To think people can be so sure that you’re not you just because you can read the room and talk sensibly is beyond disrespectful to the person lmao. I don’t remember much of Uzuki except the fact that she does idol stuff but yeah, pretty late of her to catch puberty syndrome at this point. Though hey, good for her that her peers are kinda really experienced around the stuff which this abnormality brings in, so easy for them to connect the dots and see the pattern. You see, just the last episode they were taking guesses over who might be that girl in the music video, and yeah, now it’s revealed to be Uzuki, lol. Who would’ve seen that coming? xD

Btw, something which I would’ve liked to see this season was Futaba going to the same college as Sakuta as well. I’ve always liked her character and those snarky remarks. We’ll be seeing her from time to time I feel, but yeah guess she and someone like Koga has been pretty much sidelined now. Though that aside, I hope they wrap up this arc by the next episode, not really feeling it.

It's clear Uzaki has a real knack for reading the room. She's always adjusting her style to fit in with the other girls, aiming to just blend with the crowd. Characters like her tend to get their fair share of screen time, and honestly, she stands out from the usual background characters. Funny, "Uzaki" means "rabbit" and "moonlight".
Her star is definitely on the rise, with all the trending commercials and variety show appearances. Yet, when it comes to live rehearsals, she just can't seem to perform, completely shutting down from the group. It's a complete change from her usual situational awareness.
Given these shifts, I'm wondering if Uzaki is going through her adolescent syndrome? I really liked Sakuta chasing after Uzaki on the train. Could it be as simple as Sakuta wanting to date her? And that background music during their bike date? Perfect.

I feel this Uzaki is good at reading the atmosphere. She often adjusts her fashion to fit in with the other girls, trying to blend in with the group. Characters like this typically get their share of screen time; I mean, she stands out from the other NPC. I just realized that the name Uzaki means "rabbit" and "moonlight," which is a beautiful name.

With her involvement in trending commercials and appearances on variety shows, Uzaki's popularity is rising. However, during live rehearsals, she struggles to perform well and closes herself off from the group members. Usually adept at reading situations, Uzaki has now changed 180 degrees.

From these changes, i can guess that Uzaki is experiencing her adolescent syndrome? i like how Sakuta going into the train to chase Uzaki. Could it be that Sakuta just wants to date Uzaki? I enjoy the background music played during the scene of Uzaki and Sakuta on their bike date.

Well no Santa girl this episode.
But Uzuki seems like a troubled girl i wonder what's really bothering her.
And a couple of new introductions who seem nice.
Sakuta teaching is also interesting to watch.

Another solid episode. Really digging this Uzuki arc.

Zukki’s a really interesting character so far. I think what we’re seeing now is just her learning social cues and developing social skills which is a normal part of growing up/finding your crowd. Not necessarily puberty syndrome. Goes back to Futaba’s conversation earlier in the ep about how there’s no standard in uni so people often don’t know what a college student is supposed to be like or act like. It’s not like high school where everyone kinda had the same direction which speaks to Uzuki not knowing whether she should go out on her own as an idol and continue testing herself, or stay on this path with Nodoka.

S/O to Nodoka for being an amazing friend and being so concerned about Uzuki. She’s a doll.

Sakuta again expertly navigating all these relationships with these different characters and it’s so fun to see. Between the Uzuki case and getting Koga’s friend as another student, his life is about to get even busier.

Mai in pigtails and glasses is so cute omg!! Really nice episode

Waaah! I feel like I haven’t gotten used to this yet! So many new characters! So many changes—in both the visuals and the story! The first two episodes were exhausting for me because I’m trying to adapt to the anime, but I’m having a hard time with it!

I’m looking forward to episode 3, and I’ll also try to rewatch the last two movies because, to be honest… I fell asleep watching them! I feel like I missed something important…

I don’t know! But I’m sure I need to refresh my knowledge of the anime.

Good episode.

I feel like Uzuki can read the room perfectly find. I mean, she fits in with the other girls and she can blend in with them pretty well so, I feel like it's kinda rude to her ngl. Uzuki is quite the interesting character though but shes also quite troubled. Still wondering if Miniskirt has something to do with this, not sure though. Maybe thats just me though.

