Not sure why it matters who kills her?

I don't think it does, but Kusanagi was trying to change his fate by killing her instead of protecting her.

It doesn't matter who kills her, but if she dies outside the special "ceramic shield" thing the tree Aragami had her in, her death would have killed all the Aragami instantly. Kusanagi wanted to kill her outside the shield because he wants the Aragami to die, but he liked Momiji so he was wavering between killing her and protecting her.

So, they both wanted her dead, for different reasons and under different circumstances, but one wasn't sure he wanted her dead and the other only wanted her to die under special circumstances.

Kinda confusing, I know!

If it is so important to the nation, do they really only have a team of 4 people monitoring it? That didn't convince me much. Maybe the government didn't really know if it was true or not, or didn't give it the importance it required. We are not in the Second World War, says the Prime Minister.

I like this political view, lets see if they go on more with this stuff.

Curious that both sisters were separated. Who had the decision? Because the older sister knew.

How do monsters arise? They are plant mutations, but what are the conditions? Are they asleep and should they smell or listen to something from their princess? Or the mention of her name?

On the other hand, the monsters made a character to protect her, so that humans wouldn't sacrifice her to kill the monsters. So the monsters depend on her in some sense? It's still something strange. >> Maelstrom184 thanks for the answer.
