If you could pick 3 countries to spend lots of time in, which ones would they be? In order from the absolute best first, a list of 3 countries that really impress you and you wish you could be there all the time, plus the reasons why they are so great.

My 3 in order starting from best:

Number one:
Philippines
Everyone is always super happy, friendly and more hospitable than anywhere I can think of. They celebrate Christmas really long and they speak English so you can engage with the locals without language barrier.

The constantly smiling and spirited people everywhere in the Phils.

Number two:
Peru
People are very much like the Philippines in the same good ways. The culture and sights are really enjoyable to experience. It is an exotic environment to live in. It is hard to get bored here, even after a long time, unlike many other countries in the region. Weather is also very pleasant. It is safe and stable and life is very economical.

Number three:
Thailand
Life is about more fun and a bit less seriousness. Also very happy place and always seeking an excuse to party! Nature is easy to get immersed in here.

Runner ups:

Taiwan - food/ scenery/ girls (population is like 9-1 girls. lol)
Haiwaii - a place i havent been to but would like to go to. Currency exchange isnt favourable right now. lol

Not Afghanistan
Not Texas
Maybe Florida, however that airmass blows; PFJ doesn't dig deep enough during the summer and the semi-permament Bermuda high just sits there and pumps moisture in ughh

just thinking about going from 100F / 10% humidity -> 100F 70% humidity is making me squirm~

For some reason I can't stop wondering how much a retired meteorologist would watch the weather channel. A disturbing thought.

@idungoof Well, nowhere near retired - but generally the weather channel has some good comedy; it's enjoyable to make fun of the broadcast meterologists if it's on~ it's sorta like a joke I guess O.o

that and how they try to name winter storms / random other big storms and whatever else they try to do to bolster ratings :p

I know you're nowhere near retired, that's why the image I had disturbed me so given that your entire previous post consisted of weatherbabble, combined with how much old people like to watch the weather channel whether they're a meteorologist or not.

I thought the only way being experimented to lift the ratings for the general public under the age of 70 for weather was big boobs and low cut tops. I mean really, we have the internet and everything...

I dunno never been anywhere else than England.

I have always wanted to visit some places though, not sure if they are any good.

Always wanted to visit Germany, probably a good place to get a job.
Ive kinda wanted to visit China no not for its hospitality (lol) or any real good reasons just because my dad was born there so would be nice to see I suppose not a place id want to stop though.
I'd also like to see some parts of America for two reasons, food and the open road.

Well is the question three countries that I want to visit, or three countries that I'd enjoy spending time in? Assuming it's the first, then it's America, Germany, and then the Czech Republic.

The Czech republic I chose because it's hilariously full of sin and beat-nik ex-commies, and my taxi driver buddy named "Vladislav". I mean come on, Vladislav. I told the guy to take me to a club. He asked what kind, and we said "One with women" sarcastically. This was all in Russian, he didn't speak English. Well he dropped us off at a club alright. We go in and it turned out to be a strip club. We were like "oh, shit. ugh." But were mistaken for the worse when they started to line up. Then my friend just stood up and asked the bouncer, "Hey man, is this a brothel?". Yeah, it was. Anyways we were all drunk as hell but paid our tab and left. It was pretty hilarious though.

Assuming it's countries that I want to visit though, here:

America
-I was born there, and after living in Germany for two years, I really miss it. I miss the culture, and the people there. I miss going to punk shows, I miss having 'rights', I miss the people. I guess I'm just homesick.

Philippines
-Mabuhay ang pilipinas! Pinoy ako! Well, half anyways. I've got a lot of family there, and have always wanted to go.

Chile
-They have the darkest skies in the world down there. I want to go hiking through the mountains with a tent and a telescope, and see all the things I can that I had read about on wikipedia. Y yo hablo poquito de espanol, entonces yo creo que puedo hablar con la gente.

I like to spend time in Morocco the most. Great atmosphere, beautiful landscape, nice people and delicious food. I am from Morocco and haven't been to much places except most western Europe countries but those are much alike..

I'd love to visit Canada once especially Montreal & Vancouver or a big city like Los Angeles, Tokyo or Shanghai.

Not sure, haven't been to many countries yet (only within Europe)

I guess Spain was nice, but the people there were unfriendly in general.

I'm wanting to visit the USA once, but I'm not sure what to expect at all.

And as a third, I guess Australia. I've heard good stories about Australia, lets keep it at that ;p

Not sure what you mean by "you wish you could be there to spend all the time", I take it you mean live there. If so:

Philippines - what has already been said, great people, English widely spoken, colorful life, cheap.
UAE - job opportunities, massive tax advantages, pretty familiar with the culture.
Morocco - it's my country and though I don't like my city, other regions are pretty nice to live in because

Thread Cleaned of listing posts.

Don't simply list countries you like spending time in, but also explain why. Be a little more descriptive for the sake of discussion.

Italy
- Because of Italian food. Ok. But when I was younger I've been seeing a lot or photos from Italy and the place/s are just so beautiful. I want to be there with someone I love.

Japan
- Need I say more? Went there once. Will go there again. The only place I've been is Nagoya. I'd want to go to Tokyo and Roppongi if I have the chance.

Canada / United Kingdom
- Sorry I just can't T ~ T Either one of these two. I'd want to live here and raise a family~

Aside from the US, where I live now, it would be

1. China (family is there)
2. Japan (a good mix of urban and relaxing rural areas)
3. England (decent place to live, can communicate with people there)

These three since I'll be able to speak to languages.

1. Japan - Tokyo, Koyto, and basically all the touristy places (temples, ect), maybe try to go when the cherry blossoms are happening.
2. Germany - I'm currently learning German so I might as well use it. Haven't researched locations yet, still have another 3 years minimum until I can visit anyways.
3. England - For different cultural experience while still being able to talk my native tongue.
