5/5 Compelling narrative and sad, because in some circumstances TAMnI already knowing some of his statements are wrong and you have a sense of deja vu in some contexts. ^ ^ " Intriguing storyline, beautiful graphically and facial expressions that finishes the drawings. Also good animations. Fabulous as everything was so rational and non-obvious, starting with the actions and ending with the dialogue. * _ * This series is not lowered, but even more inalza the bar that measures the overall quality of the series of Railgun in total! : D Maximum grade! ;) |

I can't wait to see the Railgun Purists begin start dropping Railgun S because of Touma's role in the arc. Kazejimonji said: Also, power levels are determined by mental calculation speed as well. Not just on sheer power and force. That's why the difference between Railgun and Meltdowner is evident in this episode. Though the gap can be arguably small There is also the calculation speed issue, I agree. However, I don't think that it is as big a factor as relevance to research. However, it is still an important factor. wakka9ca said: CreationBreaker said: wakka9ca said: CreationBreaker said: Here is where I will reiterate. We are discussing whether Mikoto or Mugino would win in a fair fight. You are right that manipulation of the terrain and wit are absolutely necessary in combat. However, by fair fight, I mean straight up Mugino and Mikoto at full power. That means no Frenda. That means none of Frenda's rigged traps. That also means Mikoto would be at full power. It's hard to define what is really a fair fight. Would a perfectly fair fight for you would be the two sitting down and see which one can produce the more energy? I thought I was clear. Apparently, I wasn't. A fair fight between the two of them would be a 1v1 where both start at full power...no conditions prepared by either side in advance (no fuse lines or explosive dolls) and no intervention from anyone else. In other words, the entire fight for the past three episodes by this definition is not fair. However, had Mikoto encountered Mugino alone, even in this factory, that would be a fair fight. But you see this is the problem. The nature of powers between two espers (not restricted to Railgun vs. Meltdowner) is different. The intensity of their powers is not even the same so there is no such thing as "fair" fight. One would be more advantageous in one environment than the other. Meltdowner is clearly disadvantaged in a closed space such as a factory compared to Railgun for instance. Railgun is disadvantaged in a direct fight compared to Mugino. The very nature of the way they use their power does not allow any fair fight. The very fighting STYLE of Railgun is different from Mugino and Accelerator. It's useless talking about "what ifs". There is no meaning behind a "fair" fight if its conditions are unlikely to happen in reality. I don't understand this obsession with "fair" fight. It's not like one of them is threatening to kill the others family if they don't yield... The fair fight you are describing is practically unachievable and useless. You might have more success just simply directly quantify the raw energy they can produce. In that case Mugino clearly wins. Also, that would be a "fair" but no longer a fight... Finally, something I can agree with you on. You're right in the fact that Mikoto has a very distinct fighting style when compared to Mugino or Accelerator. You're also right that depending on the battlefield that a battle between them would turn out differently. My "obsession with fair fights" is because someone earlier claimed that Mikoto would obviously beat Mugino if she was at full power because he was improperly powerscaling [I know it's OBD terminology but I couldn't find a better word for it]. I was just making the point that Mikoto would not have beaten Mugino without Fre|nda's traps even if she was at full power. Misaka can manipulate anything with iron not only "Frenda's Bombs" if you substitute Frenda's bomb into other things the result will only be the same. So saying in this episode Misaka only won because of the dolls is not true. If they are both full power the battle can be decided who hits first and it depends how the fight would went. It's not a draw but they can defeat each other. |

hoho frenda.. hope I will see she get punch by mugino lol XD btw misaka vs mugino.. hmm awesome battle.. I think it is not really fair.. misaka is too weak .. she even cant use her railgun.. hmm.. I wonder how it will be if she fight mugino with her perfect condition :3 oh looks like mugino dont want misaka to help her lol XD |

the fight was ok, it was easy to prefict the result, no clear winner an the data succesfully destroyed, though Misaka could ve won if she had gave the final blow to Mugino after she knocked her with the doll, she was quite naive there, it was obvious that wouldnt be enough to put her down next ep filler? hopefully not |

And the sister arc in Index 1 now begins... I like stories like these. Where they show the same plot but from a different point of view and it lines up with the first point of view. Mugino was insane in that fight. Gotta give props to Misaka for being able to use her surroundings so well. Also one awesome thing I noticed is the sisters arc in Railgun S ends at episode 10 when the sisters arc for Index 1 starts at episode 10. |

So after the fight from the factory last night with ITEM, there's not a scratch or blemish on her skin. Way to kill the continuity. Guess her electric prevents oxidation, so she regenerates super quickly. Or it speeds up her cells so she heals quickly. No one knows, except that she is beyond superhuman. Oh good! It's TOUMA! Next episode is gonna be a blast! |

I don't know if there is such a thing as necroing in this forums, like in the OutskirtsBattleDome, but Misaka in 100% state will just defeat Mugino. For one, Mugino can only fire beams in front of her. Seeing how a doll can knock her out, Iron sand suddenly coming from anywhere will be able to knock her out. Two, her barrier's not always active. An unexpected attack will easily be able to at least wound her. Misaka's barrier is always active, and while it might not be as strong as Mugino's barrier, will at least protect her from damage. Three, Misaka can detect her attacks, while Mugino cannot. If she was able to, she would have been able to dodge that doll. Despite being crazy, she was battle-ready. Four, Misaka can bend her attacks, just like how Mugino can bend hers. This complements with three with advantage to Misaka. If Misaka can see her attacks even before she can fire it, she can easily defend against it. Five, Misaka has more variety to her powers than Mugino. Magnetism, Iron Sand, Hacking, and being able to sense electrons. This complements with Four in advantage to Misaka, since electricity is not the only way misaka can attack. Six, even if Mugino's beams are faster than Railgun, which I doubt it is, she does not have enough reaction time to use it to disintegrate it if Misaka fired one. This is seen when she can't use a barrier against a pretty slow (compared to railgun at least) doll. Seven, Misaka is pretty much more battle-smart than Mugino. This is easily seen. Even if you say, "make her calm and they're on par". she pretty much acts with her teammates most of the time, thus her strategies revolves around them. This is seen when it was pretty much 3 v 1. Also, Mugino is insane XD. Eight, Misaka has more control than Mugino. Mugino cannot use her powers too much, or she will disintegrate her body as well. Misaka can, since she is immune to her own powers. Nine, the fact that Misaka holds her own despite having about 10% or less of her power left strengthens every point I have made. Ten, while Mugino is hot, Misaka wins the fight if they fought 100%. Misaka surrounds her with metal beams, Iron sand, or anything. If Mugino tries to fire on her, Misaka bends it. She cannot melt all, since she can only fire in front of her, even with the prism. Try to barrier it away, and she'll pretty much get fired by a Railgun soon afterwards. Misaka deserves her rank as Rank 3, although Rank 2 and 1 is on pretty much a whole different level. Rank 7 powers is still unknown, and we don't know who Rank 6 is. |

