So this week I was having so issues finding shows that interested me to watch, so i deiced to re watch some of the shows that i really enjoyed at the start of the summer.

So i get like 3 episodes into them and i cant take it any more i find it so boring because i already know whats going to happen. I remember it too well even though it was many months ago. I even pick ones that i don't remember at all but 2-3 episodes in i remember all of it and cant stand re watching it.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Yep, same thing happens to me. I have a short attention span for the most part, so if it's something I've seen before... it feels really old and boring. It does not only happen for anime, it also happens for movies... I struggle to watch a movie more than twice... on the second time it still seems old...

I tried to re-watch Shakugan no Shana, which is one of my favorites... but I couldn't watch past the third episode.

It depends on the show. Some of my favorites like Haibane Renmei, Honey and Clover, and Azumanga Daioh I've rewatched several times and haven't gotten tired of it. Other shows like Evangelion I have troubles rewatching. Even some which I've rated highly like Berserk I have a hard time trying to rewatch the whole thing.

Well many kids have ADD/ADHD nowadays so thats probably why ppl get bored of games and anime and other forms of entertainment quick.

Well i rewatch Lucky Star every now and then coz its always funny and Bleach because i DVR the dub and sometimes i realize some things i missed. Like in episode 2 they were talking about flying but most ppl think they just threw that in there (flying in bleach) for no reason. but i realize i rewatch alot of anime especially the ones i buy when they reach the video store.

"What happens when we die?" I know that the ones who love us will miss us.

Never really had trouble with that. If I liked the show enough to save it then I probably won't have any trouble re-watching. I have shows I've seen clear through 5-8 times and would gladly watch again.
Though I will say that, in general, when it comes to dramatic shoujo shows, I can never re-watch them. *Gags* I can't handle the dramaz more then once. >.<

I have a hard time rewatching shows too unless I'm showing them to somebody. This is doubly true for more episodic shows, even if they're awesome.

I rarely re-watch series, but when i do it happens to me too. I just would rather watch something else. Though it usually happens when i rewatch series that is not a comedy.

I have serious problems trying to do that. I get bored too fast. I just stick with the coolest episodes and scenes if i feel like doing someting like that.

I also need to find another series as soon as I finish one.

Only conditions for me to rewatch an episode:
-Saw the Sub now watching the Dub
-Watching it with someone else

Same goes for most other things, although the first condition is pretty limited to anime.

I don't force myself to rewatch shows, but when I do it's generally when I travel to places, definitely convenient.

Though I have rewatched Code Geass several times (wheres my season 2 >.>)

If a show/book/movie/something has proper character development I usually rewatch the first couple eps/chapters/acts over just to refresh myself with what the characters were before they changed. Good for character based shows, but not action based.

This works especially well where the writing staff plans out everythnig before they bring it to the storyboard; which, sad to say, doesn't happen all too often in anime today.

I don't know how many times I've rewatched Ouran. It's not even my favorite anime. I guess I don't rewatch a whole lot of series, but certain ones I have a habit of rewatching a ridiculous number of times, to the point where I can talk along with a scene despite the fact that I don't speak Japanese. ;; There are also certain episodes of Conan that I tend to watch a lot. I'm rewatching Lucky Star right now (I needed a screencap from episode 3 for something, so I'm just watching the whole episode) ... Ah, and lately I've rewatched Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo like three times for some reason. O_o I reread manga a *lot*, too.

-shrug- I generally don't have a problem with going through series I enjoy multiple times.

Honestly, it depends on the series in question. FullMetal Alchemist was a decent series, but once is enough from the peanuts gallery. Meanwhile, I can rewatch the same episode of Samurai Champloo or Baccano! multiple times in the same day, though less so Champloo, because I recently marathoned it.

QFT. I've re-watched Champloo a couple times, and i'll probably re-watch Baccano once its over, just to catch more details.

I've also rewatched BGC 2040 a couple times. Don't know why.

It all depends, I re-watch anything, or can anyway, without much trouble, I mean Ai Yori Aoshi went through me like mexican food, seen it over 30 times since I got it on DVD 3 years ago and it's STILL damn good. Action shows are easy to re-watch and same with comedy and mecha (which is still action normally)

Yup. I have to wait a year or more usually before I can rewatch a show, lol (and I have a terrible memory). There are exceptions though, like FLCL. I can watch that over and over again.

I rewatch the shows I really enjoy. Usually I plan to rewatch many more shows than I do, but in the end I don't because I get hooked up in something else. All I can think about that I've rewatched a couple of times is Mai Hime and Elfen Lied. I usually end up half through other shows and start on something new instead.

