In another world Shin and fangirl might become friends since they both like Sakamoto, but this girl is way too obsessed, she sees him as a god. That’s just asking for trouble, Shin. Rule one: never make a yandere mad. At least it didn’t take long to deal with her. Honestly, Shin should’ve let her drown lol. Good thing Gaku showed up and knocked her out.

Gaku didn’t waste time, he started taking people down one after another. He’s crazy strong, even in another body... or maybe these testers just aren’t that good. Hard to tell when anyone can lose so fast. Not even surprised it ended up being Gaku’s puppet fighting everyone in the end.

Well this was nonstop action and it was fucking awesome. Shin’s fight with Toramaru was really fun and I love how they basically came to an agreement to form a Sakamoto fanclub by the end. I wonder what she’s gonna think of the current Sakamoto being the total opposite of the emotionless coldhearted killer she started stanning lol.

It’s really funny that what was likely a 30 second interaction when she was a little kid ended up defining her life to such an extent. She improved her social skills, appearance etc all in an effort to prepare herself to see Taro again lol. “You can have the title of number one fan” yea even tho Shin doesn’t wear it like Toramaru does, he’s indubitably the greatest Taro disciple. I think it’s cool we’ve got a trio with Shin, Toramaru and Mafuyu going now similar to the one Sakamoto had at school as well. I don’t think that’s a coincidence lol.

Nerf Gaku please! Dude is way too OP lol. It wouldn’t be a shonen battle exam arc without a villain somehow sabotaging the exam and the students having to fight em off. The fact buddy took out the examiners while controlling a body like a damn video game is crazy. I can’t wait to see how shin and his new squad deal with this next week.

Also curious about what happened to Rin and why her niece is looking for her!

Toramaru has an unhealthy obsession with Sakamoto but can't really blame her. The man is a legend and she had actually made her life better in her own way through that hard core fangirling, haha
Glad that Shin and Toramaru were able to get along. Never expected Shinaya to be remotely controlled by Gaku lol

They really stepped it up in every way possible with this part, Shin vs Nao was so good. I hope characters like Akira, Mafuyu and Nao we see more in the future their all awesome. Seems like Gaku is really gonna be a problem moving foward, just casually whooping everyone. Unless Takamura is here he seems kinda unstoppable.

I find it kinda silly though that Taro's just on the other side of the island chilling with Akira while basically everyone's dying on the other side.

also from Akira's words I guess she don't know what happened to Rion, I assume she's dead since we have never seen her once.

Oh so Akira is that woman's niece. I thought she was her daughter. And Rion is missing? What makes Akira think she can find her here? Does she think she still works here?

Damn this Sakamoto fangirl is crazy. But she's idolizing a version of Sakamoto who no longer exists. Now I'm really curious how she'd react to seeing fat Sakamoto. But after her fight with Shin it seems like she'd be more accepting of him.

Bruh is Shinaya even a real person or just a robot? Either way, using a tech like that in the middle of a jungle on a remote island is impressive. It's too OP.

Loved the episode, especially the fight between Shin and Nao. Just as they were about to become friends, after Shin came out victorious, Gaku had to ruin everything for no reason whatsoever. Like, isn’t the deer telling you to recruit people? So why are you obliterating them?

I can’t wait to see how this plays out. Nao seemed fine despite getting punched by Gaku, which is good. And now the germaphobe is finally joining the fight, teaming up with Nao to defend Shin from Gaku’s attack. Gaku’s about to get ganged up on, I can’t wait to see how it unfolds!

I feel Sakamoto's fangirl reaction meeting real Sakamoto in exam will be hilarious. With how obsessed she is, she's either gonna end up joining the gang (which i think has less chances as she is here to become full time assassin) or straight up hating Sakamoto whole family including Shin, Lu and Bird guy since they are always with sakamoto and she can't be.
Authentic.

The first battle was nice. The contrast in the characters viewpoints as they fought and the reconciliation of sorts at the end was good.

The thing with Gaku was an interesting "twist", but it feels really dumb too. Does anyone actually believe that this random guy they found is this strong to one shot all of these proctor people with ease? Except he cannot do it to the characters that actually matter, ofc. Can't kill off any characters you want to keep around lol. You cannot transfer strength, agility, etc. through VR, just the battle experience of the user. It's not the worst case of writing, but it just adds to the pile of questionable decisions for this series. It does create an interesting loophole around Shin's ability, which is likely why it was executed in this fashion, but it still strikes me as ridiculous excuse in order to "recruit" people in this manner. It doesn't seem like this guy can talk through his VR, so how are you going to "recruit" people into your organization when you can't say anything? It isn't reasonable to recruit them later once they're in the JCC program itself imo, otherwise why go through such a roundabout method like this?