Even if Misaka was at 100% if her multiple applications of her powers dont work they just wont. Iron sand isnt invisible and can be easily seen and Misaka is wide open when using it unless if you think that using other attacks wont affect the sand itself.Mugino only needs to aim at her to stop her. Misaka's default barrier wont do anything against Meltdowner. If it was true she wouldnt run away. She HAS to use her power on the beams in order to change their course. Why would she detect the doll?Pretty sure that Misaka didnt detect Mugino herself when she came from behind, unless if you mean that Mugino doesnt emit anything. And Magnetism is weaker than their AIM fields. Same for Mugino. What? The problem was the dolls maneuverability not speed, and Railgun doesnt have that.Mugino just has to aim and fire at the spot she feels the power coming from before Misaka uses it.It would probably be a draw. A)Mugino showed a lot of planning.B)Mugino cant use her powers in several ways.C)The 1 on 1 fight didnt give Misaka the upper hand... That doesnt mean that she cant beat Misaka before that happens. Wth holds on her own you mean running away most of the time?.And yeah we saw Mugino playing around before getting hit on the head. Misaka isnt so fast and powerful to do all those things in a sec. The Ranks have nothing to do with power levels but yeah Misaka deserves #3. |

I don't think it like that, don't get me wrong, i like Mikoto, but on this episode if they were fighting at full power, Shizuri will more likely won it like 7 out of 10. Iron sand is good, but it will restrict Mikoto's movement and concentration, if that happens, she will be an easy target for Meltdowner laser. The "channeling" time that Mikoto needed for casting iron sand will brought her death. Without Frenda's bomb, at full power her chance for a true win is that iron sand and Railgun shot which is inferior to Meltdowner's atomization ability. Mikoto won because she didn't have to fight Shizuri head-on and can just keep concentrating on dodging Shizuri's attack and in the end Mikoto used Frenda's bomb. If Mikoto attack her head-on, Shizuri will melt her down, if you know what i mean. Well, Mikoto clearly deserved her spot as third because power level has nothing to do with it, but her power application surely really fascinating. She can make use of it in battle if only she understand it more, she lack experience. We can easily see that #7 is clearly stronger than #3 and #4. But again, if we talk about the current one(up to the novel), Mikoto now has more stronger feats even without her 5.5, so now Mikoto more likely won 8 out of 10. |

The Ranks have nothing to do with power levels but yeah Misaka deserves #3. Oh, yeah. I missed things like this. *Ahem* Except it will work. See Episode 17 or 18, I don't remember. The introductory scene. A robot throws a steel beam at Mugino. Mugino uses barrier. Mugino is wounded. Now, Misaka can do that with 20 more steel beams, larger ones and faster ones, at that. That will most likely hurt her. ALOT. I know her barrier wouldn't deflect it or anything like that. Its just it will dampen it. Like make it weaker. A little bit. Except that when using the iron sand, she can move her hands as well. See battle against that manifestation of 10,000 upper level users. She was just basically smiling with her hands down while using iron sand protecting her and attacking that thing. Basically, she can use Iron Sand while deflecting Mugino's beams. Because it uses her powers? Mikoto did not detect her as she wasn't using her powers yet. I mean, see ITEM exccept one member vs Mikoto scene. She knows where Mugino's beams are coming from. I don't mean that scene. I'm talking about the scene where Misaka uses a doll and Mugino says "I don't have enough time to set up a barrier!" or something. This would mean that her Barrier would take up some time to set up. Maybe a second or two. She has planning, yes. I'm not saying she's not smart. However, Misaka just shows more planning and cunning than her. Of course the 1 on 1 fight did not give her the upper hand, she had almost no power left whatsoever. No, she can't. She can't even properly hit a tired, wounded, weakened Misaka. Let alone a full powered one. See final battle scene, where Mugino falls on the bridge , aims and fires at Misaka. She didn't even hit her despite Misaka just hanging there. Seeing as she fought with Mugino, yes she held her own. So is Mugino. Misaka can, in fact, use electricity to speed her up. Seeing in the level 5's, #1 and #2 massively stronger then her (not counting almost level 6 Misaka) and #7 is at least on par with her, in the power level sense she deserves a #3. Within the level 5's, of course. |

Seeing how Mikoto can bend her beams as well, she can't melt her down. Mikoto uses Iron Sand or Steel to break through Mugino's barrier. If it was 5.5 Mikoto (5.9 really), she wouldn't even need to flick a finger XD. Seeing as how 5.9 Mikoto can probably beat Accelerator. Probably. |

Oh you mean the one where Misaka leans back at the last second?Pretty good shot for a wounded and angry Mugino. So what you are saying i s"Misak can still dodge attacks so Mugino's sucks".Em no it doesnt work like that. "PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY PARRY "Yeah being lucky that the enemy herself left behind "weapons" and that Mugino talks a lot means "she held her own". No she cant.Anime filler bullshit. How Many times would that have helped her in the main story.Lest not talk about how much bullshit the power levels are in the filler arc. Misaka deserves her rank as Rank 3, although Rank 2 and 1 is on pretty much a whole different level. Rank 7 powers is still unknown, and we don't know who Rank 6 is. I don't know if you can double post here, but whatevs XD. No, it won't. Again, see her fight against manifestation of upper level users. I don't see why. Maybe in "fatality" sense, but no, Iron Sand that can basically cut through most things like hot knife through butter and Literal Billions of volts of electricity can do what she does. Probably. Dont use the anime as proof.Unless if we make it a different series from the novels/manga with different powerlevels. Iron Sand and Railgun arent as fast as Meltdown. Mikoto, and the same goes for Mugino, cant FULLY bend them and Mugino has the advantage of multiple shots at once, 4 or more when using Silicon Burn. And You again assume that Mugino can only use her barrier to defend. |

