That girl was never a real fan, let’s be honest. Step aside.. Shin still carries the Sakamoto fanboy torch with pride. What cracks me up is how painfully late everyone was in realizing that the round dad-bod guy, who looks less like an assassin and more like a “buy one, get one free” lunch deal, was in fact Sakamoto himself lol. But hey, you know, without him, half these kids would’ve been six feet under ages ago. Meanwhile yes, Uzuki just strolls away with the actual win, while Sakamoto and Shin are still blissfully clueless about it xD As for the arc, solid stuff. This was the moment the manga stopped being “fun retired hitman antics” and went full throttle into the real deal. The animation, though… yeah, still operating on that budget diet, very much like the first season. But we move. Honestly, the funniest part is how all this madness wrapped up with Sakamoto flunking the exams like some washed-up student and ending up undercover at JCC as a female teacher lmaoo... and somehow hotter than 90% of the actual female cast. Still, I like these characters, and I know the stuff coming after this arc is going to hit harder. So, really hope we get that season 3 announcement next week when it airs on TV... if that post credit scene does actually suggest something, I mean. |

Shinaya's tragedy certainly beset the JCC transfer exam early, and Sakamoto comes one of the "students" to pass the exam, though at the behest of Toramaru seeing the latter as the fatso and not the handsome hitman she's come to know of. Of course, this is unknown to the real person who's desperate need, but he's intel when dealing with Slur, and Kaji linking up with the fact that the organization is recruiting people to their side. And even obvious enough, is the defeat of Slur, not before "recruiting" both Toramaru and Mafuyu to their side without any notice. The Order getting the same news thereafter, as much as Slur develops its extra lineup of members introducing themselves to both prodigies, putting them on arrears. At least Shin passed, but Sakamoto forgot his name on the theory exam portion, or more rather, the JCC policy that anyone with a bounty on their hard cannot be part of the academy. If the student way cannot be done, Nagumo's recommendation that he enter as a teacher instead, it's also possible for the internship to be entered...by his wife? Or...more like Sakamoto disguising himself as a woman to find the databank within 24 hours, and Shin infiltrating JCC at it too. Part 2 is solid than its premiere, hope that we'll get the announcement for Season 2 next week to continue with the adaptation of the manga's serious nature. |

Yea they’ll never make me hate the sakadays anime. Ton of action in this season and set up for the coming battle against Slur’s group. Animation isn’t crazy, but I watch this for the characters. I love the family dynamic between Sakamoto and his crew, new characters like Mafuyu and Toramaru make you feel like you’ve known them forever and the comedy landed for me. Good way to wrap up the season and I can’t wait to see how the JCC arc goes next season. Hopefully we get more Osaragi next season tho lol. Crossdressing Taro kinda got me acting a lil strange ngl lol, and I’m so proud of my boy Shin for getting the top score on the exam. I feel like this arc is really gonna be his coming out party based on the previews in the post credits scene. The fact he was more upset about Sakamoto “failing” than happy about him getting the top score tells you all you need to know about him. Great dude and friend. |

Second cour's story goes all in on the fighting but passes up on any comfy family moments people might have hoped for. Animation has noticeably improved over first cour, in that the studio's learned some tricks aside from "Extreme Slow Motion Punch!" My personal favorite moment was Sword Guy versus Slur, and I think the exam arc went on for too long and introduced too many characters. 7/10, same as first cour. If there's another season at some point, I'll be sure to come back and watch Shin job out some more. Osaragi best girl. |

Eagerly waiting for season 2 announcement . Easily my favorite this season. And we got the teaser for season 2? This adaptation made me laugh so many times, I'm so grateful for it. This series isn't really ground-breaking, but it doesn't need to be. Comedy is king. No matter who you are, a good laugh always helps. This episode was decent, I'm deeply satisfied. It wrapped up the JCC exam, allowed everyone to settled a little but, then jumped straight into the next arc to give us something to look forward to. We will be there day 1 for season 2. Shin being a karen was pure gold. Score 8/10 @ MAL. Finished on 17th September 2025 at 16:26 Hrs IST. |

And that's the end of Sakamoto Days Season 1. A second season will most likely happen since the manga is incredibly popular and mainstream, seeing that the manga is the 19th best selling manga of 2024, which pretty much guarantees at least a second season, and probably a complete adaptation eventually. Was expecting an announcement of season 2 straight away, but I guess we have to wait a while for it to be announced. |

