| I never watched any anime on TV as a kid, not pokemon, not DB(Z), nothing really. But sometime last year I watched an episode of FLCL on TV. Re-watched the series over and over again, then sometime in April or may just decided to start actually getting into anime. I think the first thing I watched other than that was ika musume or madoka. |

Now it's one of my biggest hobbies = D and on a side note.. am I the only one on this topic that doesn't have to get high/has ever gotten high to watch anime...? Killing my braincells just doesn't appeal to me. |
| Well, TV obviously. But then I quit after a while. Then during Winter 2012, I got really bored and I started watching ongoing series like Chihayafuru because I read the manga series as well. Then I followed Sakamichi no Apollon, Hyouka and other Spring ones. And then I finished Nodame Cantabile and that was the time when I was completely hooked onto Anime. |

| I actually started anime with Naruto. I was about 11 years old, and for me the world of japanimation was limited to Naruto, One Piece, Death-Note and Bleach. And at that time these other anime didn't interest me. This is only this year, when I watched Naruto again (after at least 1 year without having watched it at all), that I got very disappointed by how the serie had become. But I really felt like watching something, an anime. So, I looked for something with a good plot, not a romance thing, why not horror, and I came upon another. The chara design looked good, the plot was perfect, so I went for it. And I liked it so much, that Another totally introduced me into the world of japanimation. I wanted something else, that I could like as much as Another. Therefore I first only watched horror show, and then I started to interests in other genres. |
| well besides the miazaki movies that i did not know where anime. i did not even hear of the word anime until i watch higurashi so ya higurashi got me into anime because i loved the story so much. :3 then i moved on to other anime. |

| Well, it all started during my early childhood. I can still remember rushing home from school just to catch the latest episode of DBZ and yuyu hakusho on tv. But of course, that didn't really get me into anime. it was during 7th grade (or first year highschool in the philippines) that i really got into anime. I remember back then that during summer break we had just moved into our new house and we had no wifi. So while rummaging around the piles of junk, i stumbled upon an anime dvd which was Tokimeki Memorial: Only Love, if i remember correctly. After that when we finally got an internet connection, the first thing i googled was anime. And roughly 4 years later, here i am, still watching anime. |

| I got into it when anime started appearing on Saturday morning cartoon blocks. Like many others, I started with your 'mons and Dragon Ball Z. Random VHS rentals as well of Miyazaki films as well. It wasnt until December 2002 when Shonen Jump came stateside that I really got into anime/manga though. |

| When i was little i used to watch Saint Seiya,Digimon and Dragon Ball,but i never was really into anime. When i grew up i gave up of watching anime,i thought it was pretty bad(mostly because of naruto fans,they annoyed me all the time),then i decided to give animes a try.I watched Death Note and i really like it,then i watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood,after that i watched a few others...and i'm here today. |

| As a kid, I was really into shows like DBZ, Naruto, Pokemon, One Piece etc. I would watch these with my brother we really enjoyed those shows. Toonami also got me into anime too. |

| My first dabbling into anime was seeing Digimon on a weekday morning block for a TV station that no longer exists. But as I didn't know it was anime I don't count it as my first. My first experience with anime was when I was in 6th grade, my cousin introduced me to Wolfs Rain. It took me two years to get my hands on more anime but since 8th grade, I've been going strong with anime and manga. |

| A friend showed me DBZ on Toonami when I was about 9 years old. I thought It looked kind of weird at first but started to really like it the more I watched. I watched Toonami almost every night that it was on for years before I learned of all the other anime that was out there. |