I love rewatching series, although I usually leave a sizeable time between seeing a thing once and seeing it again. I've always done it, anime, film, TV, books, all that sort of thing; I can't imagine only ever experiencing stories I've loved once. If it's good enough for me to buy it, I'll watch it again at some point. Part of it is my rubbish memory which remembers that I like a thing but not many details of it, but mostly I can happily sit and watch something again and while I watch, I remember how and why it pleased me the first time, plus I usually see new things that add to the goodness. Usually I like rewatching things with strong storylines best, to watch how the story works on a technical level. Also, some things are ritual; my mum and I always marathon the three extended Lord of the Rings films on a day over christmas, for example.

the enjoyment of re-watching anime depends solely on your tastes. You may think the anime is really well made but it's not good enough for your tastes so it becomes un-re-watchable (...is that even a word? XD lol).

I'm able to watch episodic content over again quite happily such as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Seto no Hanayome, Mushisi and i'm able to repeatedly watch films without much effort along with anime around 13 episodes.

The problem being if its a longer series of say 20+ episodes i tend to watch 5 before leaving it for another day and watch another episode/film/short series. Just that i never seem to return back to them.

Although that said i love watching things again i find awesome and never seem to lose interest in such as Soul Societ arc in bleach, tengen toppa gurren lagann to where i am now and generally anything full of brilliance.

Although somepeople mention they could repeatedly watch Azumanga Daioh again i'd have to disagree on my part since i found it a chore to watch it through once. Everything seemed repetetive and only Osaka and Kimura parts interested me.

rewatching shows is pretty fun, but there needs to be a period of time in between. for example, i stopped watching anime about 3+ years ago, and for some reason this summer i had a slight urge to rewatch my old favorites, school rumble, outlaw star, noir etc, and man it's like watching these kickass shows for the first time again!

And now i'm watching too many new shows that is hard to catch up...

I've rewatched the majority of my collection at -least- twice. Any pre-06 series I'll have watched 3+ times. I'm currently rewatching Samurai Champloo, which I've already seen 3 or 4 times.

So yeah. If it's on my completed list, I've seen it at least twice, pretty much. Some exceptions (stuff rated 5 or lower) but I enjoy rewatching series a lot. So much so that I end up backlogging current stuff... but that's alright because binging through a series is usually more enjoyable than waiting week to week for episodes. ^^;

Honestly Kira2156 how can you lack good shows to watch if you have only seen around 100?

You're either not looking properly or you just like 1 or 2 specific genres and need to widen your horizons.

In my case sometimes it happens, but I usually find something good to watch. I sometimes opt to re-watch something but besides School Rumble, Honey & Clover & Berserk I believe I haven't watched anything more than twice. Not even movies.

Depends what it is. If it's a comedy based like Azumanga I'll always watch it. If it's something like Cowboy Bebop I can watch a select few eps over again (I have done that quite a few times already). Same goes for Death Note actually.

If it's something like Perfect Blue I just can't watch it again really because the twist is not surprising anymore.

It depends on the series, but I usually like rewatching anime/movies, or rereading books, because in a sort of way, the fact that you know what is about to happen, but the characters don't, is very enjoyable. =D Especially if there are foreshadowing events (though they're not that present in anime, more in books).

There are series that I've watched more than four times, for example, Higurashi 1st season (still I can't bring myself to finish rewatching the second one); also, things like Slayers Next, and many episodic series.

But there are also shows that I've liked a lot, and I avoid rewatching, or at least I wait at least half an year before rewatching, otherwise, they'd seem annoying to me.

If I do rewatch, it's usually OVA or movies because they're shorter. Satoshi Kon or Ghibli films I've all watched at least twice. FLCL I watched 3-4 times. Cowboy Bebop, Azumanga, and Evangelion I watched three times. Zetsubou Sensei I completely rewatched before starting Zoku. Oh! Edo Rocket I watched like 5 times already...D: Granted I skip some parts when I rewatch it. Simoun will get a rewatch when I get all the DVDs, and I feel like rewatching original Minami-ke soon if I can find where I put the eps I burned.

Like others have said, it really depends on the series. Some shows I can rewatch multiple times, for other shows once is enough.

When I am making a website devoted to a particular series, I rewatch the show an insane number of times to collect data about it, write character bios/episode summaries, gather radom trivia and stupid useless facts, note what music is played when, etc etc.

That said, I have watched Hana Yori Dango, Cowboy Bebop, and Ashita no Nadja a ridiculous number of times. Seriously.

For some reason I have also rewatched Magic Knight Rayearth season 2 over and over, as well as Princess Tutu, Escaflowne, and Marmalade Boy. Some shows are really amazing in that you can find new little details in them you missed before every time you watch.

I also like rewatching things by showing them to other people. I know what is coming up in the story, and I like seeing other people's reactions to the events as they happen.

There are very few series I don't think I could rewatch. I've seen almost everything on my list at least twice (watched while airing, then binged some time after it was complete) and some of them a lot more. The only stuff I can't/don't rewatch is boring drama like Kima ga Nozomu Eien (though I did rewatch that recently before the OVAs started, and still disliked it just as much as when it aired) -- never again. >.<

But, I like to binge through old series while waiting for current stuff. I can easily burn through a single cours series in an evening. Span a double cours over two days. I collect almost everything I watch for that reason.