2:25 bruh I didn’t even realize that was Mai at first 💀

2:50 Ah, I was right 🤣 Miori here is voiced by Iwami Manaka! Akane from Oshi no Ko and Mahiru from The Angel Next Door! Such a unique and distinct voice she has. Very gentle.

13:40 this was a random scene 🤣

One of my favorite JPop artists, ClariS, they got to perform at the Budokan Stage many years ago when it was still Clara and Karen. It’s their most favorite and memorable concert. I guess that’s when you know you’ve made it.

What do you think Uzuki meant at the end with that there are no rabbits on the moon reference?

I was still trying to remember everything last week, but this episode reminded why I loved this show and its cast so much. Sakuta is hilarious. The way he navigates all these messy relationships is endearing---he cares so much, and no matter how sarcastically or coldly he tries to act, he can never seem to hide just how kind he actually is.

I like how Uzuki's supposed adolescent syndrome is nothing supernatural or intense. It's just her struggling with fitting in and balancing her (radiant, accomplished) sense of self with her respect for other people's feelings. I'm always down for such a muted, human story arc.

I just love the character interactions in this series, and with all these new ones being introduced, there will be even more interesting interactions.

Zukki's arc of self-discovery is really good, it's like she's being forced to change by her surroundings, that she should be able to fit in the environment she's in and not just be a dork airhead.

The whole exchange between Zukki and Sakuta: "Which version of me do you prefer?" "I think they're both great" is so similar to Kaede it made me tear up a little.

Mai-san with braids and glasses, blessed.

An amazing episode, we got to learn more about Uzuki and her struggles, more of Mai, I like how the series touches on the realism of struggles that everyone faces. It's genuinely great writing, and something I really appreciate. I really like the new characters too, this episode flew by so fast I was in disbelief, easy 5/5 episode once again

Sakuta's banter with Mai is second to none but his dynamic with Koga is terribly underrated. Glad we got a generous helping of it (along with a potential new wave of Koga x Sakuta rumors?)

I was under the impression Sakuta had a genuine interest in statistical science but then again, choosing it for being a "safe" major is a very Sakuta-esque move too.

This idea of being able to read the atmosphere causing outstanding people to lose themselves and become more ordinary is an interesting premise. Far more abstract than the usual conflicts of this series. Curious to see where it goes.

I’m kinda at the point in life where what people think of me means very little, so it’s kinda hard to relate to what’s going on with Uzuki here, but I am really liking how her arc is progressing. So the puberty syndrome here might involve the whole college huh? Not sure how Sakuta is gonna be able to solve this one boys lol, but then again, he did fight the atmosphere for Mai, so perhaps he can take on a whole college after all. That is wild tho if that’s what changed Uzuki, it wasn’t even something she caused, but everyone else around her, man this would be a messed up world to live in lol.

But like others are saying, I’m wondering if this is actually puberty syndrome or not, like the situation of Uzuki suddenly being able to read the room is a bit out of nowhere, but not abnormal, this could just be part of her growth as a person that looks like puberty syndrome, guess we’ll have to wait and see about that. Also, I really liked Uzuki and Sakuta’s moment in front of the Budokan too, it sure would be epic if Sweet Bullet could perform there but it’s not looking likely for them unfortunately, if only 8,000 more people was easy to come by. And oh yeah, I guess Touko Kirishima was Uzuki, I didn’t see that coming but the reveal was just kinda “oh, alright” lol, but the fact it was just kinda brushed under the rug makes me think there’s more to it.

We also got introduced to a new girl here with Sara Himeji, it looks like from the OP we might get an arc for her so I’m excited to see what she’s about if/when that comes around, and it was also nice getting some Tomoe content again, I always love her moments with Sakuta, although I’m hoping she can become a relevant player again at some point because as much as I love her being an occasional comedy partner, I’d love some proper focus on my best girl again lol.

