| Anime music gets discussed a lot, but I didn't see any posts that mention Asian Drama theme songs or music. I did a search, but nothing came up. Forgive me if I missed an existing discussion! Anyway, like with anime, there are a lot of dramas that have really good or memorable background music or theme songs. Do you have any favorites? I like more songs, but that is enough for now ^_^ As for OSTs and BGM, I really like the cute music in Gokusen (all seasons) and the instrumental tracks in Anego and Goong/Palace. |

| NOTHING can beat Nodame Cantabile. really, nothing. I absolutely LOVE classical music, and piano music... so i guess it may just be me being bias, but nothing can top good classical music 8D the Last Friends opening is really good too. i love utada hikaru though ;P....and this show (the song fits the show SO well, which makes it more awesome) the coffee prince OST is really fun to listen to as well. they have some really good songs, i really like the main song . its catchy. |

| I've always loved Ai Otsuka's Planetarium and Utada Hikaru's Flavor of Life from Hana Yori Dango. Hana Kimi (Japan)'s Ikenai Taiyou by Orange Range grew on me as well. Goong's Aeng Moo Sae (Like a Parrot) by HowL and Stay are my favourites also. |

| Definitely Nodame Cantabile's OSTs. They're so far the best Drama OSTs I've ever heard. XD There are some other drama songs that I like, for instance, Orange Range's Ikenai Taiyou, Utada Hikaru's First Love, SPEED's Steady, and of course Toshinobu Kubota's La la la Love song. |

| Yeah I have to agree that HYD has a good OST....I also think Iryu Team Medical dragon uses music effectively...it definitely helps to bring out emotion for the scenes it's used in....even though it gets kind of repetitive after watching the first season. |

| Great Teacher Onizuka - totally amazing, 'Poison' in particular stands out. 1 Litre of Tears - the BMG and Remioromen's songs are all very moving. 'Konayuki' is such a great song, I love Miku Hatsune's version too. NANA - Yuna Ito's debut as REIRA is still her best work so far. 'Endless Story' always tug on my heartstrings. My Name is Kim Sam Soon - a cute OST with great comedy timing. Good songs by Clazziquai. Long Vacation - love the OP 'La la la Love Song'! There's a classic feel to the whole OST. It had aged quite well considering the drama was from 1996! Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) - Amazing and very moving OP and ED songs! Reminds me of the wuxia dramas and their soundtracks that I loved as a child. Swing Girls - big band heaven! There are some more that have slipped my mind right now, will add them later! |