FakePriest said: AzureDaora said: The Silent Party arc is full of bullshit.MIsaka is weaker or stronger than her enemies depending on the PLOT.FakePriest said: Even if Misaka was at 100% if her multiple applications of her powers dont work they just wont. Mugino can MELT the steel beam. Why should she use a barrier? Except that Misaka cant do it in an instant.Till she uses them Mugino will already have melt her.You are also assuming that there are steel beams around for her to use. No.SHe HAS to change its course. If she doesnt do anything and takes it on she will DIE.That's why she evades EVERY beam. Is that from the anime?Sorry but in the manga she didnt use any barrier while using iron sand at the same time. Espers, supposedly, can FEEL AIM fields that are similar to hers. And AIM fields can actually affect machines, like the wind turbines a lot stronger than plain magnetism.BOTH suck at detecting powers weaker than their power attacks. I dont know what scene you mean but... http://img.bato.to/comics/2011/07/13/t/read4e1de7671354e/Chapter30_Railgun05_1984e1de767469b8.png It had nothing to do with speed but with maneuverability .I dont care about what the anime said. No Misaka was lucky that she Frenda forgot her bombs her plans were all based on those.Mugino was going for a 1 on 1 using only her powers after she found out her identity. Again the ranks have nothing to do with power levels. And #7 is stronger than her.Unless if you mean that the guy that was holding back an almost level 6 Misaka AzureDaora said: Flashoftheback said: AzureDaora said: I don't know if there is such a thing as necroing in this forums, like in the OutskirtsBattleDome, but Misaka in 100% state will just defeat Mugino. Lol XD. Saying something is "bullshit" does not make it not true. Whatever you say, it happened. Also, when did "Misaka is weaker or stronger depending on the plot" happen? If you're talking about Misaka vs Thousands of robots she had to hold back since she was holding the kid. She had to use the barrier because it was sudden. If you're talking about if Misaka uses steel beams against her, she can only fire beams in front of her, and can only fire four beams at a time, at that. The prism, while spreading it out, makes every single beam weaker. Its not enough to melt huge steel beams or anything of the sort, especially if they're plenty. I'm not talking about her barrier XD. Her barrier is just pretty much a dampener. If Misaka-san is hit directly, she won't die instantly. What I'm talking about is using Iron Sand effortlessly. Which makes sense since unless Misaka is a metalbender, she does not need to flail her arms about to move stuff. She has shown multiple times to use multiple variations of her powers at the same time. Oh. My bad, then. Yes, that scene. I was under the impression that she needed time to set up her barrier. The only thing she says was "Its too late to make a barrier" in the anime. However, this would bring up a new weakness on Mugino's part. If maneuverability is an issue against her barrier, that would mean her barrier had weak spots. And? Whats your point? This, in fact, only reinforces Misakas ability to think through as she knows that she's too tired to fight Mugino directly using powers only. Not that, the part where Mugino falls on a bridge and Misaka tries to save her, but shoots beams on her. Misaka didn't even move. Wounded or not, it should not have affected accuracy that much. Also, when did I say Mugino sucks? She's pretty fuckin awesome. She still held her own. She dodges her attacks. She uses everything she can to beat Mugino. A fight isn't only about power, even 100% Misaka uses strategies as well. Even if she cannot, based on feats she has proven to faster than Mugino. She was dodging Mugino's attacks easily when she had above 10% of her power, although that was a 3V1. I'm not talking about the ranks though. I'm talking about powah levels. #7 is probably on par with Misaka, he even decides it himself. They both say "I would lose if we fought full power". I would rank them as: 1. Accelerator 2. Kakine 3. Misaka/ Sogiita 4. Mugino 5. Misaki 6. ? Which is almost the same, really. Misaki's powers vary greatly from person to person, while Mugino's powers are out classed by the others. Sogiita has shown great power, and so has Misaka, but not as much HAXXORZ as those two. Also, Almost level 6 Misaka? while he was able to parry her attacks because of his unkown power, a little electricity sent him flying and wounded. Misaka at that level wasn't even trying. She was just standing and letting electricity do her work. He was never shown to be stronger than normal Misaka, let alone Level 6 Misaka, which can, again, probably beat Accelerator. Probably. Level upper happened in the manga as well, didn't it? That makes it canon, what's wrong with that? No proof of that. Iron Sand, yes. But I don't think she can "meltdown" small particles of sand so easily, even with a prism. Railgun is Mach speed. I want to bring up calculations, but I have no ability to. If only OBD calculators were here XD. Misaka can use more power than Mugino, and use more than 4 bolts of lightning as well. I mean, by shocking Kuroko she uses multiple bolts. Mugino cannot use her power too much in one stroke. It is stated that if she does so, she will melt her own body. As such, she is not immune to her own powers. Yes, they cannot. But they can as much to protect them. Seeing as Mugino has no ability to tell what Misaka's going to do next, while Misaka has, it gives Misaka a huge advantage. Say she uses Iron Sand to surround her and she would be unable to see Misaka. She can't exactly meltdown sand particles, as they are separate and do not share the same body, thus making it harder to transmit heat to one another. Misaka would be able to Railgun her then, without her even knowing. Then what can Mugino use her barrier for? She'll throw it or something O.o? |

I already said that the only thing that made Miko won that fight was because she didn't attack Shizu head on. Miko would be unable to move if she concentrating to make iron sand tornado and while doing that she will be unable to divide any more focus to bend meltdowner. Without her spider movement, Miko will be an easy target. Meltdowner is an atomazing laser, it has piercing property and it is faster than iron sand, Miko will melted before the iron sand touched Shizu. |

No I am talking about the Misaka vs ONE robot. She cant do anything there but she is OP against 1000 of them while holding a kid.Not to mention that the same robots that caused her problems when there was only one cant fight students without powers. That plus several other scenes show how bullshit fillers are. Can you create your own scenarios without weakening the chars?Mugino can instantly melt stuff. And Misaka needs TIME to use Steel beams in any way. http://img.bato.to/comics/2011/07/13/t/read4e1de68078250/Chapter28_Railgun05_1314e1de680910cc.png Oh wait she can do it even with her barriers... And look at the size of that hole... The power isnt reduced only the area is decreased. But that doesnt even matter since Misak wont get the time to use steel beams from every side. She will die instantly.Do you realize what Meltdowner can do? Except that using Iron Sand along with any other attacks would effect the sand itself, not the manipulation. It's physics that Index so much cares about. Em?Are you grasping on straws?Of course the barrier doesnt have maneuverability that is my point, but then again she didnt need the barrier to defend herself. My point is that Mugino isnt worse at planning than Misaka just becaus Misaka HAD resources to make plans with. I rec to watch that scene again.Mugino falls, then fires beam and Misaka leans a bit back at the last moment. The rest of the beams are just targeted at the last known location of Misaka. Well if just staying alive means held her own then I agree. As I said he was shown holding back her powers for a certain someone to attack. And he was only injured.I still believe that he is stronger than the normal Misaka. Except that she didnt do anything like that as far as I remember. If you could post the panel/page. A particle is particle.Mass doesnt matter as long as they come in contact with the beam. And I am talking about execution time. Not max speed of the attack itself. I was talking about the Sand and the steel beams tho. No Misak cant tell what Mugino is going to do next. What BOTH can do is feel the path of the attack that is coming. Again, why would sand somehow stop Meltdowner? And as I said even for Iron Sand Misak needs 1-2 seconds or more to do that.Mugino needs less than that to fire at Misaka. Railgun emits power before even being fired. She can use the barrier .The most that would hit her is the blast itself but that isnt fatal. I said that she doesnt rely only on her barrier. |