Shin is and will always be Sakamoto’s number one fan. Nao never stood a chance against him—there’s just no beating a guy who lives with his idol.

Gaku is absolutely insane. It’s wild how he uses the examiners themselves as weapons and wipes out everyone. But wasn’t his mission supposed to be recruiting young talent for Slur? Oh well. At this point, the only one who can stop him is Sakamoto—unless they find a way to shut down the robot he’s controlling remotely.

Shin vs Toramaru my fav part of the arc so I'm so glad it was done right!! seriously the first half of this ep is fun asf. Second half has noticably worse animation, backgrounds, everything really. Did not sell Gaku's presence to me at all... I'd be mad but we have alot more of this fight to go so I'm sure they'll make up for it :P

cool scene at the end (cmon Taro everyone is dying on the other side of the island XD)

Well I understand why the episode has the title that it does.

It seems that Toramaru and Shin share a common interest in Taro Sakamoto. However, Toramaru is a little bit obsessed. Because of Taro, she learned how to communicate, do makeup, and better her life overall as a result of him saving her life one time, and she loves the old Taro, the one who would ruthlessly kill, but Shin respects and admires the CURRENT Taro, that does whatever it takes for his family and avoids killing whenever possible. Because these two versions are so different, Toramaru goes on a rampage and Shin again has to prove he can stand on his own two feet instead of relying on Taro. He uses the environment to his advantage and knocks her into the water.

However, her Taro doll gets stuck and she almost drowns, but Shin saves her because he wants to avoid killing. Kaji was funny in how he wanted to help, but is too shy to actually insert himself into these fights.

And then we find out that one of the Special Recommendations, Shinaya, is actually some kind of spy for Slur’s group and Gaku controls him with VR-like technology, accidentally taking his own tail off (because he didn’t understand the game) and getting Shinaya disqualified for attacking as a zombie. Now he’s going to fight Shin, Mafuyu, and Toramaru in the next episode and prior, he caused a lot of damage, using somebody’s body as both a shield and a projectile, and he skipped Ato like a rock across the water and I assume she’s dead now.

Damn this test probably ain’t like a normal one.

Also we see Lu, Heisuke, and Aoi talking whilst Taro’s group are heating fish and vegetables. Speaking of, we learn the full name of Taro and Yoichi’s friend is Rion Akao and Akira is her niece, meaning that Rion is her aunt.

@0451 I think Akira is becoming an assassin to get access to information and tools that she can use to find her.

Shinaya is a real person as we saw the dude talking beforehand, but he seems to also be working undercover with Slur's group to some extent, otherwise he wouldn't have this gear on.

since his job is to find young people they can hire, he's holding back on them and not holding back on the teachers. Also, Shin was already a pro assassin since 5 years ago when he was 16 so he's pretty strong, Mafuyu was shown to be above the level of the proctors, Toramaru is a special recommendation and is shown to be at their level of strength

I have to give props to Shin for being not only resilent but slowly catching up to Sakamoto. His fighting has improved and it shows with the way he was able to take out that girl. It was also a bit giggling seeing that Kaji is just too shy to talk.

Time for another battle, this time with a robot who was clearly giving his identity too much away.

Toramura's obsession on Sakamoto, while it may have been a mocking point for Mafuyu, even Slur's end is starting to engage as well.

Akira's twist of the moment being affiliated to the Akao family, more especially the niece trying to find her aunt Rion, what's her motive for doing so? On the other end, while Shin, Mafuyu and Kaji's escape against the obsessed Sakamoto fan takes her to quite the yandere level, that no level of slander will be taken for rounds of elimination wherever possible. Shin knows that and deals with her as best as he can with his psychics, while improving himself to stand independent from Sakamoto himself.

The one moment of the heart of compassion from Shin to save Toramaru, becomes quite the chilling moment with yet another recommended student of Shinaya, controlled by Gaku, and worse yet, interrogated by the pros. But whilie this is no problem from the teachers' end, Shin deciding to step up...or rather, both Mafuyu and Toramaru, Gaku's going to have quite the fight on his hands.

