Yuno was badass and so was Yukiteru.

Nice to know that Yukiteru will make those children happy when he becomes god. Its not like as if he just killed them for the act of killing like yuno.

Poor Yuno, she had been with him for all those hard times and now he just throws her away :(

At this point I'll just have to stop paying attention to all stupid details and enjoy this for what it is.

At first I thought the first scene of the series was a flashforward to some point towards the end of the series but with this relevation it's actually confirmed as the starting point. I wonder if the real Yuki is dead as well? I can't think of any motive for acting as imposer for both of them though.. The little girl at Deus place was earlier shown to have ability to alter causality to some extent, maybe they are her pawns to ensure the new god becomes one she approves or something. Anyway, I'm hoping for a massive mindfuck narrative trick as an explanation for this imposer business.

not really a spoiler but w/e.

Seeing as how the manga ended the way it did I am actually hoping for this. Seeing as they had elaborated and did some scenes better than the manga itself, if they did lets say deviate and did their own ending I am sure it wouldn't be any worse off than how it would have originally been.

So it's okay to kill 3 people and bury them in your backyard, be a general psychotic murder-death-killer with fatalistic delusions but ...

It's not okay to pretend to be someone else?

I don't care what happens next, Yukiteru's reaction is grade A horse shit.

The directing of this episode was particularly bad. It had potential to be an epic episode, but they messed up so many of the supposedly memorable scenes (at least in the manga). Especially for Yukiteru's entrance, it could have been handled a lot better. The art was totally lousy this episode, what the hell happened to the action scenes in the 2nd half of the episode? Where did all the animators who did Episode 2 and 5 went to? And why did they put a freaking white light over Yuno's badass head ripping scene when they hesitated doing so in the first few episodes? Completely disappointed by this episode. 2.5/5.

The animation felt really awkward, especially the car crash physics... I mean WTF, how does that car bounce back?

Storywise, a good episode, this is where the badass part starts, although they will have to rush a bit...

That's it, the censoring is annoying, I will buy the DVD. Anyway, Yukkii is way better badass, too bad it's just an act.

I feel sorry for Eighth and her children dying, she's a good woman and deserves to be God.

When Minene and Akise drove up on their motorcycle, I was so happy! But the manga looked more epic! You can tell on Yuno's face that when Akise reveals all, she really hates him now ha! My favourite part because I love these characters!

Ahh I can't wait for next week!
As it turns out, living was a punishment...

Awesome episode. I'm really curious how this is going to continue.

About the first minute (or so?) of episode one, Yuno is seen being slaughtered saying "Help me, Amano-kun". so Yuno killed Yuno? Where did the 'impostor' Yuno come from anyways?

They should air two episodes for once. ;_;

This clinghanger is really stupid and pointless. Yes, Yukki gets surprised after hearing that the Yuno is an impostor, but just a one second later he doesn't really care about it. And yet people as are fussed about it. Well, that's the director's fault. *sigh*

I hated the censoring as always, but overall, epic episode indeed. <3 I loved the way Yuno was running with her psychotic face on, also her short fight with Eighth's kid was very dynamic and brought some tension in - That's why I think I prefer it from the manga version.
Also, Yukki's face expression while he came in to the meeting *like a BOSS* was much better handled in the anime. Looked more badass, at least for me. (And yes, I was squealing. /shotdead)

Please stop complaining about Yukki becoming badass too fast. He has just been traumatized by his parents' death, and he still wants to create a happy world by becoming a God. Amano, indeed, grew some balls and is much more emphatic. He has firm beliefs and targets he setted for himself, it shows how he became a little bit more independant. Now, he started to co-oporate with Yuno very well and he slowly, unnoticably falls in love with her for real. Before, Yukki didn't do a sh!t and Yuno was the one protecting him. Not anymore.

Yes, you can learn how to drive pretty quickly. Yukki's diary already predicted the fact, that the Mayor will be in the car, so he could assume that he'll need to have some driving lessons, even if it's only reading things from internet.

End off.

