Btw, where did Gai find Inori in her cell or w/e she was in?

lol at the haters rating it down just because of shu riding a scooter, or just bashing it from the same old reasons because there aren't many new ones , this is an episode discussion you know, you could at least say why hated this episode not the previous ones before, giving a low rating without at least explaining is just..well....boring, its getting really old seeing the same old reasons, or saying new reasons as crappy as "shu was riding a scooter, immediate 1/5", i really am interested to see actual reasons why this episode was bad, you may even change my opinion of it

it wasn't even a proper scooter, it looked like the robot companion of inori that tsugumi uses, i suppose it would be unfair to leave it out the fight, also he never used ayase's void because he didn't want to carelessly expose it to danger, from what i see he only uses voids when he really needs it or when he is saving someone, he would be selfish to just use ayase's void to travel in style when it isn't necessary

lol at fanboys taking haters so seriously and claiming we're the ones who are too serious.

Last episode, you said 34 attempts at invasion were destroyed. Some episode before that, we saw some fleet get vaporized by one. Now, the 256 Leukocytes are a bluff? Nice continuity there. Something something lame cliche dialog let's save the world blah. LOL terrible dialog between Ayase and Shoe. It's hilarious how they always seem to instantly know an exact percentage of how much of the enemy force has been wiped out. Why the fuck has Daryl not been imprisoned due to the blatant treason he's committed? Oh, gotta get more Tsugumi ass shots in there before the series is over. What's that? You blow minds? That's not the only thing you blow. Yes Shoe, let's call Souta's name, because we definitely need to do that to use his void. "Then we'll all have a happy ending"? HOLY LOL who's in charge of the dialog here. "Hey, we still haven't told the story of how Inori joined the Undertakers." "Duh... let's throw in a 5 second flashback." "Duh... 'kay!" No, Inori. You can't try to tell me Shu has decent characterization. That's not how it works. (Not to mention the vain attempt at giving YOU a personality.) Shu = man? ROFL Gai you funny. Shu "brilliantly" got his powers back? They were HANDED to him, Guy Whose Name I Still Don't Remember. Oh lawd, now he's offering the Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil so he can complete Human Instrumentality NGE style. Oh wait. Inori was suffering and fighting darkness inside her? When was this happening? I'm pretty damn sure they just threw all rules about Voids out the window for the sake of pure coolness. I at least gotta give the wardrobe designer props, because they come up with some pretty awesome-looking shit. Surprisingly, this episode didn't even have much cool going for it... except the outfits. I thought there was supposed to be some super awesome climax going on? No? You can't even do that? LOL.

Some Quick thoughts:

Yet again, the Military's tactics don't make sense. They conviently place themselves in the worse possible position for Gai's counter strike. They have all kinds of weapons and don't use the to supress GHQ's defenses and ground forces.

Yes, Shu on the scooter was a bit hookie. His fight with Yuu/Daath was good. Still, we now have more questions about Yuu/Daath then we did before this episode.

I loved the Shu/Ayase moments. I've waited a long time for this scene. It says a lot Ayase's feelings for and about Shu, that she asked him to help her. I really like how she told him not to turn this into a suicide mission.

The Inori being mind wiped scenes were Sad. Interesting that she and Shu said basicly the same things about each other.

Tsugumi.... Mama Haruka? (shakes head) Look out Shu, it sounds like you now have a little sister.

Is it me, or did the writers throw in that opening to try to redeem Gai? Really, I could have done without it. Oh, and the Void Genome can now be used to wipe minds? It's right up there with Gai coming up with these Super Combo Voids at the drop of a hat.

What do you think?
Summoning Dark: "What kind of human creates his own policeman?"

Watcman: "One who fears the dark."

"And so he should," said the enity, with satisfaction.

"Indeed. But I think you misunderstand. I am not here to keep the darkness out. I'm here to keep it in." There was a clink of metal as the shadowy watchman lifted a dark lantern and opened it's little door. Orange light cut through the blackness. "Call me . . . the Guarding Dark. Imagine how strong I must be."

It was said that Daath was an organisation that watched over the world since ancient time or something like that. Void isn't alike to magic but rather undiscovered science and Daath are likely to be being that were always advanced for their time while seeking further advancement and evolution. What he said suggest that he is currently the only member of this Daath group for reason that we aren't obligated to know.

I'm thinking that it's weird that people can't be satisfied with explanation like that.

