The fact that Sakuta was able to catch the number just in a single glance back then and call Touko from a phone booth, for obvious reasons, to get an idea of what she’s up to and will do to Mai is actually hilarious. I mean of course, she's not going to tell. Though hey, why is it always that Mai has to get in danger to raise the stakes. Though that has worked for this series quite a bit, so I mean whatever.. also, can’t say the last arc with Akagi exactly improved things to an extent too for this season, so I think this was needed.

Mai and Sakuta really did deserve their full day date tbh, but hey, I ain't complaining much as you know, we wouldn’t have seen Touko in a non-santa outfit if it wasn’t for the date getting cut short and Sakuta meeting her. Still though, the conversation and stuff make things more puzzling. Touko really isn’t interested in harming Mai, but we know something might happen to her. As a matter of fact, Sakuta hangs out with a LOT of girls, so harm can actually come from a number of ways, if we think about it lol. I mean, the guy went on 3 dates sort of in a single episode.. so yeah. But yeah, pretty easy to doubt Himeji here.

“Find Touko Kirishima. Mai-san is in danger.” After reading the message sent to him via Ikumi from a version of himself in another possible world, Sakuta attempts to contact the mini-skirted Santa who calls herself Touko Kirishima. A few days later, he receives a phone call from the mini-skirt Santa saying that she’s willing to meet him—as long as it’s on December 2. That happens to be Mai’s birthday. Reluctantly canceling his birthday date with Mai, Sakuta meets with Touko. He tells her that her situation, being unrecognized by the people around her, might be Adolescence Syndrome, and tries to observe her behavior…

Seems like Sakuta is heading into a lot of trouble again and hopefully it will be worth it.
Mai being patient again but it was funny how we was showing her anger.
Hopefully things will work out os planned and Mai and Sakuta have a nice evening alone.
Himeji seems like trouble tho.

I'd be happy if every single episode contained at least a minute of Sakuta and Mai being the perfect green light couple together. Not just discussing the plot. It's hard not to love all the characters, but they have something you don't see in any other show.

really good episode. it cleared my fear about that mai is in danger message. so, now we know we do know that sakuta has some control and awareness of this mai and kirishima thing, so nothing to worry about. im mostly looking forward to himeji part of the story. maybe, it could be the thing saving mai in the end?!?!?

I like how this is going. Things are getting complicated, but in an exciting way. Can't wait to see if, or rather how, this dream becomes reality and if this has anything to do with Mai being in danger.

I s2g this author must have a cuck fetish or something cause all they do is cuck Mai. Now we got an underage student of Sakuta's flirting with him. Real nice.

I dislike Himeji since her introduction, she struck as a manipulative woman and this future date is another proof.
I knew that the way they framed the elevator scene was exactly to prepare some kind of scandal that she would use in the future to blackmail him.

Good foreshadowing, but not a plot that I wanted here, and even less considering the usual behaviour of Sakuta, that wouldn't fall for something that obvious.

Dreams becoming reality, huh? Things have gotten more complex than I thought it would be, but it's still all intriguing and fascinating at the same time.

The timing of the dreams seem to interfere with Sakuta's plans of being with Mai, first for her birthday plans, and the 2nd dream clashing on the day that Mai wants to visit the hot springs with Sakuta in Hakone. Himeji is a really pretty girl, although she is keeping her lips sealed about what her puberty syndrome does, aside from it playing a part to heal her broken heart, possibly from a love confession rejection if I had to guess. Still, I do give her credit for confirming that fact that she has puberty syndrome to Sakuta when they met up.

As for Kirishima, her talk with Sakuta was pretty interesting, with her songs playing a part in her giving puberty syndrome out towards others. It doesn't look like we'll find a resolution with her just yet, but most of all, it makes me curious to see next time if Sakuta really does have to cancel his plans with Mai for the Hakone trip or not. I just hope that Sakuta plays his cards very carefully here.

Yeah i really liked season 1 and the movies, but this season is a joke. They are in college now and they behave like kids. He is in the biggest friendzone, can not even hug his "girlfriend" after years!!! It was cute in the beginning, but it gets boring. He meets every other girl instead of his gf.

I guess Crunchyroll wanted to see how good our eyes are this week with those microscopic subtitles lol, I managed to watch it like that but it was a bit tough. Episode was good as always tho, this new arc seems to have a lot of aspects at play, like we have the issue with Mai potentially getting hurt right around the time she died in the original timeline, then there’s also Touko’s ominous song she’s supposed to put out on Christmas Eve (which we also learned here that she’s using the songs to spread puberty syndrome, she done went and poisoned her own music lol), and last but not least is Himeji’s puberty syndrome and the dream Sakuta and her both had, I’m not sure if Sakuta will end up actually canceling his date plans with Mai to go with Himeji instead but I definitely find that hard to believe, but at the same time that makes it all the more interesting to see how it plays out.

