Just finished Refrain... Just WOW. I can't wait till the whole story is animated, and I'm so glad I got to enjoy it. Definitely one of the best experiences, as my first VN, and having seen a a bunch of anime and manga. The Ending video for the VN's hilarious too. I know this isn't a VN discussion, but just had to say how much I enjoyed it, so that people might see and continue to stick with the show. Little Busters ROCK! |

it's sad seeing anime only viewers drop the show because of the earlier episodes :( trust the VN people, and stick with it. you WILL be rewarded tenfold. theres a reason why this show got so much hype. to see that more people have dropped this show than any other show airing breaks my heart :( I cannot wait to IN YOUR FACE all the people that ridiculed the story when only having watched the first few episodes. |

Never played the VN and I admit I was losing interest in this show but this episode did bring it back. Let's see how long it will stay that way. Midori seems like an interesting character. Never thought this show will have supernatural vibe since it don't have such tag in its genre. |

SleepingEntity said: Mio is awesome. She's my second favourite Key character, just after Nagisa, which isn't even a fair comparison, seeing as how Nagisa got all the attention in Clannad. Characters who just fawn over the protagonist going MOE MOE are the boring ones in my eyes. Mio actually has a distinct personality that is rather unique in Key VNs. And she does not lack emotion - she doesn't want to get close to anyone because she wants to be forgotten. In fact, she's one of the heroines that makes more sense in LB. It's just that she never smiles and is always saying Riki is trying to sexually harass her. There's nothing fun about her. Midori has an actual personality. I will however agree that by wanting to be forgotten that does make her unique and is something I forgot about. Just I think Midori, despite being basically a twin for Mio, is actually attractive since she has a personality that isn't "I want to be forgotten." It's amazing what a mood change can do (not that it is one, but you get my point). And to the guy who finished Refrain, congratulations =) I'm glad to hear of people on here playing it rather than waiting for the show to do it. |

In contrast to most of the guys here, I liked Haruka's route the most, why? it's more like a typical soap opera drama and I felt more emotions over there than any of the heroines arc save for Rin, and yes Komari and Kud's arc were the most unrealistic for me. and it's true Refrain is where the typical Key event trigger causes all the sh*t to the entire story plot, in a good/depressing way. if we compare LB! to clannad on a show's perspective, the first half or maybe this entire 24 episodes will be like the first season of clannad, and the refrain part (which I think will be done on a different season is the after story arc in clannad. So to give every non VN reader a glimpse on the character development that's about to happen let me say this simple thing: from what I saw obn both Key works it seems to me Riki outclasses Angel Beats!'s Otonashi Yuzuru or Clannad's Tomoya when it comes to manliness ^_^ |