She was trying to control it, but perplexed that she can't. She isn't really trying, nor was she hurt in any way. She can, but not sand. Sand is separate from each other. While you may melt one part, the others parts won't melt since they are not really in one form. I never underestimated Mugino, you're overestimating her. You keep saying "Mugino can do this" while not really saying how. How can Misaka have not time? Misaka won't stand there while doing this, unlike Mugino who seems to be static as she relies on her power too much. Misaka dodges, runs, rolls, and is generally active in battle. No, she won't. Current Mugino, sure. But this Mugino cannot. Mugino has hit others before and they didn't die. Heck, Mugino hit Misaka, but she didn't melt. Again, Sand are separate entities. Index cares about physics, thus this. What? You don't even make sense anymore. How can a barrier maneuver? No, what I'm saying is that the doll was a threat to her barrier, as she stated the she cannot use it due to its manueverability, thus it must have flaws in some way. Do you know what maneuverability means? That's how an object moves with its speed in account. If her barrier's really omnidirectional, she would have just used her barrier. But no, she downright stated that she can't b/c of its maneuverability. Yet she did not really have feats that would suggest that she is a better planner than Misaka. Saying she is a better planner against Misaka and Misaka only won because of resources is contradicting, since that's what planning is. You use the environment to your advantage. She could have cut the bridge, she could have destroyed the ceiling, but no, she didn't. Seeing as she won, she held her own. I don't know why you ignore this because "Misaka had resources", when at 100% she could have replaced that with something else, say Steel Bars. Arguable. We don't know his powers yet. Its unquantifiable, in fact. Again, sand is separate. Even if she could melt them, which she cannot, Misaka can easily make more faster than Mugino can melt. I can't post pages or anything like that, so just search the fight where Misaka was able to know that Mugino was going to attack. She has EMP sense. Mugino and Misaka's powers are related, thus she can sense it. Misaka can dodge. Honestly, Misaka won't just stand there. She dodges her lasers while battered, tired, and nigh-powerless. 100% Misaka can do it easily. Mugino, on the other hand, likes to just stand there. Misaka was shown to be spiderman-like with her movement. All over the place. Railgun would blast through her barrier if beams can cut her. That is her only protection against most of Misaka's attacks. Flashoftheback said: I already said that the only thing that made Miko won that fight was because she didn't attack Shizu head on. Mikoto dodges all the time, I don't see why people disregard Mikoto as someone that can just stand. She's one of the more all-over-the-place characters. |

Em no.She had difficulties in general, she couldonly defend. It's not even arguable that she should have been abl eto stop it with Steel Beams or just destroy the limbs. I never said that she would melt every part.I only said that she will be able to use herbeams before Misak does anything with Iron Sand because of speed.I also said that the sand wont protect her. I say it because we have seen her doing it?How is that Mugino isnt moving an argument?Different position different actions. With the beams?Because her beam easily cut took out Frends and the arm of the soldier that was using 2's powers. I am talking about Misaka's powers.Even if the calculations for the manipulation are correct, if she uses other electromagnetic attacks the sand will be affected. It has nothing to do with sand particles being connected or not. Did you even read what I said about the barrier? So Mugino's resources are... destroying everything?Great planning. Nobody won.Misaka only managed to put Mugino in a position where she can't follow her anymore. The steel bars would need TIME to be ready.Mugino needs an instant to attack her. We dont know his powers but we saw what he can do WITHOUT KNOWING HIMSELF. Again:I never said that she would melt every part.I only said that she will be able to use herbeams before Misak does anything with Iron Sand because of speed.I also said that the sand wont protect her. Again. She can sense the attack but she can't tell what Mugino plans to do.She only knows that SOMETHING is coming.Same for Mugino. And you assume that Mugino that is more trained than Misaka CANT?She was never in a position where she NEEDED to do that. When did a beam cut her?The Railgun power lies in the coin.If the coin melts then only the blast is left. Yet she redirected her attacks and used attacks to take down dolls. You assume that she cant do anything for no reason. Moving and using the sand isnt a problem.Using other attacks is. Yes she moves around for a middle school girl with barely any training in self defence. Now imagine an agent of the city's darkness. |

Well, that's what i mean by Miko will be unable to move. Just moving will not gonna save her, she need the spider movement working, that's the first. But even so, Meltdowner still faster than her movement and will eventually hit her on consecutive attacks of 2 or 3, so she also need to bend her attack to avoid it, that's the second. Doing anything but above will be a death for Mikoto. See? at this point, the only outcome is draw or lose for Mikoto. If Mikoto force herself to use iron sand tornado which is a channeling skill and need focus and concentration, especially you know about her fight with Brunhild even though that's not the "current" feat we can take it as a reference about Mikoto's defensive ability, even with Brunhild holding baaaaaaaaaack, what Miko can do was only bend her attack and the scattered iron sand even only for stalling the battle. But even so, the most important thing is the laser will hit her even before the iron sand tornado shaping up because of speed difference. Now don't bring up Mikoto's Iron Sand Tsunami or her flying ability just to make Miko must win no matter what.-- The current Mikoto lost if she fight Shizuri head on, full power or not. |

No, she did not. She was thinking. Heck, we even hear her thoughts. She was perplexed as to how the robot was still standing when she tried to control it. No, because Mugino was never faster than Misaka. I'm saying that Mikoto won't just stand there while Mugino fires her beams. If she can do it nigh-powerless, she can do 100%. Yes, however I'm talking about Misaka. Misaka's barrier will interfere with the beam, dampening it. If we talk about science, this is what would happen. However, Misaka's barrier won't protect her entirely. That is, if Mugino even manages to hit Misaka. Mugino does not use other Electromagnetic attacks. If you're talking about Misaka, she can use multiple variations of her power at the same time. I do not even understand what you want to convey. Mugino downright states herself the she wanted to use the barrier, but couldn't because of the doll's maneuverability. This would mean her barrier had some sort of weakness. Seeing as she can just launch multiple metals easily, the time is less than a second. Mikoto can move while attacking, therefore she can dodge Mugino's beams. What? He knows his powers, he just won't tell it. He even explains his "Aurora guard" against Mikoto. She can dodge. Seriously. Is that so hard to grasp? Again, if Mugino can't even properly hit a tired, battered, stressed, nigh-powerless Misaka, how could she easily hit a 100% Misaka? Of course she won't know what Mugino is planning. She's not a mind-reader, although they say she can do it with enough mastery. However, she can sense Mugino's attacks since she has EMP sense. Mugino has no EMP sense, she can only bend her attacks. She can't stick to walls, use magnetism to propel herself, and use electricity as a charger. She is NOT faster than Misaka. I'm talking about steel beams on that last statement. Except that I doubt she can hit the coin. Moving at 3 times the speed of sound, possibly even more, and all. Even if her beams are faster, she does not have enough reaction time to beam the coin. Again, Mikoto uses Sand to hide herself, and uses Railgun at a place where she can't see her. Mugino cannot sense Misaka's electricity. She can, but she can only fire beams in front of her, thus can only use Barrier against Iron Sand where Misaka can just use anywhere she can. Behind her, beside her, behind her. She cannot melt it fast enough nor redirect it enough if she was taken aback by a flying doll. Again, SHE CAN use electricity while using Iron Sand. She does it time to time. She even does it against Accel. So you assume she's faster than Misaka because she's in the Dark Side of Academy City? What kind of assumption is that? Mugino was never shown to be faster than Misaka, even Mugino herself says that Misaka is annoying because she's too fast and has alot of freedom in her movement, dodging every single beam she fires. If Misaka didn't fight Espers, an esper with hundreds of esper powers, a manifestation of 10,000 people, robots, and giant robots and a level 5, she would just be a "middle school girl". She had her fair share of fights and experience as well. |