So Uzuki's actually going through some thoughts considering that she's now able to read the room as opposed to how she usually behaved but in contrast that has casted some doubt into what she's doing and will do in the future. Nodoka has understandably noticed something was off and Sakuta was luckily able to spot her in order to accompany her on a tuna's day worth of discovery... so to speak. Being that the case, what I wonder is how this all connects to Santa Claus, if at all.

I'm confused on what kind of problem this episode seems to present.

It obviously looks like Uzuki is starting to mature mentally as she's in college, so why does the show potray her increased maturity as a problem?

Is it because of her sudden switch in personality, as we saw in the first episode, is what makes it a problem?
If so, then I highly doubt it's something related to Puberty Syndrome that caused this abrupt change in personality.

So basically, Zukki's Puberty Syndrome effect is knowing how to conform with others, but it also causes her to have feelings of uncertainty? Hence this arc's title being Lost Singer. Anyway, it's definitely very interesting so far.

i THINK i figured out Uzuki's Puberty Syndrome... perhaps.

telepathy, mimic/mirror, or psychic sublimation/sponge. she said at the end, while at Budokan 'people's voices were all in my head and i lost myself somewhat.'

so she lost her airhead mild-autism and went to the other end of the Spectrum, OVER FOLLOWING/mirroring. when she is around a group she 'gains information' like Futaba said and Uzuki 'loses herself' in the role the group is projecting for the members. but when she is by herself or just ONE other person and not 'in a group' she somewhat returns to normal airhead mild-autism. Uzuki was probably reading the minds of the quiz show host as well as the other participants to get those three questions right. since they were 'all a group on-stage'.

when she was by herself working on those viral videos or the ear-bud commercial Uzuki was reading the crew and staff and putting her previous experience in Sweet Bullet to its fullest capacity and more to improve her solo performance beyond her usual normal. as to the name on the videos, somehow Uzuki created the artificial persona of this new person (i forget the girl's name on the videos). this was so her old name and old self wouldn't influence her new solo efforts and cause tension within Sweet Bullet by "Hirokawa Uzuki has gone solo! What will happen to Sweet Bullet?!" but... the ear-bud commercial, unlike the previous viral video DID show her face! so the new persona in the commercial IS interfering with Sweet Bullet.

but all of this is just pure speculation on my part, perhaps we'll reach the conclusion next episode and Sakuta will provide his summation as usual?
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

This episode, concerning the Budokan, inevitably draws comparisons with Girls Band Cry (ep6, the OP song and TogeToge's upcoming B. concert), but the results favour Rascal does not ... as master Yoda would say
There are too many girl characters now, yet bringing in ever more and they look too similar to tell apart. They don't communicate or if yes, only through the middle man rascal. This kind of typically japanese plot is now getting tired, people crave something more lively, yet more realistic. The great traction Rascal s1 had is now lost (singer)

Mai with glasses!!! Also loved how she evolved from the bunny hairpin to the bunny necklace.

It's nice seeing how Kaede's character has grown, from her arc in the first season to her arc "A Sister Venturing Out," and now her working at Benny's alongside Koga, it's been great. Which speaking of Koga, it was nice to see her banter with Sakuta again. Feels like hit's been too long since they've done that. Futaba has makes another appearance talking to Sakuta about Uzuki's Adolescence Syndrome. Which, out of all the cases we've see so far, isn't as grandiose as some others but is a bit more interesting than some.
Loved the last quarter of the episode with Sakuta assisting Uzuking on seeing if she could 'find herself' in Misakiguchi, and then going to Budokan with her too.

Good episode, it is the development of the first arc, continuing with the plot that we were given at the end of the previous chapter. It is interesting how Hirokawa's personality change is shown based on university prejudices, demonstrating the development of her character. However, her situation is inevitably similar to Nodoka's to a certain extent, as they are both part of the same idol group. The fresh twist is that she now faces a combination of different pressures: university society, being the leader of an idol group, and her own aspirations. It is appealing that they continue to show hints of the next arc as the chapter unfolds. It leaves us with a good final reflection.