Daath are mostly 'watchers', a group (of now one person) that has evolution in mind and could sacrifice everything and anyone for that sake. Do you want to know which brand of tea he prefer, if he like them flat or big or how their existence is related to the creation of the world? It's unnecessary stuff like that that turn mysterious being into an existing cliche ranging from being a martyr in a melodrama to simply being a maniac without moral.

Want the scientific equation of how void power work with that? I'm not one that beleive that all should be explained in a story. A story doesn't have to have a 10 pages long backstory for every character and logical reason behind every single action they are doing. We're talking about human in a work of fiction and not about programming an AI.

I beleive that so far GC answered what it had to answer and that the problems lies in misconception, things that aren't necessary to be answered and misunderstanding.
I'm far from thinking that GC is perfect, depending on the end it'll range from an 6 to a 9 from me, 7-8 most likely but I fail to see all the hate around this show especially comming from people that consider other works of an about even level to be grandiose (Yes i'm looking at you P4 fanboys).

GC does well what it was meant to do: Being an average fanservice anime. (And by fanservice I do not mean ecchi fanservice but I guess that for most of MALers fanservice automaticaly means perverted stuff).

I initially didn't intend to finish my post with this but oh well.
They see me rollin' they hattin'

I also won't bother to reply to anyone that seem mad and I shall be the sole judge on this decision so if you intend to reply me then do it cool

I won't reply to anything related to P4 here (I already hear the fanboys runnin' here). Profile de onegai.

....

Gai's a good guy deep down... Why am I not surprise? Not in the slightest.

Haruka mama? Tsugumi is too cute ^_^

Ayase flet comfortable with Shu helping her out now ^_^

That scooter... I don't understand how Funnel can carry the weight of one person...

Inori got her memory wiped, bai, see you next episode when your memory is somehow restored again ^_^

Kuru kuru... Mawaru, Kimi no... Hitomi. (Awww Daath decide to share the fruit of fate, how cute)

What is that void that Shu uses? It's stronger than 20+ void combine.... He better use it again when fighting Gai.

Daath... seriously, what are you?

Mana seriously remind me of Princess of Crystal

Shweet, 1 more episode... I'll foolishly have faith and believe they'll end this nicely.

First BEEN A WHILE.

Second I agree with you about GC but I still think a Movie could tie in some ends or get into details. Still depends how they intend to finish it because so far there is a game made of Shu/Inori past the time frame of this episode.

Was a pretty good episode all in all, had some good moments and some seriously wtf moments... Shu on the Funnel-Mobile? LOL alright, definitely, definitely out of place when put in the grand scheme of things:

- Epic battle going down, the world is converging on the 'ground zero' of the fight that's going to either end the world or not. Massive military forces are converging, and Shu has to ride a freaking jurry-rigged Funnel-Vespa? Lol really.... Couldn't they at least make the device NOT embarrassing to ride on? Not asking something seriously awesome or anything but really, just about anything else could have been better. Hell let him ride on Ayase's Endlave or something, just... Ok I'm done.

Gai - Secret good guy in disguise? Toooootally didn't see that coming... /sarcasm
- He's probably going to try to kill Mana off once and for all, and die in the process. Consequently if he succeeds he takes Inori with him when Shu tweaks balls and probably turns him into a bloody stain on the floor in reaction to losing Inori.

As others state, loved the scene with Ayase and Shu, I think she legitimately likes him more than she liked Gai in the beginning(more like she adored guy, not really liked/loved)

"Haruka Mama" - Okay, I may call Tsugumi an ecchi fanservice character but that alone made me laugh, I have to say I liked that part of her - but her 'hacking' the system just reinforces my negativity on the purpose of her character, having her butt shaken in your face like you're motor-boating it practically through the one scene of her hacking the system was actually more irritating than anything else, if I have to be frank... Now I'm starting to jump on the "ecchi fanservice flaming bandwagon" here.

The fight with Daath vs Shu - I had to go back and look twice, it almost seemed like he was just changing the two voids he pulled out of people - kinda wondering how he takes two separate peoples' voids and turns them into identical weapons. I will wonder but I will leave it at him being the mysterious character he is supposed to be, and assume he has a vast grasp on the concept/science of voids and knows how to change them, along with Gai.

I am going to guess that Shu dealt a hefty enough blow that Yuu knew he couldn't keep the fight going, and simply retreated. Nothing more, nothing less, Shu bested him so he will stand aside.

Thinking that giant ball of awesome Shu used to beat Yuu was his own void though; no better explanation to it at the moment.

Inori losing her memories? Sad? Yes, very... for a moment. Random mysterious colorful flower coming from her last tears? .................. Mmmkay, I see what's going on here, see you next episode when they revive you somehow from that flower, Inori.

