathise with the troupe, but only on their affection and bond for each other, in the end they are still people who enjoy killing other people..

The ending where Gon and Killua met the 2 troupe members were pretty funny XD

So I'm guessing Chrollo still controls the Ten Dons? It's a wonder the mafia is still functioning when so many people (and its leaders) have died..

LMAO at Hisoka's reaction.

So glad Shizuku didn't die. I would have dropped this so hard.

LMAO at Gon and Killua's reaction when they saw Phinks and Feitan. I would have dip, too.

Got to love it when the narrator specifically mentions the next arc.

I hope we get to see Shizuku and Machi again.