*Sigh* For the trillionth time, she dodged Mugino while being tired, battered, stressed, and Nigh-powerless. She can do it while being 100% all the more easier. Who said she has to do the Tornado? No, she just needs enough to hurt Mugino. Misaka is far from being an idiot, especially if she knows she has to constantly dodge her enemy's attacks. No, she won't. Mikoto wins this fight at 100%. |

The scene made the fight look like a total loss for Misaka. No matter how confused she is supposed to be,there are a dozen of ways she could stop it.MInd I remind you how quickly she made a metal barrier to cover from an explosion from behind in Level Upper arc?Misaka was nerfed in that fight so that the plot could go on. Railgun and Iron Sand ARE slower in execution than Mugino's beams. This isnt debatable. We have seen Misaka and Mugino use them so many times.WHat is faster?Collecting and manipulating sand or INSTANTLY firing a beam?Powering up a Railgun or INSTANTLY firing a beam? And Mugino wont just stand there if she HAS to move.Thats my point. I am talking about Misaka and no matter what she does she CANT make her power NOT affect her surroundings and that includes the sand in the Iron Sand attack. "I do not even understand what you want to convey" Yeah I understood that two posts ago. What I say:"he problem was the dolls maneuverability not speed" & "Of course the barrier doesnt have maneuverability that is my point, but then again she didnt need the barrier to defend herself." Yes it is a weakness but she CAN use something else.Whats your point in reaffirming what I say? No she cant fire multiple metal beams easily. She has to find them, control them(raise them to the air or something)(see first fight with Accel) and THEN fire them.A LOT slower than Mugino's beams. And you assume that Mugino will just stand there. No he DOESN'T know about his powers. If he did he could beat Ollerus.Ollerus himself says that. His explanations are bullshit he thinks on the spot, not intentionally of course. Yeah again you reaffirm what I say.Misaka can dodge and has great reflexes. That doesnt make Mugino weaker. She has a power based on electromagnetic manipulation but she cant sense EMP....okay... FOR FUCKS SAKE.That I say that Mugino is trained and she wont just stand there if needed doesnt mean she can use Misaka's way of moving. Again RAILGUN has charging time.Mugino can just put a barrier in front of her BEFORE Misak fires it.The coin will then melt when it comes into contact with it.Oh yeah and Mugino can block shockwaves as well so scratch what I said about the blast doing anything. And again, when did steel beams cut her? See answer about about Mugino's power's nature. You again assume that Mugino will just let Misak do all that before attacking herself. No she doesnt. And she DEFINITELY didnt use another attack while using Iron Sand in the first encounter with Accel. Without powers there is no reason to assume that Misaka is faster that Mugino. My point is that if Mugino HAS to move she will move. Those fight dont raise her physical abilities because you know...Misaka, unlike Touma, isnt fist fighting, she is using her powers all the time. AzureDaora said: No, she won't. I already stated that it's not a matter 100% or not, the feats Mikoto has didn't change, she can't use Railgun and iron sand on that fight, that's all. Being able to use that didn't change the chance on head-on battle because both of it are inferior to Meltdowner. If it's not tornado then Shizuri will be able to protect herself with Meltdowner or even dodge it, Shizuri physically better and stronger than Mikoto (and even Shiage). What you must take into account is Mikoto needs full focus for bending Meltdowner beams. It's not like it will change to something like she can bend it with her middle finger if she 100%. The proper explanation about this is, if she using iron sand tornado which is the technique that can brought her a win, she will not able to bend Meltdowner beam. But even so, Meltdowner still faster and too strong that Mikoto needs moving around using spider maneuver to distract Shizuri's aim and that's still not enough that she still needs to bend it away. While not doing anything, consecutive Meltdowner beams will be too much for Mikoto. Don't wanking her too much, she is not Gaara and you know it, assuming she can do a full defense while doing full attack is just too much of fanboyism. Her feats limit is quite clear for this fight. |

Mikoto wins this fight at 100%. Fanboyism and powerlevels shouldnt be mixed. .... She was thinking. THINKING. She was never hurt not hit. Its not like she has to go Hyak percent on every single enemy she encounters. ... Dammet. Yes, it is in execution. However, I was talking about Mugino herself. Not her beams, not how fast she uses the beams, but her MOVEMENT. HER FEEEET. She's not as fast as Mikoto in that regard, which makes her rely on barriers even more. Seeing as she didn't move while being attacked by dolls all over the place, and her over confidence on relying on her powers, she likely won't. Also, it's not like she could move fast enough, anyway. She's never shown to have. ... and? So what if her powers affect her sand? Would that do something? Mugino does not have EMP sense, nor can she fully bend Iron Sand, so what is your point? Again, I was pointing out that her barrier had a weakness. However, since her speed and defensive measures excluding her barrier is limited, she has no choice but to employ a barrier. Seeing as she has to stop attacking to put up a barrier, this would force her on the defensive. Again, she can only fire in front of her, while Misaka can launch Iron Sand anywhere she wants. She was, however, angry with Accel. She was raging mad, in fact. She only did that to strengthen her attacks. Seeing as Mikoto can crush the metal floor and use it against Frenda easily while being stressed and tired from attacking laboratories, I don't see how 100% Misaka can't. I doubt that Mugino can dodge Iron Sand or metal beams when she hasn't shown that much speed. Still does not make him any stronger than Misaka, tho. Level 5 against Level 5 varies greatly. For example, while Gunta can deal with Misaka's attacks, Misaki would easily beat Gunta. However, Misaki is screwed against Misaka. Same goes for Mugino vs Misaka. Both of them has some sort of domain over their powers, however Misaka's control is greater, putting Mugino at a large disadvantage against Misaka. Yes, that just means she would be able to dodge Mugino's beams rather easily. I never said she's weaker. In terms of power, in fact, one could say the Mugino is stronger. However, Misaka just wins in every other aspect with her fight. Hell, can you imagine Misaka with Mugino or Accel psychopathness? No, she can't. What she does is she compresses electrons to form a beam. That's it. Misaka has the largest array of variety in her ability second only to Accel. You can't just say because she has powers based on EMP, she can sense it. She's not an electromaster. She never did that, and unless she does, it is not applicable. Yes, but with her way of moving I don't think she'll last long. I don't see her dodging Iron Sand. True. But what I said was that since she cannot sense her attacks, the only thing she needs to do is to blind Mugino of her location and fire a Railgun. Also, I don't see her barrier blocking Railgun. She's not Accelarator. Seeing as she was afraid of bombs interfering with her barrier, Railgun can break through it. Iron sand is basically instant. Watch this thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVEs50wxsMM Iron sand just suddenly came from the ground to cut off that things arm. She can do that against Mugino, as well. She was. When she was using the Iron Sand she was charging it electricity. See it again. Seeing as the "Railgun" is basically combing her two powers, Magnetism and Electricity, at the same time, she has used her powers at the same time, time and time again. Without powers, yeah maybe. But why the flying spaghetti would you disable Misakas powers just to prove Mugino is faster? They both have their powers while fighting. With powers Mugino does not hold a candle to Mikoto's freedom of movement and speed. Yeah, it doesn't. But why are we talking about physical power? Like it will even matter against these two. Unless their opponent is Touma, they don't need- no, they CAN'T get close to each other especially with their powers. I'm not a Mikoto fanboy lol. Mugino's more awesome than her, although I find Mikoto to be the more interesting character. I come, or rather, lurked from the OBD, where they take Fiction Vs. Fiction REALLY Seriously. There is no bias within me on fights, unless the fight involves Kingdom Hearts. Which I am embarassed of. |