This episode was quite freaky as my true fears of my Mega theory whom even Kenshin might deny it, well he did not object to it. Here: This is my theory on Mio's whole arc revealed. Based on my instincts I have read around the whole last person is not Mio but a childhood imaginary friend that she forgot and it came alive. Its medium being Mio’s shadow to appear and that is why she hides it. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Little_Busters!_characters http://littlebusters.wikia.com/wiki/Mio_Nishizono Now that being said I formulate the following: based on R&D I found of the following, http://www.perception9.com/ghosts-and-hauntings/ghost-experience.php?article=Shadow-People&item=00000181 Whom is what I think is Mio’s imaginary friend. That was done by her ESP powers that she may not know about at all and it’s not even hinted. At most assumed. Now that being assumed we can easily deduce the following, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ectoplasm_(paranormal) Whom is how it formed itself but because Mio’s limits on her world it was not that strong in manifestations until that fake world was made where the limits of it are far less. As a result this site: http://www.paranormalghostsociety.org/ghosts.htm Suggests it may be a Shadow Ghost Class 5. That is pretty wild if it turns out to be one. Further studies in the following, http://www.annsparanormal.freehomepage.com/custom2.hhtml Avert to it may be a ghost shadow indeed. So based on all that Mio made a fake friend that became alive due to her kinetic outbursts and her developed mind that became at most a harmless ghost visible to her. With another world it becomes a threat that might be as far as giving bad energy to Mio and most of all can appear and manipulate things much more. If anything it be a danger since Mio is using a parasol to shield herself from it. Based on this and on top of that here: http://books.google.ca/books?id=U9mGiqpR9gsC&pg=PT62&lpg=PT63&ots=92tCU_VhlV&dq=missing+your+shadow%2Bmeaning It tells quite clearly what is the manifestation of the shadow. It’s to further note that the secret of the world assuming the following: To see you own shadow in your dream, signifies an aspect of yourself which you have not acknowledged or recognized. It may be a quality about yourself or a part of you that you are rejecting or want to keep hidden. These qualities may not necessary be negative, but can be creative ones. To see a shadowy figure in your dream, represents aspects of this figure which you have not acknowledged or incorporated into your own personality. Alternatively, it symbolizes the young, the helpless or the under-developed. Holds true from this source: http://www.oocities.org/jadeaaustin/spells/dd.html.tmp Could very well be a dream made up world. Question still remains who and why. More than anything how any fabrication of such great calliper would be possible. However it would certainly explain Mio’s shadow coming to life aka Midori. Now here’s another question WHY? Why would Mio not have what Midori has? What caused it in her past? Was she abused by the family? Was she never cared for enough? So much to know more of Mio due to this episode. It’s however to note that the freaky part is clearly knowing for a fact that Mio’s shadow is missing parts whom is quite freaky indeed. However I am sure that Rikki’s book is plain simply going to be the medium that will bring her back. There is no other way less he studies black/white magic from the occult itself. Many times I was think if only the Ghostbusters would bust out that shadow on the side lines. It’s to note that I find Midori slutty the way she goes about Rikki. I would prefer much more Mio and her talk. As low and not great it may be, it’s pitch and pace makes it sexy and kinky. Enough at least to be much tasteful that Midori’s all over Rikki like some TRAMP! It’s too bad because Mio’s appearance is also being soiled. I can understand she might have desires of this but many girls do and I find Mio to be unique and that she can do the same with eye contact and sweet talk. I am sure many will agree with this notion. I shall stop there as I am watching other animes now. |

Well, yes, Mio isn't fun the slightest, I will agree with you on that. It's just that among all these characters who are unrealistic in their undying love for the protagonist, Mio is a stark contrast that is pretty rare in Key VNs. Mio is the only character who had interesting moments in the common route. In fact, Mio moments were probably the only emotional ones throughout all of common route. I think the reason I like her most is that it feels most rewarding when you actually do get her to smile. I mean, Kud and Haruka both have awesome routes and they're funny for the most part, but it doesn't feel awfully interesting when they talk to you and such, unless it's a joke (they make up for it with their backstories, though). But who could forget the moment when you found Mio's book in the classroom (VN version, not anime). That was just heart-warming, seeing her actually smile and thank you after putting on an emotionless face for so long. That is why I like Mio. Oh, and "Approaching Light" is one of Key's best BGMs. |

I find pretty interesting to see someone make an explanation, it's also a nice work, I don't think they will try to justify Key magic as something 'credible'. It's just magic, but I really enjoyed Yumekichi's theory. Great episode, Mio's arc is one of my favorite from the game. |

Ooh, Mio, you stole my heart in a flash. A lovely character which hopefully will return soon, maybe even back together with her shadow? Who knows, let's see what Riki comes up with to solve this dilemma. I'm beginning to understand why everyone and their mother praised Little Busters to the skies. |

Arcriatrix said: with you on that Haruka's is one of my favorites for that reasonIn contrast to most of the guys here, I liked Haruka's route the most, why? it's more like a typical soap opera drama and I felt more emotions over there than any of the heroines arc save for Rin, and yes Komari and Kud's arc were the most unrealistic for me. |

