This episode seems more complex than it looks especially from Leticia's perspective. There's the princess tropes but also how this anime approaches the relationship between her and Clarke. Good way of characterization though.

Episode showed a vulnerable side of Leticia.

Favorite episode so far. Can't get over how adorable both little Clarke & little Lettie are, especially since Lettie is even more of a doll than Clarke, and she's calling him a doll, haha.

This was such a shocking episode though, to think that all this time, Clarke & Nadir were accomplices, especially with Nadir pulling all the strings behind the scene, only to secure a position within the royal family, the way he said it was like the most hilarious ever.

Loved the episode, especially the end scene, where Clarke states that he haven't even made a single mode on Lettie despite being engaged, cuz he's waiting for them to get married first. The little cute Clarke grew up to be such a gentleman.

This episode helped a lot.
The prince still gives me massive ick but it paints this show in a way better light.

The brother being the mastermind behind all the planning makes sense and just proves he's best character.

Definitely a much needed episode, although I think this would have been placed better maybe a few episodes ago because I don’t think the people that despise Clarke are ever gonna come around on him at this point. But I am not one of those people, I simply have a distaste for him due to his actions in the earlier episodes, so this has been a good eye opening experience for me to start appreciating him, of course I’m still not completely onboard but at least it was revealed that the plan of tricking Leticia and bringing her back was not Clarke’s idea, but Nadir’s, he’s been pulling the strings for quite some time apparently, which I guess makes sense because who else knows Leticia better than him, he knew exactly what buttons to press.

And speaking of Nadir, I like that he did Leticia’s talking to the audience thing that she usually does, that was unexpected so it kinda got me lol, even with these reveals I can’t bring myself to hate him. So yeah, seeing all of Clarke’s efforts behind the scenes and how he interacted with Leticia in their childhood, I can say that I can support this romance now, of course this doesn’t make Clarke innocent because he still locked Leticia up in the castle before, but I’m not near as against it as I was back on episode 2, I’m actually excited for once to see what happens between these two going forward.

Interesting, this finally gives a look into Clarke's character. And how long they have known each other. It seems they got along as small children.

Mini Leticia is so cute, it always hurts to see when she abandoned her happiness and hope after being trapped there for so long, at least we know that Clarke has always love her and really cares about her and then there is Nadir who has been the mastermind all along, both using her sister but also taking care of her, I like this show and the characters but it is hard to fully enjoy it with that premise.

They should’ve started the series with the last 3 episodes and it would’ve been much better.

Clarke’s got an extremely weird way of showing it in present day, but it does seem like he’s not a totally horrible person. Been in love with Leti since they were kids and everything he’s done to this point has been with the goal of making her happy and freeing her from the suffering she dealt with.

This episode framed his actions in a much more romantic and considerate light and I kinda respect he’s been working with Leti brother behind the scenes to make things better for her. “Only if she says it’s ok” ok maybe he ain’t so bad 😭 I question the narrative decision to wait 8 episodes in to start making the Male lead look good tho.

This episode seems to be trying to make Prince Clarke sympathetic. Ever since he was a child, he has always simped for Letty. The problem is, she doesn't like him and it's his brother insisting on their marriage. Even the scheme in Episode 1 is his fault.

It only confirms Clarke is still the real culprit with Nadir being just as guilty. Just made me feel worse for Lettie on how long she's been crying alone in the castle without having any allies.

Her brother just entered the list of disgusting guys...
The prince (together with his parents) made Leticia's life miserable with just one wish...

I am a few episodes behind but this does confirm my suspicions Clarke is not a bad person just really naive.

Also young Clarke and Leticia are cute.

They should have showed this kind of stuff being the brother's plan a lot earlier really.

I do have to agree that they should've shown this episode towards the start because it had some very well needed background info. Since we're in so far deep at this point, no one is going to change their minds.

Poor Clarke.

Not the brother breaking the fourth wall only to say he did have his own interests. In all reality, this is the brother's fault. Everyone should be mad at the brother, low-key Clarke is a victim too.

And for everyone claiming Clarke was trying to sexually harass Lety, what he said at the end disproves that.

Going back in time to the first meetings of Clarke and Leticia, the Prince wasn't all that domineering as we've seen him in previous episodes, as is Leticia herself being the daughter of Duke Dorman and introduced to the Astarl family. Even from a young age, Nadir pushing to have his sister be wedded is quite the meticulous push, as much as Clarke easily overwhelms Nathan at times.

Ever since Leticia got into princess lessons, it's clear that Clarke doesn't appreciate it and will do anything to cheer her up, but that Nadir purposely manipulated his position to try and gain his favour by taking advantage of his kindness and naviety, that is as much obvious as day with his 4th wall breaking. And for all the things that construed up to the beginning of the series, that plan went as perfect as it could get, but is by no means the end of the story trying to entice Clarke towards Leticia by learning of her secretly and stalking her. In many a sense, Nadir concocted Leticia's marriage plan, and Clarke followed up with it not thinking about much, though he also has his own conscience to wait upon Leticia if she's OK with marrying him.

Somehow, it's episodes like this...which really gives much-needed context and paints the show in a better light.

I WAS hoping for an episode that goes a bit into how Clarke fell so hard for Leticia but this episode left me going "that's it"?
(Not to mention this was a good 5-6 episodes way too late than it should be)

Basically Clarke "fell for her smile" and Nadir is manipulative as heck.
Definitely no where near 'best couple' material (but I guess I only have myself to blame for having such expectations when I read the description originally)......
I'll [eventually] watch more just to complete this season (cuz god forbid this gets another season) but this just continues to disappoint me.