It is inferior, how? You just say "its inferior" without providing backup info. I say its not, mainly because it cannot rapid fire, can only target on person at at time, only make 4, cannot use its max capacity, and can only fire in the direction she is facing. Mikoto, on the other hand, can use her electricity to rapid fire, can target all around, make more than 4 lightning, can use her max capacity, and can fire in any direction. Her "serious" output at full power is, infact, 1 Billion volts. I think it can exceed 5 billion or something. I don't see how that is inferior. Mikoto can also use more than just her electricity. Also, why wouldn't her state change if she was on 100%? That won't make any sense. You're depowering her for Mugino to take advantage. Full focus? uhh. no. She bends her beams at less than 10% of her power. Physical feats don't matter. Shizuri cannot meltdown sand properly. I can talk about why and science all day, but you just won't listen. Again, Sand are seperate entities. They don't share the same body. Thus, if Mugino fires at it, she'll only be able to melt a verrryyyy little amount since they won't share heat properly, which where the meltdowner's power revolves around. Heat. She can bend her beams while using it. Again, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVEs50wxsMM See how she uses that Iron sand effortlessly? She's not moving her hands, nor is she even that focused. She's able to bend her beams while doing so. Even if she can't, which she DEFINITELY could, she's still able to dodge and use spiderman magnetism to dodge her beams while using Iron sand. She did stick on walls while moving the dolls, which is essentially the same power that she uses on the Iron Sand. Seriously people. Stop overestimating Mugino because she's awesome. I know she is, but she's not that strong. Don't wank Mugino too much. She can't rapid fire to put a full powered Misaka for the defensive. She can't even properly hit a weakened Misaka, let alone a full powered one. Lol people. Saying I'm a "fanboy" just because I think Misaka will win. That only means that we have seen more feats for Misaka, and how is that "giving too much credit"? It's stating facts. Know the difference. Do you even know what comparing means? I mean that her power is not as strong as Accel's. This is ridiculous. You keep using "Appeal to Motive", Association Fallacy, Argument from belief, and more ridiculous fallacies to back up your arguments. While I could bring up calcs such as these: From the ratio we have width (diameter) of Mikoto's giant bolt at 469 m. The current density is given by the limit of the conducting area which is constant here. From the current channel width we have positive lightning current density of approx. 955e+6 A/m^2. For a cylindrical current channel, the cross sectional shape is a circle: Now, the cross-sectional area of the giant bolt is about 173e+3 m^2. Using the real world current density, that gives a current of 165e+12 A. Using the electrical work relationship, Which gives a power of 165e+21 W. Taking the low end of 51 microseconds for flash current time of lightning, we have an energy figure of 8.42e+18 J. TNT equivalent is 4.184e+15 J/megaton. Therefore, in Michael Bay units: 2 gigatons of TNT, which amounts to small island level. You still wont be able to believe me. |

Sigh.... Before she could think a single thought, the 200 kg bomb that she herself had struck with intense heat split open and created a large explosion that enveloped the other bombs, the missiles, and the airplane fuel. Hamazura was hiding at a distance, but he did not escape unharmed. He had found an electric tractor-like vehicle used for moving the fighters and had been silently travelling at high speed away. He had hidden behind cover about 500 meters from the explosion. His cover was a small truck filled with paint tools used to change the color of the fighters. He had used a maintenance radio to send out his voice and was subsequently sent rolling along the ground as the blast struck him. “Gwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!” He felt like his eardrums were about to burst. An odd pressure came from within that felt like it was going to pop out his eyeballs. But he was more worried about where Takitsubo was. He had at least left the dummy radio in a place away from where he had dropped her and he had handed her the powered suit with the crane. Quick actions were too much for the suit’s normal mode and its high mobility mode could only be activated with a special electronic key, so the suit couldn’t be used to fight, but it should have helped her endure the explosive blast. Even so, he hoped that she had been outside the range of the explosion. In any case, Mugino Shizuri should have been caught up in the blast. Fortunately for Hamazura, she still looked down on all of her enemies. In this case, that wasn’t an inaccurate way of viewing her enemy, but it had created unnecessary openings in her defenses and had caused her to let her guard down a bit. (That 200 kg bomb was created to destroy thick concrete bunkers. That isn’t something to be used on a flesh-and-blood human. I’m sure that was enough even for Mugino. I need to find Takitsubo and get the hell out of here.) Hamazura tossed aside the radio and the small monitor for the fiberscope and ran back the way he had come. A hot wind blew about. The floor had collapsed in the area of the explosion and the destruction had even reached the underground space below. The connecting passageways above had been twisted and knocked down. Hamazura ran amongst it all and searched through that area where a secondary or tertiary explosion could occur at any time all the while calling Taktisubo’s name. Then he heard something moving. “Takitsubo?” Hamazura turned around. But… “Haaamazuraaa.” . . . . Hamazura desperately tried to suppress the intense pain eating into his ear, gripped his handgun with both hands, and fired. But Mugino suddenly disappeared. She had fired Meltdowner like a rocket engine. She must have escaped the 200 kg bomb the same way. With the sound of a blunt weapon being swung, Mugino moved outside of his vision. “Do you really think that kind of obvious counterattack will work on me!?” You use filler and, intentionally or not, misinterpret canon scenes. She wasnt using Iron Sand when she used Railgun.Iron Sand was before it. So? She applies it to Iron Sand NOT a DIFFERENT attack. And Frenda has the time to do her thing.I cant possibly imagine Mugino firing at Misaka....Sarcasm in case you didnt notice. THOSE are the facts. Her power is different from Accel's.She doesnt redirect anything, she MELTS anything upon contact, that includes the already melted Railgun coin. Fallacies...yeah ok... |