5/5 for this episode. It was very exciting. <3

The manga was way better than this. In my opinion, the scene where Yuki appears with Yuno could have been more dramatic and better than that. And then there's the censor of Yuno cutting that person, which I understand but still...

one of the best episodes, i am not really interested again! i wonder what the hell is going on with the current Yuno being an "imposter" is she possibaly a clone, or some thing to do with time travel maybe she actually became a god, but then came back in time to make Yukki a god, maybe?

She came from an orphanage right? Maybe she was from a set of twins, and those parents only took in one of them... and this crazy Yuno comes in and kills her to try and take her place?

Oh I don't even know... I could come up with a theory about her being a robot of some sort and it would probably make about as much sense as any. x-x;

Horrendous direction, I thought that Naoto Hosoda was improving as time went by but it seems I was mistaken. Well, nothing much to say about this episode, it relied on the base material but didn't adapt it well (but of course the ridiculous budget the studio has doesn't allow them to make it that much better).

Sakae Esuno is a male by the way (which should be obvious seeing the tone of the story but well).

Why? The story itself is great. It's the characters who act like there's a "most illogical person" contest going on which everyone wants to win. I'm not sure wether to give my vote to the police or Yukki...

Wow, great episode! And cliffhanger was very nice, but I bet it won't lead into anything since, as we all know, Yukiteru is quite forgiving. You can even kill his mother and he will forgive.

And somebody please get rid of Akise Aru, there's just something about him that really pisses me off.

The start of the episode was the best. I didnt expect Yukki to mature so fast showing up and acting the way he did at the gathering of users but then when all was said and done we find out that he memorized a script yuno wrote for him. I was laughing my ass off at that point. Still he actually kills people here and it doesnt seem to faze him.

So anyways Yuno is an imposter whom kills the real yuno and her parents? Was this before or after meeting Yuki in the class room?

I guessed something like that at the beginning of the show. So Yuno maybe has already won the game (or a game before that) and became god, but for some reason didn't like the way things turned out (maybe the 2nd ED is the result of that?), so she decided to recreate the game in order to set things right (and not have Yukki die?) and in order to do so, she had to kill herself in this "time"?
Sounds reasonable I think.

ummm why did she pull the gun away (allowing it to get shot out of her hands)?!?!?!?!? there should be only 3 owners left atm, but thanks to a dumb bitch there's 5

so yuno is some kind of impostor...this changes what exactly? they are still both trying to win a life or death game regardless of identity

this revelation better be mind blowing in order to justify that dumbassery...if i was yukiteru id be more pissed about her pulling the gun away than worried about whatever is about to get revealed

I just thought the same... well except the steins gate style (but it would be epic)
So.. if thats really what happened then
Yuno went back to the past and killed her old self (why the hell didn't she train her?!)
I mean IMAGINE 2 Yunos RAEPING the other diary users :D

But now that I think about it why did Yuno "check" if Yukki's parents are good people if she came from the future?
So that guess of her "future self" going to the past makes no sense at all~
I just wasted few minutes thinking about possible developments & I failed ;D

very good episode! i'd have to say yuno looked mighty fine in that black dress. i almost omochikaeri'd her. <3 and i have to say, i've grown to like this show intensely more now that yukiteru has manned up! i loved the show before, but now. ohohoho~ but now, i have a main character to be attracted to! woohoo!

i am totally excited for the next ep! and i want to find out who yuno really is. it was interesting to hear about the whole umbilical cord thing. was i the only one who thought of a twin? although, my skills at figuring things out and being smart when it comes to guessing things.. is very little. :c

To people who complain about Yuno not shooting when she had the chance, while this is not a real justification, 11th's diary seemed to have predicted that Yuno wouldn't shoot him, so he sort of knew he wasn't going to get killed at that moment. And unfortunately, Yuno couldn't change that prediction.

Awesome episode; and it was around the episode i predicted it would be, i guessed around 20 or so, give or take a episode and here it is, Yuki finally took a lesson in bad ass, granted its limited since the little entry was all based on script but he gets better as the fight vs 11th continues so while the ending should be interesting since some have speculated a original ending i really liked the chapters before the ending as i thought it was among the best arcs for the series since so much is revealed and Yuki actually does something for once.
