| Sin had this goal in mind from the start..to liberate settle things once and for all with Nerville. Epiosde felt rushed and I wish I was more invested into the overall story. On the positive note, at least they did get a handful of characters to participate in this climax battle. A variety of gear abilities and colorful action for the finale made this look like the game came to life. |

| The pacing was really fast, with one thing happening after another, and many things just felt really weird to watch with all those bright effects. In some places, things just didn't make sense as to what was even happening. The episode, or rather the season, may have ended with a happy ending, but we did get some big reveals and emotional departures. The show lacked charm in both its plot and animation, and it was more irritating and annoying than anything. Yeah, calling it fun is a stretch. |

| Like the ending. The music throughout this episode was very good and as a Guilty Gear fan I might be a bit biased but I enjoyed the journey. |

| At some point during the episode I was like "Why am I not enjoying this, aren't I a fan of Guilty Gear? Didn't I read the anthology manga and listened to the drama CDs? Do I even like Guilty Gear? Then I went back and listened to the original GGX Awe of She and Still in the Dark and it got me, "I like this", then I booted Strive and destroyed some scrubs in the park with Test and I also went "I like this". But watching Dual Rulers, I didn't like this, it isn't the Guilty Gear I like. Also now that we've seen the leaks for 2 weeks already, why is she wielding the Thunderseal during her super? It's several times worse if this isn't even explained the anime made to shill Unika as a new character, she just pulled it out her ass? Even coming back to the end of Strive there was so much potential for anything better than this. Why not give the spotlight to Nago? He's one of the coolest newcomer in the entire franchise, he would have been a FAAAAR better antagonist than Nerville ever could. Why all the original characters of the first game are sidelined again and AGAIN for more Bridget and Valentine fanservice. May, Pot, Chipp, Faust, Zato, Millia, Testament have been there since the first game and only ever shined in novels and drama CDs. Yeah thank you for giving me Axl and making him a joke, he's the strongest individual in the entire GG world bar none but he'll job anyway, whatever. Woolie's series is a better anime than this unironically. |

| Well, we got Dolphin Girl aka Anchor Girl aka Totsugeki Girl, actual name May at least twice in this episode (for less than a second in total), so I guess this anime wasn't a complete waste of time. |

| Well, this fever dream is over. It was way better than what I expected, but at the same time, it was way worse. This episode was great tho, the animation of the evil guy was amazing, it was actually scary. I love that Dizzy was finally able to call Sol her father π, but I wanted them to call her "Dizzy Badguy" or something π€£ What I didn't like tho, is that Unika ends up living in the USA, she didn't return to the future, but in the present she still hasn't been born, so what? Will we see baby Unika someday? Will there be 2 Unikas? Or does the future Unika living in the present deny the existence of a newborn Unika? Shit's weird, this wasn't a good way to end her story without explaining that, I was expecting her to return to the future, or at the very least to see Dizzy carrying a baby Unika in a little time skip scene at the very end. Another thing that I find weird and don't really like is the extreme sexual tension there is between Sin and Unika, like, you can't tell me they weren't about to kiss and make out in multiple times of this episode lmao, Daisuke will never stop with his weird relationships. Anyways, really mid anime, it has it's moments tho, I'm tempted to give it a 5, but fuck, it's probably the best anime about a non-music videogame franchise I've seen, or at the very least the best anime about a fighting game franchise, so I give this a 6. Also I like how it doesn't overstay it's welcome, 8 episodes is just enough, more than that would have felt terrible. PD: I'm so glad I finally got to see May in this... for 0.5 seconds total, wow, and don't even make me talk about Anji and his 0.2 seconds apparition, damn, thank you ArcSys, very cool. |

| Boring writing, horrible pacing and bad animation, with some feeeew average moments. It's fucking unbelievable to me that they treated a Guilty Gear anime like this... like, c'mom, the pachinko has better animation and a more interesting/fun plot than what they gave us with this anime. The number of episodes is also ridiculous, it almost feels like the kind of crap that usually comes out in chunks on Netflix. Okay, it's a short anime, but they could have shown a little bit more of the other characters. My man Faust? Reduced to a hologram. MY MAIN LEO???! THE FUCKING GORILLA?!!! Does absolutely nothing. My beautiful Millia? Just a still frame that appears in a fraction of a seconds. Axl? A comic relief character. MY ULTIMATE BRAZILIAN GIRL GIOVANNA?!! SHE DOESN'T APPEAR EVEN THOUGH SHE IS THE STRONGEST BODYGUARD OF THE US PRESIDENT (WHO IS NOT ONLY IN THE ANIME BUT IS ALSO AN IMPORTANT CHARACTER, HOW THE HELL DID SHE NOT APPEAR AFTER ALL??!)... nah man, fuck ArcSystem. It would be much better if it had 12 or 13 episodes. The only moments I really enjoyed were the scenes with Ramlethal and Elphelt. Baiken and Jack-O were cool too. And I'm extremely pissed that Bridget went from being a cool character to becoming a brand mascot. The Blazblue anime was boring asf to me and yet it managed to be better than this. |

they had the chance to make an anime for guilty gear since the 2000s but I don't know what was holding them back, I don't know how to feel about this adaptation but I fell like they just did it as a last marketing trick for Strive or so they can just say " Our game has animated adaptation just like any other game series*
| @Dragon456hon Yep, they could have turned Vastedge XT into a awesome anime back then, but ArcSystem chose to make a pachinko instead. The worst part is that its plot is canon, and the "game" is exclusive to Japan. With the little we can find about it on the internet, you can see that it could have been something much more fun and interesting than what we had with Dual Rulers. |

| It's okay, probably around a 5 or maybe a 6, if I'm generous. The pacing was too fast, in my opinion, and the plot was very clichéd. However, I thought the fights were cool at least. Honestly, if they showed one frame of Slayer sitting on his ass, I would probably rate this a 10/10. |
