| The first episode for these action/mystery shows typically try to throw the plot at you hoping that something sticks. I'm going to have to wait for the story to come in before I decide how to fell about this one. |

| This was really cool. The art and animation were pretty good and I LOVE the OST already! But damn all that blood O.o Noooooo she made him eat human flesh... Bad Toka :| Well I was surprised by this so I guess 5/5 for this episode. |

I predict a hell of a lot in this series, and I'm not the only one, I don't know about the raws since I don't read stuff I can't understand. I'm not saying everything is predictable but a huge chunk is, It still didn't dampen my enjoyment of this series, btw not because you didn't find it predictable, mean everyone else will also. Stop being butt hurt and enjoy the series, this wont be the first nor last you will hear people saying it's predictable. |

| I can't believe they skipped the best part of the manga where he first wakens up on the hospital bed!!! disappointed at that, oh well. Overall really great episode, pacing was quick but it felt okay for the most part. |

| If it continues to go by that pace, if it's one cour it will end around chapter 60 or 65, I still hope that this series is 24 episodes. The raw is up to chapter 132, so it's still possible we will be getting 2 cour. |

| Damn, now that's one gruesome start to the opening of this series lol. It's only the start, but I can tell that I'm going to like this series. Ohooo, our main male character is thinking of already going on a date? He's faster than most clumsy male MCs lol. The art is pretty nice looking. For some reason I think I like Toka more than the other girl who's probably that ghoul girl... Dat cleavage... looks pretty weird... Poor Kaneki... I knew that girl was a ghoul and that she'd eat him... LOL, talk about being lucky, now someone can save Kaneki from dying if he's still alive! Aha, they're going to transplant Rize's organs into him... I guess we all know what's going to happen to him after this lol... Kaneki... you're screwed... you're effin screwed! Kaneki... just eat Hide and all will be well... XD I haven't read the manga, but I'm loving the episode and what it's about! Poor Kaneki got his mouth stuffed with delicious food by Touka lol. |

| A good start. Looking foward to next episode. So far, it was best first episode that I watched in this season and while I compare it to other three there is no competition. Although I didn't like MC that much, or simply I don't like this kind of MC. I hope he gets better. I still don't know in what direction the show will go after just first episode, hopefully it will not be dissapointing. (There are no hints of it being dissapointing though.) |

| I see people saying that this will be just 12/13 episodes, but until I get an official announcement I refuse to believe that. I'm actually surprised so many manga readers hated episode 1. I am also a manga reader but I thought the anime adapted the manga pretty good. Of course there were a few things that I didn't like (like them leaving out the references to the Metamorphoses or Kaneki saying his life would be a tragedy if he was the main character) but the small things they did take away isn't going to hurt the story really anyways. Of course my opinion might change with the next episodes but for right now I am going to say that ep.1 was really good when comparing it to the manga. |
| great first episode. in terms of production value almost too good hope they can keep the animation like this and it does not turn into juggling the budget around where the majority looks meh with some incredibly well animated fights from time to time promising start definitely gonna continue watching censorship obviously sucked |
