If you wanted to provide a co-responding anime-equivalent US animated work you should have gone with something like Heavy Metal. However, I already admitted the existence of such rare works in my post there by using the term "most" instead of something with more binding context like "all". I'd definitely be watching more US animation if we made stuff like Monster, Haibane Renmei, Garden of Sinners, Black Lagoon, Higurashi no Naka Koroni, Gunslinger Girl, Koi Kaze, Death Note, Ef-A Tale of Memories, Eden of the East, etc. but we just don't. |