Even in VR, Gaku is still Gaku, and the JCC exam takes one step further into brutality.

Toramaru’s fight with Shin was really fun, lots of great animation in there too. And I like how it was a battle of gatekeeping for Toramaru lol, she was so happy to share her interest at first but Shin made her go rogue, but in the end Shin was able to tame her somewhat after he saved her thankfully, maybe Toramaru will be a Shin fan too by the end of this arc. Now I just wonder if/how she’s gonna find out what Sakamoto is like nowadays lol.

But then came Gaku in the VR avatar guy, he went absolutely sicko mode on those teachers, almost felt like a cartoon with how insane some of the kills were like how he twirled the woman around and sent her flying while doing several flips on the water, but what I’m wondering is if this Shinaya guy was his own person before Gaku took over, he must’ve been right? Because he was helping his team out before Gaku removed the sash by mistake, not sure exactly what’s going on there but I’m looking forward to seeing how Shin and the others manage to take on the juggernaut that is Gaku remotely controlling a dude. Meanwhile, Sakamoto is enjoying food by the fire lol.

damn gaku looks glorious in his VR set, though they didn't include the line about resident evil rip but the fighting style creativity was cool.

the kaji being shy bit was hilarious, the voice actor killed it. shinaya/gaku was going crazy. we got to hear rion's first name too. toramaru went from gatekeeping to trying to build the sakamoto community, checks out with how a real fan can be. she's unapologetically obsessed with sakamoto because she basically became normal all thanks to him, and i've always been a fan of sakamoto's portrayal as a god in her mind lmao.

@Trackmaster89 Despite your track record of bad faith nitpicks, I'll buy your argument that he's holding back to avoid killing off potential recruits (although clearly not every examinee), but the idea that these people that are hiding in an abandoned warehouse and a karaoke place while somehow having enough money to buy an exo suit powerful enough to give this random guy that makes him this strong is just as BS as your previous arguments in favor nonsense like explosion proof aprons. Why doesn't every random guy get this supposed exo suit alongside their explosion proof aprons if they are so easy to procure?

I didn't even mention how ridiculous it is that they somehow snuck this NPC through the JCC screening process for them to infiltrate the organization either. "Proven track record" sure guys lol. Might as well be a literal robot for Gaku to control given how brainless the guy apparently is, but that still suffers from the issue of how they could find or afford something so powerful in the first place or how it got through the screening process.

I mean the exo suit thing transfers movement, not give him strength, Kashima (cyborg deer guy) is the one who made it. Top assassins do have expensive high tech weapons(like Nagumo's weapon, Gaku's mace has a laser etc) they probably have stuff like bullet proof suits from John Wick but it's not worth explaining since they easily dodge/block bullets and the only real damage they take is from other strong characters

Random people can't get this stuff because they're expensive, Order members(who get paid alot) and people like slur(who has lots of influence) can of course get this kind of stuff

Slur had multiple spies at the JAA, sneaking someone into an exam isn't hard for him

@IzanaSolos It honestly works with Sakamoto Days' humorous aspects, since it could've just as easily been Toramaru in a more serious plot, Slur hoping to recruit her because she's so obsessive, or even just exploit that. I forgot that he was really involved, though I do remember vaguely about Gaku's involvement via that puppet mechanism that I guess Kashima implanted him with

2 more episodes left before this is a wrap.

@Seansy They do explain somewhat the realism of such a thing, kind of like a psychometrist in Tokyo ESP who could channel memories in objects, even something like a pair of nunchaku and thus do martial arts like Bruce Lee. But she was exhausted afterwards, didn't have anywhere close to an athlete's constitution or stamina

but the idea that these people that are hiding in an abandoned warehouse and a karaoke place while somehow having enough money to buy an exo suit powerful enough to give this random guy that makes him this strong is just as BS as your previous arguments in favor nonsense like explosion proof aprons. Why doesn't every random guy get this supposed exo suit alongside their explosion proof aprons if they are so easy to procure?
I mean the exo suit thing transfers movement, not give him strength, Kashima (cyborg deer guy) is the one who made it. Top assassins do have expensive high tech weapons(like Nagumo's weapon, Gaku's mace has a laser etc) they probably have stuff like bullet proof suits from John Wick but it's not worth explaining since they easily dodge/block bullets and the only real damage they take is from other strong characters

