Damn what a monster.

I think it's safe to say that this episode gave Nube a run for his money. Might be his most powerful opponent he has ever faced so far and it happens to be someone he formerly knew.

You’d think that after all the times he saved his students, they’d learn to trust him when he acts against a threat, instead he’s too busy being blocked by girls thinking with their downstairs brains more than anything

Nube and that fox doctor Tamamo are so shippable, also a reminder that they're the only two characters that have the same voice actor as the 1996-1997 version.

HONESTLY I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I HEARD TAMAMO WAS COMING BACK!!!!! This is an epic comeback for him and I can't wait how his rivalry with Nube is gonna play out in Cour 2. I got sad for the dog in this episode (animal lover right here) but another 2 part episode with Tamamo I'm ready but please show like Nube's past before the first cour is over and bring back Yukime again.

@phantomfandom YOU AREN'T WRONG! Yep! Nube is voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya from Bleach, Toriko from TORIKO) and Tamamo is voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa (Sephiroth from Final Fantasy, Dante from Devil May Cry). Honestly as much I ship Yukime x Nube (main pairing of the series) I don't mind Nube x Tamamo, better than Ritsuko (Dont get me wrong love her though)

Damn Tamamo really came back and fucked shit up immediately, it seemed like there would actually be a bit of downtime before he did something since he proposed a temporary truce with Nube, but nah Tamamo put those kids in extreme danger at the first chance he got lol, I guess Nube’s demon hand is that intriguing to him. It was funny how Miki and some of the others girls were all over Tamamo tho, I had a good laugh when Miki got wiped out by another girl when Tamamo walked into the classroom lol.

But Tamamo wasn’t the only threat to worry about in this one, we also have this weird hell fish monster that’s using the kids as a source of spawning more of its kind, the color of the substance is a bit sus but it poses a very terrifying threat after we saw what happened to that dog. And you’re telling me this monster can just regenerate no matter how much damage it takes? Poor Nube has it rough here, he’s gotta protect all these kids and take on such a strong monster, not sure how he’s gonna win but I’m sure it’ll make for a great finale for the cour next week, assuming we’re stopping at 12 because MAL doesn’t have a set number atm lol.

Wasn't expecting Tamano to just literally launch a wall of fire at elementary kids right after saying he wanted a truce lol

The finale arc to Cour 1's remake series, it wouldn't feel right without Tamamo making his return for revenge on Nube, though he isn't interested in Hiroshi anymore.

For a start, Tamamo as the school's physician has developed quite the popularity on the unsuspecting girls, but to Ryoko, she knows that he's trouble, more than the already suspecting teacher would ever know of him from the start, only to reignite the fuel once again with the students in mortal danger.

On the other hand, while Tamamo's fox fire jutsu gives Nube a run for his demonic hand, the fish spirit demon Remugyo infiltrating the school with its fog is causing a much bigger problem to not just Nube, but the students as well.

The fearsomeness of the Remugyo, what a detriment to the demon exorcist.

We seriously got a flying penis monster that sprays its white fluids out of its crotch in this episode!? Never seen shit like this.

Tamamo has respawned but now his obsession has switched to Nube. But while he was toying with Nube a new threat appears that is seemingly immortal. How will Nube defeat these threats? It feels like this is the cour climax which is about right for the timing. But we don't know how many episodes have been greenlit.

The animation on Tamamo's resurrection was sick.

You'd think everyone would be able to tell something's up when chill "friendly neighborhood guy" Nube gets on edge as soon as he meets a person they've never met before. Looks do matter, I guess.

Best episode of the show up to this point. Having an intelligent scheming villain with an objective makes a world of difference.

This episode adapted chapters 13 and 14. Also, 1,500 people have dropped this anime, which only has 20,700 members. So 7.2% of people have dropped it. Remove the people who have this in their Plan to Watch list (as they haven't actually watched the show) and it's more accurate to say that 16.1% of people have dropped it. Now that's a lot. More percentage of people have dropped this than Yaiba (2025), which 13.3% of people have dropped that show. Also, only 7.8% of people have dropped Lazarus (again, excluding the ptw members), which despite having a lower MAL rating than Yaiba (2025), more percentage of people dropped Yaiba (2025) than Lazarus.

@Chalc_ Not a penis monster, but a giant interdimensional fish monster laying a clutch of its eggs in the mortal plane.

@ajw215799 Miki squealed like a fangirl at a convention or a groupie at a boy band concert. Not surprising, but still unpleasant. Less creepy than the manga, I imagine, from what I've skimmed of chapters featuring Miki and Tamamo

@pixelante I'd bet around 13, it'd match up with the end of the season, though if the next episode is focused on the threat we saw here, it could wrap things up and we'll have to wait until Winter 2026 for part 2

Ofc that shitty fox is back and now Nube's the bad guy. These ungrateful brats. Also I take back, Ritsuko can go fuck herself.

The situation looks hopeless, what can Nube do?
