My usual sites that I've used or know are Amazon, Ebay, OtakuMode, and AliExpress. Recently, I have found this site Animeba.com that sells things for really cheap prices. But I'm not completely sure if I should buy what I want because it doesn't seem like a really popular or official site. Has anyone ever used Animeba.com?

Amiami and Hobby Link Japan are the best places for non-exclusive items.

Animeba will probably give you nice products, but they will be Chinese copies, not the actual Japanese versions. You can tell by the too-good prices, and the fact that the site clearly states that it works with Chinese manufacturers.

Yeah don't put money in the coffers of counterfeiters, it kills the anime industry.

Fuck Rightstuf. I ordered 10 volumes of berserk shortly before Christmas, and it took them around 5-6 months to get them to me.

Amiami, Hobbysearch, HLJ, Biginjapan.

Amiami and HLJ are probably the cheapest ones overall, HLJ has some great sales every now and then and a really nice private warehouse system. HLJ has been having some real issues with their stock lately, it seems like they're never properly stocked up on Gundam kits.
Biginjapan tend to have very low stocks outside of preorders and often aren't as cheap, but you can ask them to lower the declared value, so it's perfect to evade toll.
Hobbysearch is right in the middle mostly, but have a very wide selection and some kind of bonus point system that can save you a handful of yen.

Really!? I've always been concerned about their shipping so you have made it clear not to shop there lol

So, even after 4 years, there are still no reviews about animeba.com. i just ordered from them for my small business, at the cost of $140. Then i get an email saying shipping would be that plus some...well anything for the business i guess. We will see how long it takes to ship.

I agree with AmiAmi; it's a fantastic (and trusted) place to get goods. Also Mandarake.

Curious if anyone has used Goods Republic? Can't find any reviews on them either. They have an enormous selection. Though some of it feels really overpriced, I've found a few items that were better deals than other retailers. Besides that, there are a lot of items that just aren't available on the more mainstream sources. I haven't ordered from them yet, though, but is there anyone here who has?