LOL HOLY SHIT! It's best if you just let it slide as Key magic, otherwise some other events in the story will cause you to explode when finding an interpretation. |

ratings don't matter, actually there were top ranked shows that are sh*tty for my taste, I advice people not to judge a show by its rank, also the fact that fanboys or haters can freely overrate/underrate their favorite/hated show is something to consider as well when looking for something worthy @Yumekichi you're theory is Class S, highly classified information XD so after Mio's arc ends, we'll be back to the boring daily life route then there goes another girl, I guess it'll be Kurugaya up next, then Kud, Haruka, then Rin1 and Rin2 next and the season might end this way: extreme cliffhanger with an extremely bittersweet moments of Riki promising to himself to become stronger (from Rin2) O_o or He ends with Rin (Rin1) and the ending will be sweet, excluding the narcolepsy ending in the VN that followed when Riki and Rin were in their school, but as LB! S2 (Refrain) starts, Riki will suddenly wake up from a nightmare when he saw the dark scene of the accident O_o then things start getting sh*tty ^_^ |

i actually think the Mal ratings are pretty accurate (aside from a few exceptions). Ongoing ratings are fairly inaccurate to say the least, more than half the people watching the show still haven't rated it. we'll get a more accurate rating once the show is finished. Arcriatrix said: I used to have huge knack in high school for the occult so I know lot of stuff and can reference it. Mio's paranormal state captivated me. It was a while anything dealth with shadows. Most of time it's spooky and I did not mention this but I did "Shat in my pants" expression wise only of how freaky it did reflect upon me seeing them shadow with missing parts. I was really goosebumps up there. Really amazing execution.ratings don't matter, actually there were top ranked shows that are sh*tty for my taste, I advice people not to judge a show by its rank, also the fact that fanboys or haters can freely overrate/underrate their favorite/hated show is something to consider as well when looking for something worthy @Yumekichi you're theory is Class S, highly classified information XD Might as well yell out now that this episode is officially the first episode I felt really THEE CLANNAD VIBES! Totally there and I should mention this before I forget. I can only hope it will keep on feeling like that for the rest of the arcs. There are no more words how fantastic it was. |

Woah! Scary! Bitch be fucked up! I knew she didn't have a shadow, and I'd read about Midori bein her doppelganger, but I didn't realize how jarring it'd be. And she's mean spirited too. So me being afraid of a pretty girl smiling happily was my instincts kicking in. Mio is unnerving, but...not that bad. |
I go by many names, some call me Hoshimaru, others call me Jiro or Aosou-Kun. I believe myself a force for good, a papercrafter by trade, and one who seeks love and beauty animesque. I am the host of the youtube show Who Would You Do? |

So there's 2 Nishizono's Mio and Midori I really liked the dialogues from Mio again The bounds between the Little Busters were shown pretty good I used to try to find Four Clovers with friends as well Sadly none spotted The one reason why Kyoani would probably be the disappearing memories has been done already with my Favorite Character of all time <------ |

Hmm I don't really trust any of this. I didn't think the Little Busters world was capable of something like this, even in the ghost story episode, the scares turned out to be realistic tricks. So I hope there's a reasonable explanation to this. This arc just seems like its on a totally different level to what's come before it. |

Oh I loved the setting of the beach scene. A boy and girl stand on a seawall, overlooking the ocean, a beautiful blue sky above. Where do I know that from? ^_^ I must say, the one thing I didn't like about this episode was Midori's dialogue at the 'reveal'. Something about it just really didn't click with me and I think it could have been written a bit better. One thing I dislike about Key (Oh no, I'm criticising my favourite company!) is that they tend to reuse a lot of plot devices, such as everyone forgetting Mio. Currently I'm in this amazing routine where I limit myself to 2 episodes a day (so that the whole series is subbed by the time I get to the last episode), at around 4 o'clock. I make a cappuccino, get comfy and enjoy it. I find that if you limit yourself so that you have something to look forward to, it's a much more satisfying experience than just marathoning the whole series. Though there is no way I could limit myself to one episode per week, which is why I will never follow currently airing series unless they're very close to being finished, just like Little Busters. Also, I really hope they don't change the OP and ED, I'm really enjoying them T_T |
