it's not fair at all, but the sumerians think they are entitled to earth because they have nowhere else to go. It was wild seeing Maru's true nature, here I was thinking Cross would be the crashout and stand by his people's culture, but instead it was Maru.

Conflict was created because Cross was shot, thanks to Cross they were ready to accept difference between kalyans and curse spirits but escalation stopped this from happening.
And we can talk about stuff like "they need to understand" but in the end sumerians see cursed spirits as kalyans and they have almost the same reaction to their death as to kalyans, which is painful to them. And this isn't that simple to overcome... in worst case this could be even involuntary biological respond and theoretical new generation of sumerians born on earth knowing difference would still cry after seeing curse being exorcised.




Maru said it clearly, they technically could go somewhere else but they already spend 2 years before finding Earth, so they don't want to leave Earth and risk not finding new habitable planet and everyone dying from starvation and dehydration.


And overall they are so demanding because they literally have Dabura who if he really wanted could easily conquer whole Japan. While as for now we honestly don't know if Yuji can defeat Dabura... there is a reason why everyone is thinking about nuking him.

@SSJ_King yeah the crash out is valid and all but on a general level, the sumerians have to understand that curses are a threat on earth.
They gotta adjust to that
