Actually makes me think if AkiP is actively trying to oust Minoru without attempting to expose/embarrass him.

But in one of earlier chapters (I don't remember which one) AkiP mentioned that Minori is interesting addition to AKB, because he brings different feeling/aura (or something like this) because he knows that he's the guy and none of female AKB members can copy this. So honestly... I don't think that's the reason.

I also remember this statement but if he's using Minori as a catalyst to push AKB48 even further, wouldn't it be too risky if Minori fails? Unless of course, he has a good amount of faith that Minori will always power through.

Well for me it's some form of tough love from AkiP - he expects ALOT from all AKB members to the point of pushing them to the extreme, but I don't think he has any ill intent towards Minori. So for me second point is true one, especially knowing this is shounen manga, where something like trust/friendship/love/etc. are mandatory points and world is more idealistic then normally. And I don't think AkiP is the type to run away from sinking ship in case Minori true identity would be discovered, I just don't feel like he's the type IMO.

Unrealistic demands do require unrealistic that would appeal to shounen readers. I find it slightly difficult to swallow though due to the non-fictional elements in this manga.

Isn't that pretty stupid? First giving them an impossible task to get in and then giving them an impossible task to stay in? I think they've already shown that they can do it as regular members. Ig you just try to drag out a good manga as long as possible at some point.
