naked mikoto and kuroko at the end was a nice touch. fukou da being the last words of the series was very nice. good to see the beginning of the next season will involve stiyl and uneven jeans-tan. rounded this up to a 6 because of mikoto, last order, and accelerator. the characters are excellent but the actual events never seem to get tied up properly. overall, a mostly enjoyable watch. |

yunadestined said: Based on the light novels, there's just not enough material for a second season yet. With that said, I'm just looking forward to more Biribiri lol. You kidding me? There's like 17 novels. They adapted six. There's almost enough for another two seasons. (Not that I've read them). At any rate, second half was far weaker than the first half. So-So ending, to an alright show that didn't really innovate, but didn't do anything really wrong with the exception of inundating me with a ton of jargon. 6/10(from 5/10) because of Mikoto. |

damn that foggy shower censor. =P i was a little surprised they let kazakiri disappear, the goodbye was actually quite touching. otherwise, i thought this episode was a microcosm of the season. good comedy, nicely done action, and way too much self-righteous, nonsensical dialogue bringing down all the good parts. 24 episodes through, a probable 2nd season pending, and I still couldn't tell you what the story is actually about. i am looking forward to the biribiri spinoff though! |

After finishing the first season I'm still under the impression that Touma is God's right hand so to speak. The reason for this is because in the bible the term "God's right hand" in prophecy refers to the Messiah to whom is given the power and authority to subdue His enemies (Psalm 110:1; Psalm 118:16) (source http://www.gotquestions.org/right-hand-God.html). I mean we have seen and heard about Angels so I wouldn't be surprised at all if Touma's power really was a gift from the gods to keep magic and ESPers in line. |

It was a great episode but not a really a great ending. It felt as if it was just another episode. It didn't really tie up anything at all. If I didn't check online I would think there would another episode next week... I don't know what you guys are talking about but I liked the new girl... Haha, there has to be a second season... I mean just look at the second half of the episode? It was just basically saying "The filler-like arcs are over the main story will begin" but noo... it was the end. Well, I relatively new to cliff hanger endings. Once again, great episode but... it didn't have the closure necessary to be considered a good ending. Didn't tie up anything at all, all it did was bring up more questions and make us ask "What's going to happen next"? There has to be a season 2, I mean come on... This would have made a good episode 18 where 19-24 would continue where 18 left off... actually thinking about it this would be a great episode 24 if 25-48 were based on it. There was enough cliffhangers to make a second season... I mean really... with it's own new plot and everything. Season 2! |

I'm glad I waited till this series ended so I could watch it in one stretch since I did enjoy this series a lot but I got to agree with several posters, there's nothing as annoying as a final episode where you even can't tell if it's the last episode. And I was also hoping they would do a whole lot more with the part where he lost all his memories. Hoping at a 2nd season since this series still left so much unanswered and hopefully it has some more Touma Index moments since the second half of the season Index felt more like a supporting character then a main character. |

The episode definitely didn't feel like an ending, or even a season ending. All I have to say is season 2, here we come. Assuming JC Staff will animate Shana 3 for Fall 2009, and then Biribiri's spin off, we'll probably have to wait until Fall 2010 for Index 2. (No I definitely don't want them to sacrifice Shana for this) The series wasn't bad, I watched it light hearted and I actually enjoyed it quite a lot, especially the first half. The ride was fun, like a roller coster with ups and downs, and I had some great laughs. Giving it a 6/10. |

The start was the start worthy of only the greatest of anime. But the rest was not so very good... this episode was no real ending, Angel Fall was one of the crapiest anime arcs ever. But the side chars pown and the story is pretty good. I like the idea of combining magic with esper powers and all. This was a decent ep but deffinetly unworthy as an ending. |

