 The Jump Super Stage for Chainsaw Man announced an anime sequel at Jump Festa 2026 on Sunday, revealing a teaser promo and teaser visual (pictured). The sequel will debut under the title Chainsaw Man: Shikaku-hen (Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc).Produced by animation studio MAPPA, the first season adapting Tatsuki Fujimoto's action fantasy manga aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2022. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime with subtitles and later released an English dub. The Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze-hen (Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc) sequel opened in theaters in Japan on September 25 and in North American theaters on October 24, grossing over 9.62 billion yen (approximately US$61 million) in domestic box office and US$175 million worldwide. Fujimoto began drawing Chainsaw Man in Weekly Shounen Jump in December 2018 and ended its first part with 97 chapters in December 2020. The second part launched in Shounen Jump+ in July 2022. Shueisha published the 22nd volume on September 4. VIZ Media simulpublishes the manga on its Shounen Jump platform and released the 19th volume on October 7, with the 20th volume scheduled for an March 3, 2026 release. Shueisha's Manga Plus service also simulpublishes the manga in English, Spanish, Thai, French, and Portuguese. | Along with Ao no Hako and Haikyuu, this was what I was hoping for most. Continuation! Could be a movie since they haven’t marketed it as S2, but hey, with the success of Reze-hen, it makes total sense. |