The way Shu and Inori described each other seems pretty accurate; I found nothing wrong with this. I also find nothing wrong with how the two came to love each other, looking back it starts to kind of make sense, but alas, the 'flashbacks' and really most of the series did feel rushed so the feelings the producers were probably trying to get across I think failed, again.

The episode seems descent enough; gave it a 5/5 simply because when viewing this episode/show from the perspective of your average anime viewer who doesn't live, breathe, and all but exist for anime but is inclined to watch it when a good one comes along, this episode was pretty much awesome.

I think most people here are looking far too much into the finer details of this show, expecting some grand meaning, or masterpiece framework of show/story/art/music to come along, and because it's not living up to their expectations, they're getting irritated about it. It's just a show, enjoy it for what it is.

My comment is long? Well I felt like actually 'discussing' it rather than throwing quick jabs at it, and also, I had some time to kill and this was a perfect way of doing so. ^_^

My own opinion is that if you wanted something that long said shouldve just made a review about the show. Anyways i think this episode was great, Shu was a badass again and Guy is a douche and Mana will be returned to Inori in the next episode and i believe that it would turn out with Guy saving Shu after they duke it out.

See? This is what we "haters" stuck around for, and I'm glad I did.

The last few eps have been increasingly getting better. It's pretty damn obvious that they planned this anime for its ending, since this section of the anime has been the most well planned and best directed imo. Sad to say that its a little to late though :S. Oh well.

5/5

My face was 5 cm away from the screen when Shu said that Ayase was perfect xD. My fanboyism of Ayase got the better of me there :P. Too bad that Inori is who he's going for D: Oh well. Both Shu and Inori have levelled up from a pansy-ass shoe and an emotionless plank of wood, so I don't mind this coupling anymore :D.

Daath and Shu's fight could've been so much more if they had 4-5 more episodes..

When Shu used his un-named, seemingly random OVERPOWERED ball-of-death attack from nowhere, I

No FUCKING idea what the FUCK was going on. Shu's powers got buffed without reason, and somehow, somehow, I get the feeling the entire operation only worked because of Tsugumi's HOLYWTFIMBABBQ hacking abilities(which for some reason she did not pull off before). And seriously, if she can hack the entire defense system just by seeing one, ONE bloody unit shoot one, I repeat, ONE round at a decoy, I think she can pretty well hack into any fucking thing on the planet.

Another thing I don't get. If Daath, Shu and neo-Gai all have the exact same Void Genome power, how come they are so different in terms of execution and sub-abilities? How can Gai just "erase your memories" just like that? Can Shu do that too?

At Worlds End the reference to God's tale Adam and Eva has arise again

Wonder how good this finale can be now Inori has turned into Mana

Is that shu void power when he shoot Yuu(Daath) ?
Could be although I think he has the Voids of all the current members of the Undertakers which could be used as excuses for any random never before seen Voids.

OK I found out Daryl's new Mecha meaning:
"Gespenst" (which in fact means Phantom in German),
source is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Robot_Taisen_OG_Saga:_Endless_Frontier
which I wonder did they borrow the design from there too?

Just to CHEESE US OUT I bet it's the combinations of all the Voids with Inori's Void.

Unmei no kajitsu wo issho ni tabeyou

Finished the episode and still didn't understand what the heck really is Daath but I'm glad someone explained it in this thread. Thanks.
Final episode next week. I'll just hope that Daryl won't die and take everything else with the flow.
Character design and OST is definitely superb. Mana's dress is shu pretty.

Inori's void can't be in the mix. She was not around by the time he regained his arm

robot segway was hilarious and awesome.

Daryl was incredible as always, oh gosh abs, and if he doesn't end up saving Tsugumi in some way and just dies I will be devastated.

Mana's dress was pretty nice.

And the random scene with Kenji was... refreshing.

If that red thing was really Shu's Void then,
Daath knows Shu's Void can absorb everything,shoots his attack directly to Shu's Void;
Daath can teleport and dematerialize himself, closes his eyes and waits for Shu's attack to hit him.

And when Shu defeated Daath,Gai and Inori just suddenly appeared in front of Shu.

Really? There is like NO POSSIBILITIES whatsoever?

Then WTF did he do to combine it less he learned somehow of Gai's trick which I am still baffled at HTF was he able to do it himself in the first place other than his own void.

The final episode is next week. Do you honestly want a minor fight like that to be dragged on into the FINAL episode?
