I've always wished for Stripperella to be an anime instead of a comic cartoon.

And why is that exactly? It looks perfectly fine as a cartoon to me.

@geberim I'm assuming you're replying to my comment😅, my reason is a change of animation style that's all, I know the cartoon is absolutely fine I just think it would also be cool as an anime too

I like everything to be what it is, but think Thundercats should be considered anime since it was animated in Japan.
But if they want to call it a western cartoon than sure we'll take it. It looks better than most of the crap we made in that era.

@Sasori56483 That already exists. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1082/Hikari_to_Mizu_no_Daphne

Satoshi Shiki took heavy inspiration from Aeon flux to make Daphne in the Brilliant Blue.

As much as I love it...Dino-Riders.

I think if it was an Anime, the art continuity would be so much better. For some reason episodes 1 and I think 3 or 4? look absolutely amazing (and look the same as eachother), but the rest of the episodes have quite terrible art. Before I got the DVD set I'd only seen 2 episodes, and I was gobsmacked at how different it was almost every episode. It was like several different studios were working on it at the same time and/or they lost the designs and were working on memory.
Just look at how different the T-rex is here from the first episode at the top of my post....

And also I just think having story continuity would also be good, as the episodes are all very loose and just have random battles.

ATLA. The show was great from a writing standpoint, but the animation was never its strong suit and the action sequences would've looked a lot better if animated like a real anime instead of just a wannabe one.

@SuperAdventure

By that logic we should consider Batman TAS, Spawn, The Adventures of Galaxy Rangers and a lot of other animated series of the 90s as anime.

Getting animated in Japan is not enough for a series to be called anime, it should also be completely or largely produced in Japan.

@Early_Morning

You completely ignored the effort went into animating the action scenes in ATLA and how great they actually look. If you want to be an animation elitist that is fine but don't look down on a production that is actually pretty great looking.

Did you know the X-Men series had anime openinigs exclusive to Japan. It would have been amazing if the whole episodes were animated like this.

Gravity Falls is one I'd like to see. If it's anything like that one fan animation, it would be a great choice.

@geberim

I was just thinking about these, I LOVE the animation in the Japanese X-Men intros. They honestly capture Jim Lee's designs in a much smoother way than the actual show did where the animation could be really stiff at times. The 90's series is still great as is due to the strong storytelling, but the Japanese intros really capture what I like about the Claremont-Lee era aesthetic. Would've loved to also Spider-Man '94 done up like that as it also has some stiff animation and wonder how it could've looked with some more McFarlane-esque inspiration for the art style as I am sure the Japanese could've been able to do that
This post is brought to you by your local transfem gamer goblin. Will not tolerate bigotry and will fight against "anti-woke" sentiment to make the anime community a safer place.

Wakfu and Avatar. Used to watch it when I was younger. Also, SHAFT should continue making RWBY, because that one season they did was not half bad.

if you mean adapting an existing cartoon to anime...

I wouldn't wish that on anything

were that to ever happen japan would just pervert it into a mess of moronic tropes and moeshit, and most likely set it in muh gakkou

I tried watching Miraculous Ladybug and I didn't care for it, I think it would be better as an anime like originally planned. Also RWBY should have been sold to and continued in Japan the moment Monty died.

@geberim Argument? I stated in my first post that animation from Japan should be considered anime. You complained and made no counter besides saying that by using logic that would make many other series animated in Japan also anime. Yes, it does (duh). This may be a surprise to you- but that's what the Japanese call it. That includes Batman.
Are you now going to say the sky can't also be blue over there, or what?

Japanese call Tom and Jerry anime too, by your great logic should we consider it anime as well?

@geberim This is a strawman- I never said for animation done in the west to be considered anime by westerners, only that made in Japan.

I don't know about "instead", but there is stuff I think would be cool as an anime. Ben 10 is pretty high up there. A Scooby Doo series set in Japan with actual yokai and stuff might be interesting. A retelling of Samurai Jack done by a Japanese studio could be cool. And, random pull, because I've never really watched any version, but Thundercats. I've seen the 2011 version of Cheetara, and I can only imagine how she'd look if Japan got a hold of her.