FakePriest said: Sigh.... But… “Haaamazuraaa.” . . . . Her power is different from Accel's.She doesnt redirect anything, she MELTS anything upon contact, that includes the already melted Railgun coin. Fallacies...yeah ok... And I came here thinking you'd be smarter than this XD. Time to OBD it up. Mikoto's lightning blasts can reach the level of 4.184e+15 J/megaton, which FARsurpasses a 200kg bomb. 4.184e+15 J/megaton is Island level in Destructive Capacity, and is FAR stronger than a 200 kg bomb or anything of the sort. It's FAR stronger than anything Mugino has ever done. Lightning travels at 224,000 miles per hour, which is VASTLY faster than a bomb. 30,000K is the heat emitted by lightning which is REALLY HOTTER than a bomb. Provide sources stronger, faster, or hotter than what Misaka can do, please. Its laughable, really. So even if I provide manga scans, you still say "I use Filler", and then say "I misinterpret scenes". Wow. Your ability to argument indeed far surpasses mine. /sarcasm. Yet she has the ability to use them in rapid succession. My main point was also how easily she uses Iron Sand. So she could easily do this against Mugino at her full power. Manga scan 1 and Manga Scan 3. Put their logic together, if you can. Seeing how EASILY she is able to use Iron Sand, and seeing as she is able to use electricity while using Iron Sand, she is able to attack with electricity while using Iron Sand. It does not need to even be a railgun, seeing as her lightning is Island level. My point was that Misaka can use magnetism with large objects with relative ease. Which you keep saying "no she can't" before. I can't possibly Imagine Misaka dodging and bending her attacks... Sarcasm if you didn't notice. How the hell is your 2nd and 4th reply on the manga scans a fact? Those were mere assumptions you pulled on your head. *FACEPALM* That was comparing, COMPARING. What I said didn't have anything to do about how similar their powers were. I merely COMPARED that ACCEL isnt as strong as MUGINO. Ignoring fallacies that you did? Let me enumerate: Appeal to Motive: You keep saying that "I'm a Mikoto fanboy", and then disregard anything I say as "wanking" while I always used things shown. Association Fallacy: "Mikoto and Mugino both have powers based on EMP. Mikoto uses EMP sense, therefore Mugino has EMP sense as well" or as you say. That is utterly wrong. Argument from Belief: "Mugino can dodge her attacks, she's fast" - Never shown to be fast, especially against Misaka. "Mugino can fire at Misaka and she'll get hit" - Implying that Misaka can't move nor bend her attacks, which is just very wrong. No-Limits fallacy - "Mugino's barriers and lasers have stopped many things before, therefore she can stop Misaka's Iron Sand and Lightning as well" No, she can't. Unless you want me to bring how far faster Mikoto is using calcs and powerscaling, you should just give up. |

Is your reading comprehension low or something? I am talking about speed.About how fast MUGINO herself can be, in her MOVEMENTS.What you say has NOTHING to do with that. Before you were saying that Mugino cant move fast.Do you get it know? Obviously when I say filler I mean anime original scenes you talked about in other posts. She used the electricity ON the Iron Sand.Do you understand what I have been saying till now? That is VERY different than using a DIFFERENT attack.ANd yes she used Iron Sand easily...while being on the ground, not inside a closed laboratory. In all your posts you assume that Mugino cant do anything everytime Misaka attacks.Be it because of speed or power applications. Can MIsaka keep up the calculations for Iron Sand while bending AND moving like a spider? We know that Level 5's dont have hax calculation abilities, example Accelerator, who is miles above her in calcs, saving Last Order. 2nd reply isnt even a counter argument.Let me make it more clear. So what if she bend a beam while at 10%?Did I ever say that she cant at 100%? 4th reply..Really dont you see Frenda reacting in time to stop Misaka? That comparison is random and unnecessary since it proves nothing. What you said:"Also, I don't see her barrier blocking Railgun. She's not Accelarator. Seeing as she was afraid of bombs interfering with her barrier, Railgun can break through it." Railgun isnt a bomb, and Meltdown doesnt block, it melts stuff and it does it right upon contact no matter the mass or speed of the object.SO yeah bringing up Accelerator is stupid since his redirection has nothing to do with Meltdowner. EM no you twist things that are shown be it in Anime or manga. For example, saying that Misaka can use Iron Sand and other attacks just because she made an electric attack by using the Iron sand.It doesnt prove that Misaka can do other attacks. Less of an Association Fallacy when compared to the "Iron Sand and other attacks" of yours. She escaped the surrounding blast of a 200kg bomb unharmed when Shiage clearly felt like shit because of the explosion while being under cover 500m away. I never said that Misaka cant bent them or move.BUT we never saw her bend and attacking at the same time. Wow...dude.I never said anything about stopping Iron Sand or a Lighting. That just your bs when you cant understand what others say. Mugino's beam can PASS THROUGH Iron Sand so the Iron Sand defence is useless against her attacks. And her barrier can melt anything like Railgun's coin.Unless if you think that Railgun is a lighting attack. "Unless you want me to bring how far faster Mikoto is using calcs and powerscaling, you should just give up" Your calculations were about something I never talked about. |

"Unless you want me to bring how far faster Mikoto is using calcs and powerscaling, you should just give up" Your calculations were about something I never talked about. Improve your grammar if you want to talk about reading comprehension. Again, when was Mugino fast with movement? Reaction, sure. But movement? When? Every single argument you make just falls if you can't prove that. We talked about anime filler scenes. Were they relevant to our argument? No, they weren't. They were a completely separate discussion which just came. Same with our discussion about Gunha. Yes, she did. Which just means that she can use Electricity while using iron sand, which you always say she can't. She can easily lift the ground to reach the floor, which then she can use Iron Sand. Controlling dolls and Iron Sand is basically the same thing. She can. This merely means that she can deal with her attacks. I really want to use more calcs and powerscaling, but that would just be overkill for you. Seeing as I have nothing to do, I want to drag this a bit longer. She can react, but she can't move fast enough. Railgun somewhat acts like a bomb. My comparison was merely emphasis. You made it bigger than it should have. That isn't twisting. She' shown to do that. Against Brunhild, she does that, as well. Although I know you won't accept that reason, for which the reply I am waiting. ...What? No, you said that since they have both EMP based powers, and Mikoto can use EMP sense, Mugino must have one as well. What does that have anything to do with Iron Sand? You're tempting me XD. You don't want me to bring up how fast Misaka is with movement using calcs. Do you want to? A bomb fails in comparison with that. It has something to do with her fight against Brunhild, as a hint. Implying that she can't. She can do so with relative ease. Even if she cannot, she can dodge it. I can say "Mugino can't bend her beams while attacking at the same time" as well. Yes, her beams can. Can she hit her though? No, she can't. "Her barrier can melt anything like railgun's coin" No limits fallacy. She may be able to melt the coin, but she won't be able to block the force. Yes, you don't talk about it. If you understand what any of it meant, you would have already known that Mugino would lose against Mikoto. |

Misaka gets raped by #1 and #2, gets raped by a lot of saints, every angel, and some magic users. Mikoto won't lose this one, however. Seeing as you just gave up, it'd be pointless. I don't know what Saber did, but if there's any Overestimated Index character, it would be Accel. While he could pwn most of the cast, but I've seen people put him in fights against GURREN LAGANN. I want to constantly think. Yes, this was fun, indeed. XD Anyway, if you're curious as to what I was talking about Misaka's speed before, well. Brunhild is confirmed to be Mach 20 and possibly even faster. Misaka fought and kept up with Brunhild. By means of powerscaling, Mikoto is also Mach 20. If you don't know what powerscaling is, well, I'm going to give you argument tips: "Bicycle and a car go on a race on a straight road. Car goes 120Mph constantly Car and bicycle both finish with a draw. " It was never said how fast the bicycle was, but the car's speed was said. They both finished in a draw. The conclusion would be that Bicycle goes 120 Mph as well. Sayonara desu ne. |