Lmao. Toramaru's reaction to fat Sakamoto was about what I expected. But tbh I thought she'd be way more mad. She ended up being a fake fan after all. But it'd be cool if at some point she became a Sakamoto fangirl again accepting Sakamoto's fatness and all. Shinaya got paid at least. It seems like he wasn't an assassin at all but just a regular ass guy who was really strong for some reason. Mafuyu and Toramaru got kidnapped. Also, that film director teacher was a traitor all along? Anything for cinema, I guess. I really liked Mafuyu and even Toramaru's development. Shame they're going to return as villains but it'd be cool to see at least. Sakamoto infiltrating JCC as a teacher makes way more sense. But him going in the disguise of his wife is so hilarious, I didn't see that coming at all. But if JCC is so advanced and all shouldn't it have some type of DNA screening or something that should reveal Sakamoto's identity? Whatever. JCC seems like a brutal "school". I wonder if Akira can even survive without help. The next arc should be interesting. But the post-credits scene was just confusing. Is Season 2 confirmed or not? There was no text saying it was like it should be. But considering how Sakamoto Days was one of the most watched anime on Netflix I think it's only a matter of time. I enjoyed this show. Maybe the animation wasn't the best but I still had fun with it and I have no problem watching another season being done by the same studio. My overaall opinion on this series probably wouldn't change that much even if it had fancier animation anyway. |

So this episode ended the entrance exam arc, and we got to see a bit of the JCC arc that is coming up next. So the ones that Slur ended up recruiting really were Mafuyu and Toramaru, although it was against their will. So Gaku found that these 2 "weren't bad", which is kind of confusing, considering that the ones that gave him a fight were Shin and Kaji, but ok I guess. Now Slur also knows about Taro's plan to get more information about him from JCC. Mafuyu seemed to be really hurt at the end, I suppose he was hurt by the fact he wasn't able to be as strong nor as determined to be better as Shin. And Toramaru also found out that her idol is not fat, and gets ashamed of herself for that making her think less of Sakamoto. I suppose that they are going to use these motives to make them work for Slur. I wonder how this is going to affect the environment between them and SHin and the rest of the group. Also, KILL BABY DID IT! His hard worked payed off. After so many years of trying, he finally gets into JCC. Really happy for my boy Shin for being the 1st in the class! He suffered quite a lot this season, so that's worth it. But I'm really happy to see some character development from Shin, after that "origins" arc, that was really underwhelming. Also, he be reading the 2nd volume of "Sakamiti Days" in the school's bathroom, classes only started and he is already bailling out, gonna have to search for that manga too. But didn't Shin stop smoking after episode 1? He's shown this episode trying to smoke in the bathroom again (because it said in the book to do so), but I wonder if he just never stopped smoking. Also, Taro dressed up as his wife (done by Yoichi) really was something xD But if that only lasts for 24 hours, this JCC arc is going to be rather short, or at least not what I was expecting in terms of time within the anime. Overall, this 2nd part of season 1 was much more enjoyable than the 1st part in my opinion. The animation was consistently better than in the 1st part, and this JCC arc really stepped up the anime to a higher level. But we cannot forget the first arc with the death row inmates that was ok, but certainly not on the same level as this latest arc. The introduction of Slur and his group really made a difference, and I had much more fun watching this anime. Still, the animation still is inconsistent, and the story still isn't a big strength of the story, especially considering how unrealistic some scenes are. Also, they brought Apart to the story just to drop him midway. Like, what happened to him? I was expecting at least a little note, but no, after the confrontation between Slur and Taro, he just disappeared. So I'm giving this anime a 7/10, the same score I gave the 1st part, but this time around it's a much more "confident" 7, considering I gave the benefit of the doubt to the 1st part with that 7, that is a lower 7 than the 7 I'm giving to this 2nd part. If the story continues this way, with more character development, I would really appreciate it, but I'm not sure if that's the direction they are going for. Anyways, it was good while it lasted, and I'm sure going to miss watching Sakamoto Days on my Mondays to boost my mood, and I'm especially going to miss that opening, that is one of my favorites from the year! We also got a short trailer after the ending of what's to come, and it seems Shin is going to be able to use some kind of invisibility gadget like Natsuki from season 1, so we'll probably see him again next time. It does seem we are getting a 2nd season of this, which I'm grateful now, since I'm invested in Taro and Shin's story! Edit: Forgot to mention, but I was surprise by how little of a role Rion had in this season, considering how in the trailer they gave a big importance to her. |

©2025 LaczPro What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway). And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea). |