Random people can't get this stuff because they're expensive, Order members(who get paid alot) and people like slur(who has lots of influence) can of course get this kind of stuff

Seansy said:
I didn't even mention how ridiculous it is that they somehow snuck this NPC through the JCC screening process for them to infiltrate the organization either
Slur had multiple spies at the JAA, sneaking someone into an exam isn't hard for him

Seansy said:
Might as well be a literal robot for Gaku to control given how brainless the guy apparently is
Kashima did something to him and he's unconcious

I'm not going to rehash the entire stupid argument, but people can look at the episode 7 discussion to see for themselves. Arguing the definition of superhuman in relation to surviving falling from an airplane with no parachute for normal or "spiderman tough" people as you put it is ridiculous nitpicking.

Thanks for confirming that this random dude is somehow also as strong and fast as Gaku, because as I already pointed out previously:

Nobody can move as fast, hit as hard, etc. as Gaku himself unless their body is trained for it. Or I guess superhuman people just grow on trees in this world while somehow staying hidden from the rest of society? Must be daywalking vampires with mind control or something lol (FYI, yes that's a joke).

Lord have mercy, please tell me you are actually 12 like I suggested 2 weeks ago. At least this way I won't feel 2nd hand embarrassment for you anymore with how dumb these points are. I'll also stop mocking you too since I don't want to be bullying some kid on the internet over this nonsense.

Order members(who get paid alot)

Ironically enough, the series has gone out of its way to show the exact opposite of this. Current order members act like they barely have any money in the SoL scenes. Beyond the cost of Sakamoto's huge hidden armory from earlier, he was shown to be worried about money to keep paying the stores employees during this very episode. 1 giant hidden armory later the legendary hitman is struggling to pay the bills lol.

If he has so much "influence" why is he hiding out in an empty warehouse and a karaoke bar of all places? I'll give you a hint: It doesn't make sense because it's bad writing.

It would be easier to just accept that instead of arguing over it. You can still enjoy something with bad writing. I certainly have series I enjoy despite issues with the writing lol.

@TheColonel76 Gaku really strikes me as neurodivergent coded in some way, though his background could also just make him bordering on something more unfeeling and detached. He either forgot or didn't realize that all his motions are imitated by the other guy, so him eating bread is going to just be weird to everyone else on the island versus Kashima or Slur in person.

The lag part is a handicap, plus I feel like the idea is that if you can't even handle Gaku's attacks through a medium like this, you're not at the level Slur wants to recruit, Toramaru isn't dead, thankfully, so she might be considered on that basis versus, say, others involved in this fight.

Using Gaku as the measuring stick seems unfair, he's practically the Dragon of the group, a vice leader in the vein of Zoro from One Piece to Luffy. But they really don't have any of the other members that stick around later, Slur's group is such that the author really kind of played them pure chaos, only really following the thread of Slur's revolution at best, no real loyalty otherwise.

I feel like Shin's future sight could've been used here and then the time limit might've been emphasized when he tried to do it more after seeing it fail. Given the situation would mean the neurosynapses and such wouldn't be working consciously, more subconsciously, I feel like Shin wouldn't be able to see it on a basis entirely different than someone having increased kinetic vision and being able to move and react fast enough Shin's future sight won't work, like with Kanaguri

Damn RIP to those examiner. Atou being spun around and thrown into that Boulder was brutal.

Brutal episode overall.
@SoraSenpai Feels like it was subdued, though I imagine even the manga couldn't have shown what might've been a bit more realistic, where the sheer speed against the rocks wouldn't have just cracked the skull, or even shattered it, just utterly smashed any soft matter inside the skull. Which may have been why there was all the blood, but I'm thinking too much like a doctor or such. Physically, I feel like there'd be a lot more visible injury, like brain matter almost leaking out depending on how and where she hit her head on the rock face

I really wanna like this show, but it's just stupid at this point. Why even have fights at all when plot armor determines who is INVINCIBLE and for how long? Is this just another JO JO ripoff with less thought? The VR fight was beyond stupid. Even in this world, it felt retarded as hell. To each their own, I suppose.

On one side, there’s bloodshed going on… and on the other, Sakamoto, Akira, and Kill Baby are just camping out grilling fish. This is hilarious. XD

Looks like that twin-braided girl is gonna end up being friends with Shin and Mafuyu. Kinda curious how she’ll react once she finds out that Sakamoto’s actually human these days.
