Last edit: Now that I watched again, that SolarBeam looked like a "Kame hame ha"!!! And Team Rocket is entering the game's plot, about the dreams. |

| Of course Pikachu is going to lose. I think they're doing that to show that its not all about "levels" and type-advantages. Yes, pika would be well over a level good enough to defeat the Elite 4 by himself, but the show wouldn't be as great if all Satoshi used was the electric rat. :/ I <3 Mijumaru. | Jesus, why are the battles so strange in the pokemon anime. Whenever you see an advantageous type fight the weaker type, it's almost gauranteed that the weaker type will win. That said, go Mijumaru :P |
| Am I the only one that noticed Miyano Mamoru voiced Dent? I Squee'd so hard when he spoke. I actually like Dent quite a bit, so far he doesn't seem to have any annoying traits (unlike Brock) and seems like a very good voice of reason character replacement. Though maybe Dent'll be the opposite of Brock and have to run from girls rather than chase them---judging from the cheerleaders. Best Wishes is such a refreshing season, I haven't enjoyed Pokemon this much since Kanto. |

| I decided to go ahead and watch this show. I usually wouldn't do something like this since I haven't seen all the previous episodes. I haven't seen any of the last season and I haven't seen many episodes of the season before that. I think Iris is the main reason I decided to see this, and also the fact that it's kinda like a new beginning. Now regarding this episode, it's ok. I'm amazed at how weak pikachu is though. I want ash to go pick up his ultra powerful charizard and show everyone how powerful he really is. Oh well...I guess he'll get powerful again eventually. Maybe one day I'll look at all the previous pokemon episodes I had missed...but the number of episodes doesn't make me want to start anytime soon. I do kinda feel like I missed out though. |

| Pikachu took out two legendary pokemon in the past but it loses to a puny water monkey... how long after the last pokemon league were they on a break for? 50 years? Battle experience seems to have dropped that much. |
| If people wonder why Best Wishes suck, show them this episode. Ash is a shit trainer, always saying that he wants to win the league and become a pokemon master, but purposely using a pokemon against the opponent with type advantage, have Pikachu lose to a water type, abusing volt tackle when it should not have been used (and people say volt tackle failed Ash, Ash failed Pikachu is more like it). It is like he does not know how to use Pikachu no more. Tepig's victory is complete bullshit and forced, Pikachu's loss is also forced, and I hope Oshawott wouldn't win, otherwise it's like Ash is making fun of the gym and the Unova league, winning without using his brain. Hopefully I can finish Best Wishes without suffering any brain damage from Ash's stupidity. whatever the fuck happened to Sinnoh's Ash |