While the show had a lot of bad sides, it managed to become one of my favourite shows with its colorful cast of characters, setting and potential. 9/10 from me. Judging by the novel summaries and spoilers, 2nd season is where things start to get interesting (can't wait for the war arcs) Looking forward to To Aru Kagaku no Railgun anime as well. The manga was great and I have great expectations for this one. Hopefuly the author of Index and Railgun will cooporate with J.C. Staff so the anime will go beyond its manga counterpart. Just three arcs ceartanly won't satisfy me. |

I started watching this show with some expectations and got my hopes high... Turned out to be absolutely unsatisfying and fulfilled none of my expectations. As said somewhere above, the show is very inconsistant and barely decent and Im getting this feeling, that the makers stuffed way too much of the novels progress into the first season, thus ending up having an overload of content which resulted in showing said content in a rather poor manner. A weak 6/10 for the sake of Misaka. |

Not enough Misaka. Overall the show was a disappointment, I thought it'll be epic after I was impressed by the animation quality of the first few episodes. Then it quickly dropped down to a meaningless ramble of long speeches and "wtf are you doing" moments. Show should of been called "To Aru Speechu no Touma" |

This show really could've been better in many ways. It started on a decent track with some straight objectives and we understood what was going on. Then, Index became a comic relief character and the entire show went on a mumbo jumbo rollercoaster of confusion and unnecessary plot fillers. Here they have a cast of some good characters like Misaka and a few more I can't remember the names of, but none were used at their full potentials. When there was a chance, it was wasted and then came along new characters to fill in some more strange occurrences to throw us off and then cliche monologues and information we probably don't even have to care about. So, in the end, the show didn't know what to do and how to go about solving all the cans it opened. Either we get season 2 or this is it. And, by the end of the show, I totally forgot that Kanzaki was a part of the same series. I still hand it a 7 for the animation, fights, Misaka and for the first half of the show. |

The series was okay. I stopped trying to take this anime seriously like five episodes in. Sometimes it got really corny when they tried to make things serious, especially at the parts where they keep talking for an hour straight or try to be bad ass. Also I kept saying to myself while watching, wow that was dumb, who the hell cares, so predictable, calm the hell down you crazy hoe, couldn't you have done that stuff earlier, it would have saved a lot of blood, energy, and time, that was easy, wtf?, man my wang ain't hard at all from the action. A lot of things seemed forgotten all together or at least not played out well. It has some awesome potential and is great aside from the action bits. Really hope the next seasons or spin offs will be better than this as I LOVE all the characters. 7/10, Glad I finally got through this. |

I like how it ends and it just doesn't feel finished, i'd rather have it that way leading into a second season, than having it climax here then start form a low point again. good stuff, sad to see if gone for a while til we get the spin off and season 2. noteDhero said: I'm sorry. Maybe just because she is a tsundere that controls lightning? that's pretty cool in my book. |

Yeh it feels incomplete, but that just means that we'll get a seconds season sooner or later. Or maybe it'll somehow continue in Rail Gun. Anyway, really enjoyed the series. Great animation, funny episodes and awesome music. Also kinda got a Shana vibe from every episode. Biribiri. 9/10 |

I guess I don't understand because it's the first character able to control elsectricity that I don't really care about...I'll also fan flames and say that Felli from Regios and Taiga from Toradora are far better characters than Misaka, if only because there is no depth to her character and that she isn't funny. |

I'd agree with this but it isn't surprising. Can anyone name one character in this series that had any sort of depth to them? Even the character the series is named after is barely developed and the main character Touma is the most generic (and thus annoying) male anime hero ever that never changes one bit throughout the series, EVEN AFTER COMPLETELY LOSING HIS MEMORY (maybe he forgot he lost his memory too?). Misaki is just another member of Touma's harem that after saving, he discarded to fall back in to the shadows with the rest. Like the rest of his harem, it seems her sole purpose in the series is to create situations for Touma to need to rescue her. |