Yeah thats why Misaka was in time to save the clone, support Touma and a dozen of other situations.sarc And no Misaka wasnt keeping up with Brunhild.1)She instantly reacted to her footprints just like she did to Mugino's last attacks. That doesnt give her MACH speed just like Touma doesnt have lighting speed when he negates Misaka's attacks.2)Brunhild was holding back. Oh and the fight shows clearly that she uses her powers in succession, not at the same time. >powerscaling And you where saying something about fallacies... |

Its plot induced stupidity. For example, when in a fight, they explain their powers in the middle of a fight while the other just listens to it. That is plot induced stupidity. Mikoto's reactions and speed would still have to be mach speed to keep up with a Mach 20 being. She was. She's using Iron Sand to weighten her sword while using electricity. Powerscaling isn't a fallacy. You have either the wrong assumptions of fallacies or is just pathetically trying to ignore arguments. belatkuro said: >applying real life physics in Raildex >implying a real railgun is only 3 times as fast as speed of sound >implying Touma would still be alive after facing Innocentius who is said to be 3000 deg. You don't listen well. I never said anything about real life railguns. > What does Touma have anything to do with this? You can bring up numbers in fiction. It is a logical solution, unless you want DBZ to be the strongest anime or anything. Either Kami Tenchi or Demonbane will take that spot. For example: http://www.narutoforums.com/blog.php?b=18956 This has nothing to do with Railgun, but its an example. |

Please. Raildex science of espers is hardly science at all. Kamachi's science isn't well polished yet when he started this series and is still rough in the edges even to this day. If you want a science story from him, go read Heavy Object. His science geekery is overflowing there. The only thing you can say that's acceptable science in this are the AC mechs and those are still pushing it. And what I mean is that the real life numbers don't exactly match up at all with anything in Raildex. Real railguns aren't just 3 times as fast as speed of sound. Anything should and would melt with Innocentius' temperature. So arguing using numbers and real physics in anything in Raildex is useless. I'm out of this. I'll let my friend FakePriest handle the rest. He's better than this than me. And your argument is just laughable from what I read so it'll be a waste of time. |

Well, that was fast. Also, why would Brunhild hold back? She wasn't holding back. SHE. NEEDS. TO. HAVE. For example, you see a bullet. You know the bullet is coming after you, but can you dodge it? Can you react to it? No you can't. You at least need to be close with the speed of a bullet. There is no reason for people to explain their attacks in the middle of a fight as well. Fine, fine. Even though she's shown to do it, you just can't accept. What does it matter then? Mikoto blinds Mugino, stops using Iron Sand, while Iron Sand is still falling, uses lightning attack. belatkuro said: Please. Raildex science of espers is hardly science at all. What does real railguns have ANYTHING to do with this? Misaka's railgun was Mach 3, not real Railguns. It was said in the series, not me. Do you even pay attention to what they say? So what if Innocentius would melt everything? Large monsters in anime and games should collapse in on itself, but they don't. We calculate feats and and the like. Unless you can go inside an anime and know how the world works inside and out, that is the most reliable source of information for feats. That's why we also calculate things like durability, not only power, speed, and destructive capability. Sure, maybe you can bust a building, but if your enemy can tank city busting attacks, then it wouldn't matter. Your arguments are really more laughable. You deem numbers "illogical" while not really providing a replacement to the "illogical" numbers, and only merely saying "Innocentius melts everything" which has hardly to do with anything. |

Why?Because she is a Saint. She could just beat her up without her claymore and end it but she was sparring with her.The claymore was putting her in a "disadvantage" yet she didnt throw it away. And of course none of Mikoto's attacks were effective. She even stopped when Birdway was "defeated" when that event really didnt affect her battle(Or Silvia's). Saints are beasts. If she wanted she could easily beat Misaka.Even when fighting Othinus So Touma has Mach speed? You didnt answer that. If Mikoto could go at Mach speed then she would damage her body, you blind fanboy.Do you know what G force is? Lets do "science". Mach speed=343m/s.Mach 20=6805.8 m/s Imagine Misaka instantly accelerating to those speeds or using them for a period.I am not going to say death but injuries are a fact since her body is 100% human, has no equipment, or powers to protect her like other certain espers or magicians. Now MAch 1 speed would cause just temporary vision problems, which would affect her fights but Mach 20...Oh boy... Now about Innocentius. So you disregard his powers but you try to be realistic with Misaka.Yeah let me go back to my "Appeal to Motive". |

Now about Innocentius. So you disregard his powers but you try to be realistic with Misaka.Yeah let me go back to my "Appeal to Motive". ... What? So what if shes a saint? Saints there isn't exactly holy, and in fact, its clear that she was trying to kill Mikoto on her first strike. Brunhild Eiktobel charged up to a point right in front of Mikoto and vigorously swung up the claymore hanging down from one hand. She also twisted her wrist to lay the giant sword down flat as she swung it. Normally, this may have been an attempt to not hit one’s opponent with the blade of the sword. However, the situation here was different. Brunhild Eiktobel could move at supersonic speeds and the claymore she held was like a giant sword made by attaching a grip to a metal sheet. By laying the blade flat, she could use it like a giant fan made of steel. An overwhelmingly violent fan that used the massive shockwave created when an object moved at supersonic speeds. That would end it. Not only would it crush the girl’s fat and muscles from the outside, but her eardrums, lungs, and trachea would rupture from within. However… “Damn you!!” “!?” She reacted just before it hit. Why would she throw it away leaving her weaponless? She stopped because there isn't any real reason to fight anymore. Mikoto was fighting her just fine, while I doubt Mikoto could win, she was on-par with her. Yes, he has. Lol "fanboy". Mugino's mach speed as well, not just as fast Mikoto. Mugino is somewhere within Mach 2 or 3, Mikoto is mach 15-20. Anime normal people aren't exactly normal people. If they were normal people. Kuroko would have died with Misaka's elec shocks, or Touma would have died when fighting Accel. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Again, that's why we count things such as durability. It's not all about power or speed. Gundam Pilots are faster than Misaka, yet they seem to do just fine. Because in temperature, Anime is alot more unstable. Amaterasu, for example, is supposed to "as hot as the sun" but its not frying everything, now is it? We cannot calculate things such as temperature so easily, since well, we cant see it. We can't exactly feel it either. Yeah sure, "Mugino Fanboy". |

Holy...what does that have to do?Did I ever mention that? For Saints that is a basic attack. Because using her claymore was putting her into a disadvantage.A Punch would be enough on a regular body. Misaka explains why she managed to block her and SPEED is not the reason. There was no reason to fight Misaka to begin with since Birdway herself was never intending to beat Touma anyway. And Misaka hesitates to attack when Brunhild froze in place when a moment ago she was fighting with Brunhild who was barely affected by her powers. None of them has mach speed.Dont try to make Misaka capable of Mach speed by giving Mugino the same feat. Misaka can make sure that her electricity isnt lethal. We know, it has being explained. It's called low amperage. Touma received grave injuries but not lethal ones. Dont bring different anime into this. And they have equipment protecting them unlike Misaka. So you disregard any "realism" not related with overpowering Misaka. |