But regarding Himeji herself, she’s quite cute but there’s an underlying mystery with her, she’s got puberty syndrome but won’t say what it is, and it apparently helped her with a past breakup so she doesn’t want to lose it, it’s an interesting situation to have someone that actually doesn’t want to be cured of puberty syndrome so I’m really intrigued by Himeji, they got me looking forward to seeing where this arc goes which I’m happy about because I wasn’t sure if they’d be able to follow up Akagi’s arc with an equally as interesting one or not. And lastly, so Touko isn’t Santa Claus all the time huh, she had a nice fit but she also seems to be having a very similar thing happening to her like we saw with Mai where she can’t be seen by anyone, to the point she can’t even order food, this has me thinking we may see Sakuta cure Touko as well since she doesn’t appear to simply be an entity that passes out puberty syndrome.

And I really liked Himeji’s version of the ED, they’ve been doing a really good job with these just like in Season 1.

i think i've got a hint of a suspicion what she does. she steals guys from women. dudes who are in committed relationships. she's Schrodinger's Thieving Cat. :D

i bet she n her BF had plans for Golden Week and he bailed on her because he was cheating with another girl. she followed him, confirmed it, and Puberty Syndrome happened.

the other teacher at the cram school she got into trouble is my best clue. she only gave three hints. when she got it. why she got it. and she was happy about getting PS and didn't want it cured.

the mechanism or motivation escapes me at the moment, or how Santa is tied up in Mai's life...

Crunchyroll must hate this series for some reason, between the movies not being on there until after the season started, last week’s episode not being uploaded in time, and the miniature subtitles this episode.

That said this might be the best episode this season when it comes to Sakuta and Mai scenes.

Rare to see Sakuta blush like that haha. He got a ring for Mai-san AAAAAA

Sakuta is surrounded by troublesome girls, Kirishima Touko that gives "present" to people and seems to bear a bit of hate towards Mai-san and Himeji Sara that for some reason bothers him a lot. A lot of people are saying Mai-san is Kirishima Touko and I wonder if that must be the reason for Santa's hate? Given how she likes the recognition for her songs, it's bad that some people is giving Mai-san the credit... or just because Mai-san is too perfect she hates it. I can't read Himeji Sara at all, but she reminds me of Koga Tomoe.

Im really enjoying this Imouto Sannin so much, it's nice to see them hang out together. And they're really good at reading the room (eyes on Zukki) and gives the couple some space haha.

Sakuta going on dates with girls other than his girlfriend is a staple by now but it's tragically hilarious how he can't get a pass on them even on Mai's literal birthday.

I haven’t read source material so can’t complain if they’re just adapting faithfully.

I’m just over the magic mystery plots. I’m a Slice of Life fanatic so would much rather see these characters deal with more grounded problems and thus reactions. Instead we get monotone dialogue about dreaming mythos. Thinking about it now the plot is also teasing two conflicting destiny dates like one of the movies. If it follows the same idea how boring and repetitive.

Also +1 to the person mentioning Mai not getting a hug on her birthday. The jewelry store scenes were high-key awkward with his short monotone responses (where is the dude that used to scream about his love every day?). His only substantive comment was low key complaining about having to pay for her jewelry.

This has to be the worst episode in the series - the foreshadowing with all that Himeji stuff is just annoying. Generally this season is not great, pretty much all the new arc lead is underwhelming. Also how many stories are going to be about Sakuta and every girl falling in love with him? Like god damn, it's a forth time already.

man the story is so complicated my mind cant understand anything tbh, it was a good ep tho like really touko looks familiar but when I tried to search for characters like her I didn't find anyone

we know that she gives ppl adolescence syndrome by her songs? and that she did hate mai but that was long ago and she doesn't want to do anything for her but still I'm feeling like she's lying fsfs

and in the end we see Himeji in sakuta's dreams twice the 1st was that wants to be in his class and it turns out to be truly happening so he starts to put questions abt #dreaming and the 2nd both of them saw the same dream, it looks like she git the adolescence syndrome from touko ? like her heart was broken so she started hearing a song abt that ? she then says to sakuta that she wants to guess or know what kind of it

4 / 5 it was so complicated that's what i got from thinking

@Lionbrine In the light novel, the jewelry store plot is much longer, but most of its content was cut in the anime adaptation. I think this anime is a poor adaptation—it seems that CloverWorks didn’t want to invest much effort into it.

It's an annoying trend of this season that every single Mai x Sakuta interaction/date is either interrupted by another random girl, or outright cancelled to keep the plot progressing. Mai and Sakuta's romantic chemistry and overall relationship is one of the strongest parts of this entire franchise, but this season is helbent on shoving that aside to force the uninteresting new characters into the spotlight instead. I think I'm going to lose it if I see the words "keep your schedule open" again, because I know full damn well that whatever plans Mai and Sakuta make won't happen because we need to focus on another uninteresting side character instead (this episode provided no real context for who Himeji is or why the hell we should take any interest in her beyond her having an unspecified type of Puberty Syndrome).

Also, this show's character design is absolutely awful at this point, such that you can barely tell who is who (particularly with the many new characters this season is throwing at us). Eye colour aside, Touko looks more or less identical to Mai and Akagi just looks like a short-hair version of Mai. It just makes things needlessly confusing when these characters simply aren't visually distinct enough from each other.
