Only anime I can think of is death note where the main character is evil. I think this is sad, I think they should make more anime where the mc is evil, kills with no remorce and is bent on conquering the world.

I think the concept is really interesting, what made them like that, their motivations, the underlings they recruit to help them in world domination, the goodie goods(or other evil people trying to do the same) that are trying to stop them and what he/she is going to do with the world when they finally conquer it.

What do you think? Even in manga they're rare, usually they're just murdering, raping psychos with no ambition at all.

Well, when there are higher goals in play it's not pure evil anymore, just different shades of grey. It's not like Kira is pure evil in the first place. He definitely fights for justice, in his own warped way. So what are you actually looking for? Morally ambiguous and ambitious MCs? There's plenty of them, starting with good ol' Lelouch or the F/Z guy as well as shows like Souten Kouro or the newest hype train Akame ga Kill. You won't get more than end-justify-the-means morality though. Maybe try Violence Jack, but the mix of pure evil and brains you're requesting is not gonna be possible if you ask me.
I probably regret this post by now.

I just want more stories where the MC wants to dominate/take over/control the world, the evil part is a plus.

Aren't you mistaking him with Oberstein? Reinhard wasn't THAT unscrupulous.

Well, as I said, there Code Geass and Souten Kouro. LOGH has also been mentioned. Something like Kingdom could work, or even Sengoku Basara.
I probably regret this post by now.

I guess it would make an anime more interesting since the MC in most anime is a good guy/girl. As long as they could think of a good storyline with it.

Anti-heroes are indeed the best.

You should also watch Black Lagoon and Jormungand.

I agree with the idea of having more evil MCs, but what I agree the most is with intelligent and interesting MCs. And that evilness can make the MCs much more interesting.
Light and Lelouch, for example, were both like this, intelligent, interesting and, at least in part of the show, evil.
This type of character is one of the hardest to create, though.

If you are into seasonal anime, you can check out Zankyou no Terror. It is airing right now and the first episode was pretty promising in the anti-hero category. I don't think they are wanting to take over the world though. They seem to be more of the watch the world burn types.

He's not necessarily evil, it's just his way of doing things which is evil. Anyways, +1 for the shout out, he's one of my favorite characters.

On topic: MOAR EVIL iz alwayz bettah!

Some with a flattering word,

I wouldn't consider Light and Kiritsugu to be villainous protagonists, they seem more like anti heroes to me. I don't think I've ever seen an anime where the central figure is an evil guy with no redeeming values.

This brings up the debate of what is evil and what is misguided goodwill.

The two anime I think of are Death Note and Code Geass; both MCs gain special powers and proceed to attempt world domination, and that alone would make them evil. But in Death Note Light/Kira is doing it to rid the world of all criminals, and in Code Geass LeLouch/Zero does it so the world can move forward.

Both of them are doing some seriously evil stuff for some not-so-evil reasons.

That aside, I voted for MOAR EVIL! We definitely need to see more crazy people!

Want an example of a psychopath that is good?
Batman.
A state of mind isnt a trait-only of "evil" characters.

Anti Hero...Sure.He started wanting to kill all criminals and then changed to conquering the world and killing those that stand against him, because of pride.
He could have stayed home and keep killing criminals and NOBODY would had ever found out but no, he had to make L pay for his "humiliation" and forgot his first goal.
L is more anti hero than Light was.

I dont want to go deep in why Batman is a psychopath but he fits 90% of discriptions of one. noun
a person with a psychopathic personality, which manifests as amoral and antisocial behavior, lack of ability to love or establish meaningful personal relationships, extreme egocentricity.
Those bolded words are the most evident ones.

no, he is very social, he has quite a few close friends, even as a billionaire. (even though one turns into Two-Face). he socializes at parties on many occasions.

he has shown he does have to ability to love, besides his love interest (black Cat), there was an episode where he fell in-love with the girl who... wasn't what she seemed to be.

i also don't think egocentricity applies either, he doesn't view everything black and white.

Light is a villain. He is not anti-hero unless you are talking about the beginning of his journey and not the end. He is an anti-hero turned villain. When all is said and done, he is holding a v card :P
