if you need to avoid certain things, the forums exist to tell you when you ask for possible trigger warnings, putting tags on anime over thing that happens in one or two episode isnt a realistic task for volunteering admins to do.

@deg again, you just showed me proof that its not a good idea, that is simply misleading, crowdsourcing tags that came from diverse subjective opinions (instead of objective) can result in misleading and false labeling. "non consensual penetration" do not exist in SAO afaik, you just showed proof that it can indeed result to misleading info.

the admin selection is strict because you need to be an objective non-emotional person, because info should be objective and factual instead of opinionated. mal cant risk anyone messing up the database because they think their opinion is more important.

just because anilist have something that mal doesnt have, doesnt mean its better, and mal doesnt need to follow other websites style. you should try thinking more objectively on things instead of selfishly.

again, suggesting the admins should provide misleading information, the one who decide on age ratings are original creator and publishers, not admins on database website.

google results about sao age rating: typically 13
age rating of sao in mal anime page: 13+

if you cant conclude that mal put info based on publishers information then idk what to tell you

If you start adding a bunch of tags that tell you specific events that will occurs in the show, then you need to also add a filter for people that care more about spoilers than trigger warnings.

true, add shows like dandadan, an anime about various scenarios of rape, it is a rape hentai. If there is any scene = rape fantasy.

Add tags such as fatricide if any characters kill their bros/sis, add "slurs" if any characters say any slur and so on, add "cheating fantasy" if a character cheats their partner, add "masturbation" if there is any hint that a character fapped (like on EoE), add "homophobic fantasy" if a gay character gets killed, add "racism fantasy" if there is a racist character or any depiction of racism and so on.

Put tags on everything for anything that appears on all anime and manga, hundreds of tags if needed, even thousands of trigger warnings to infinitely cover anything that isnt entirely sanitized by the standards of anything that can be even remotely considered "not ok" to happen irl. Everything should accomodate hypersensitive people