I dislike the fact that Touma seems to be able to run at incredible speed some times, yet, sometimes looks like his body is in slowmotion... Specially when he is giving a speech while rushing towards the enemy. On a side note, that blond bitch plot was hell too stupid. Like, producers only picked up randomical and overused plot devices, and mixed up with even more over used stuff. Its already the 10th time i saw a character like Hyouka on a series. And its always like that. She is a monster, but she doesn't know, the antagonist throws some brainwash bullshit at her, she goes emo, and tries to sacrifice her self for the ones who become her friends. then the main character suddenly manages to run his way out of the underground, and miracously arrives at the fight scene to kick the bad guy's ass. Damn it. Its so overused even power rangers have that. |

"To Aru Kagaku no Railgun" will air in Fall 2009. That means that second season of Index will appear in either Summer or Fall 2010. Bad things about that: long wait for Index, season 2 (of course, Railgun will greately easen the wait for that) Good things: more novels will be released till the 3rd season ends (there are enough novels to guarantee a 3rd season and enough popularity in Japan to make it worth animating it) so the chances for the 4th season increases, as well as the chances of it being true to the novels. |

I never read the novels or anything like that, but I'm curious as to if they ever go further in depth about Touma losing his memory? Perhaps its just the long breaks between each episode that I've seen, but it seems to me that plot served nearly no purpose from the time of occurrence to the end of the season. One would think it would have some sort of significance, but that's pretty much the only thing that bothered me. If anyone knows the answer to this, feel free to post on my page/send me a message. Would greatly appreciate any relief in this regards lol. Another thing is whatever became of Sherry Cromwell. Probably arrested and all that jazz, but if they could've included a small scene of that taking place, I would also be put at ease... done with complaints. Yeah, it got a bit repetitive and cheesy. However, the series as a whole overcame that and effectively delivered an interesting story and definitely leaves room to improve on itself. Definitely would catch on however many more season to come. Somewhat of a biased output here though, I can't wait for the side-story with Misaka. She's my favorite character in the show. A nice, innocent girl who possess great talents. The whole confused romance part was very enjoyable trait about her and I hope there will be more in-depth there. Quite a stereotype character, but great nevertheless. Hyouka is easily my least favorite character with almost the least screentime. Once again a typical "outcast" being that "learns" a life lesson in a short amount of time and then *whoosh*, gone like that. A few things I would look forward to in a future season(s) would be more resolve about esper vs. magic, perhaps a more defined background story about Touma's memory loss in connection with the rest of the plot, lastly the whole sects and charters and organizational stuff. I know, I should read the novels... I will when I get around to it. This is pretty much just a rant from a lazy guy >.> |

Nothing special in the ending and it will keep me hanging for a long time. The series is very enjoyable at all aspects. No slight regrets of watching 1. Touma's not an asshole unlike many male protagonists. 2. Action are just fine 3. Harem is enjoyable 4. Comedy okay I'll be waiting for the continuation of the story. The next season will just be a sidestory so that's different. Overall I rate it 8.5/10 and closed it to 9/10. I'll put it to a flat 9 or even 9.5 if the ending was more like an ending. |

*Sigh* Fukou da... Such an anti-climactic ending, I'm torn between giving this 7 or 8. The animation was rather nice, while many parts of the story were left unexplained. The soundtrack was memorable even though I take half the year between every few episodes. Second season is pretty much given, considering how they showed Stiyl and the lady. I guess I'll just go with 8, since I'm an high-rater anyway *shrugs* |

Are you serious... the actual story emerges in the final episode?! -_____-;;; meh okay ending, in the end i'd have to say that the series never reached the same level of epic as episode 02... which is kinda sad. But in the end, the pacing was a lot better in this arc. I'm pretty sure that if you were to watch this series in order, rather then one at a time, it'd be more enjoyable That being said, I'm actually excited for the Railgun anime. Not just because of Misaka, but more because the exposition-heavy story would actually fit in that plot. f.y.i. Railgun more follows cases that Kuroko, Misaka, and the rest of Judgement have to deal with. While it's got some cool action scene, its heart is a police/detective story. I personally enjoy the Railgun manga much more than the Index manga. |

Better have less-corny speech too. |
