| I don't really understand why people feel they need to be a "fan" of something. I watch and listen to what I like. It's as simple as that. Saying that I'm a fan of something seems like a commitment of a kind. And a commitment is a burden. Regardless of how much I like something, when I'm asked whether I'm a fan of it, I say no. |

| You just have to like something to the point of loss of social interaction (internet doesn't count). It doesn't necessarily involve liking anime or games etc to be an otaku. For instance you could be a guitar otaku. |