So Mafuyu and Nao seem to be joining the enemies, or maybe idk. I hope so because I really like them and wanna see more of them. Taro becoming his wife was kinda random but idk whatever to get the plot going I guess. Idk why they couldn't have just had him go under a new name. Like dude no ones gonna know since he's fat. I think overall this season was a huge step forward from the first. The first part honest to god just felt like a really boring version of SpyXFamily. Which I mean im not a huge fan of that anime to begin with. Though this show has way better characters than that anime. however the second part was way better. Felt way more investing and interesting with tons of vibrant and interesting characters. Honestly a little too many for my stupid ahh to handle. Though the animation didn't feel much different, we got a few decent fights here and there though. The animation is by no means bad but its not great either. As for my wants for if we get a season 2. I mainly just wanna see more of Nao, Mafuyu and Lu. Like I don't see a reason why Lu couldn't have come along. Im guessing either the author has other plans for her. If not then the author was probably to lazy to give her a purpose. Same with the sniper guy honestly. Overall a VERY low 8/10 |

So in the end they decided to pass everybody… except for Taro because he has a bounty on his head. I thought that Shin had a bounty as well. Did it go away because he and Lu defeated Saw, and the other serial killers are dead, or is this referring to the bounty that Taro had BEFORE Slur or Uzuki or X gave him one? I’m guessing that’s the case, but didn’t Shin also have one after he chose not to kill Taro? If so, maybe it’s simply because Shin is significantly less famous as an assassin. That explains how Shin finished at the top of the class, because we all knew under normal circumstances he would have been second at best. It seems that Kanaguri is undercover within the order and his true allegiance is to Slur, and we meet Carolina Reaper and Club Jam, and they’ve kidnapped Nao Taromaru and Mafuyu Seba attempting to recruit them. Since Gaku couldn’t see Akira in action, it is possible that she could have been “recruited” in the case that she was involved. Also it seems that Kashima will be rushing to erase any information that Japan Clear Creation has on Uzuki while Shin and Taro are racing to attain such information, especially since Taro’s disguise will only last 24 hours, so they gotta do this fast. Akira shows up late to her close quarters combat class, but she locks in when the teacher forces her to spar with Assassination Major, Jumbo Tanishi and she is about to clap his cheeks, but Taro in disguise steps in as an Intern. Shin is just hanging out in the bathroom and quickly claps some dude’s cheeks (NO HOMO) and we’re gonna see a lot more next season! |

If I had to guess, that wasn't possible because the JCC would have done their research to figure out that was a fake name, hence why Taro didn't try using an alias to begin with. The reason he's able to disguise as Aoi is because he looks like her and she's a real person, she everything would check out. Crazy that you assumed that there was a fandom for this average Adaptation Most of the fights in this cour was meant to be hyped but other than Uzuki vs Sakamoto vs Takamura All the Action lacked sauce and the production still uses Speedlines and impact frames in a lot of what meant to be sakuga cuts along with too much slo mo and the effects and sound design is still doing the heavy lifting Like Seriously not one episode throughout these 2 cours really stood out in terms of Production or Saukga that the manga is know for, the trailer was pure bait, The Takamura Cuts were decent but anything else just looks kinda lifeless As a Shonen Jump Adaptation this is a pure failure compared to the success of Chainsawman and Dandadan Compared to Rental GF and Dr.Stone this feels low priority for TMS this season I give this Cour a Low 7 due to the ep I pointed and Shin vs masked on plane that was the best cut throughout both of these Cours If a S3 does come it needs to change directors because he is not suited for series that is action heavy like this switch studios because it's not making any motion compared to dandadan |

That's a fair question considering that Taro didn't try going into the JCC Transfer Exam with a fake name, but I assume that similar to how in the U.S. we have social security numbers to identify citizens (and I'm assuming Japan has something similar), that simply looking like Aoi is enough and the JCC won't bother doing further testing. |

Did Sakamoto just get feminizing surgery?
Wait, this is a final episode? I know there'll definitely be a sequel but "when" is also an equally important question.

@phantomfandom No, Yoichi just gave him a disguise, like how he can disguise himself as whoever he wants (he's even disguised himself as Aoi before). |

Come on Sakamoto, she was literally in the middle of parrying that on her own.
Sakamoto Days 2! I ran out of things to say again.

Crossdressing it when someone wears clothing that's associated with the opposite gender (male with female clothes, and vice versa). Yoichi has physically transformed Taro via a disguise so he looks just like Aoi. |

So season 1 part 2 ends here, just like this? The ending isn’t an epic scene or something that leaves us curious, it’s just ordinary. It feels like there’s nothing to distract us or make us look forward to season 2. |
