Jeez, Kanata has actually lost it.

Having lost Nayuta, Kanata goes berserk. Guided by the BURAIKAN, its singing voice corrodes everything into metal. Why was Paradox Live held, breaking a decade of silence? The terrifying plot of the Alter Trigger Company is finally revealed. Cursing everything, Kanata rages on. Witnessing this spectacle is BAE. Amidst the chaos, what future will they grasp.

At first glance, you might think you've stumbled into a surreal setting. But when you dive into the poetic vibes that touch your soul, everything starts making sense. Even if what you see is just a mirage shaped by how others perceive an individual, the fact that it comes alive in the Paradox Live world, evident even to an outsider, is a seriously mind-blowing technological feat.

I sat down thinking I was about to enjoy a hip-hop anime, but out of the blue, this human complementation plan kicks off unnoticed. It's great that Nayuta is making a comeback with the ongoing project, but I can't help but wonder if he'll keep grappling with these illusionary live gigs down the road.

Honestly, the twists toward the end had me a bit lost, but overall, it turned out to be an anime I really got into.

Crunchyroll was really late for some reason, so I watched it raw. (Well, there were Chinese subtitles, but my Japanese is way better than my Chinese)

Wait what the hell, the audience was affected too?
Was the whole building made of phantometal lol?
An okay ending, felt quite power-of-friendship-ish, but I guess it makes sense, with the metal being connected to the person's DNA and all. And the villain felt flat.
Also, Shura is badass

7/10
This just kinda existed for me, but Paradox Live fans probably really enjoyed this. The second-to-last episode was the best imo.
How many dramas were adapted btw? Just curious.

Kanata was dying there, and all of the guys were dancing in front of him and rapping xD sorry, i know it was an important moment, but just couldnt resist, this was so hilarious situation xD

And, is Shura 36 or 46, either way, waaaaay too young to get white hair.

Nice ending ✨
Shura was just too badass, even with a gun pointed at him he does not care. But if you start badmouthing his partner, then he’ll really mess you up and choke you lol XD
And the mystery still remains, what exactly happened 10 years ago? How did Yasha die exactly?? The lab guy made it seem like this is what happened before too, but Buraikan managed to foil Alter Trigger’s plan… hmm 🤔
I didn’t get most of the technicalities, like why did the audience get affected, how exactly was the collective consciousness thing supposed to work, why did Club Paradox disappear at the end?
On another note Allen/Kanata nation rise 💕… but seriously they really made good use of the power of friendship. Also the performance was kind of novel and unique, really cool 💗 Starting without music, then transitioning into the other teams and all the lyrics really fit the moment (even if it was super funny how they were all singing around a dying Kanata suspended in the middle of the stage 😆)

In the end everyone managed to reach their goals:
TCW got to keep the cafe (they bought it for cheap because Alter Trigger’s involvement in the whole incident became known and they don’t want any more problems so they gave it as kinda like hush money).
AKYR (Iori) are closer to their revenge, they made great steps in their investigation and the kiddos are growing up and becoming more mature and responsible!
BAE became closer and their music was acknowledged by the people who really matter.
Shura managed to retrieve Yasha’s phantometal, a piece of his partner 🏅🐉 and stop a major incident.
And Kanata is not alone anymore, he not only has everyone else, but also his real brother back, not the illusion. But lmao they really just put that there without any context or explanation whatsoever 🤣, I mean we’ve seen a brief image of long-hair Nayuta before and could deduce that he was alive and somewhere but he just suddenly appears 😅 (they actually explain in detail in the LIVE drama cds part 2).
I think this was a nice wrap up and they actually could continue somewhat smoothly with the LIVE 3-4!!

Question to anyone that knows the answer. Is Shura the father of Kanata and Nayuta. It seemed like they alluded to it in an earlier episode. Anyway decent finale although it left some unresolved questions and the villain was weak.

AND THE END HAS ARRIVED....for this 1st season.

In the end, EVERYONE did it, including the real Shura (even if it was behind the scenes) they used the power of Hip Hop to reach Kanata's heart and get him out of whatever that scientist did to him.

That scientist's plans left me WTF, I mean, the fandom theorized that the reason for Alter Trigger to make the tournament was just to experiment but it was not known to what extent, that is, to make metal a way to control the minds of people. people although it involves killing them "physically" and that this guy's name was Messiah....it's the strangest....thing I've ever heard. Thank you Shura for defeating him...

What I never expected about Yasha, if in the anime it is implied that Yasha "died" so that that scientist could obtain Phantom Metal from him.... What will it be for the Yassha of the Voice Drama? since they have never made that point clear if that Yasha is the real one or an illusion that Shura created for the events of Road to Legend...now I am very confused.

Now with Nayuta that we saw at the end, THAT NAYUTA IS THE REAL ONE.
SPOILER:

My only complaint is that THEY SHAMELESSLY OMITTED EVERYTHING LIVE!! There are only references to Allen and Shiki's dialogue with Kanata and with TCW celebrating because they were able to save the bar. And it's a shame because the events of LIVE within the canon not only close the tournament stage, but also give the preamble to a phase or part AND IT IS THE PREAMBLE TO ROAD TO LEGEND!!

Now, will there be a 2nd season? It is not known, there was just something: On April 27, 2024 there will be a special event that they already announced today, so let's wait for them to announce a possible 2nd season since sometimes in events of this type, there are news so , we have to wait if there will be a 2nd temp or at least an ova (I hope they adapt the events of Voice Drama Shuffles but I highly doubt it)

Although I have mixed feelings about this adaptation since I did not expect the abrupt changes and omissions to the original material (irony that the anime's writer is the same as the Voice drama), I can applaud the novelties such as putting constant interaction of the 4 groups outside of the vs and the development of Allen which as I said in episode 10, in the original material they never gave a focus for him. BUT I hated that they omitted some vs, the presence of Tsubaki in the foundations of Saimon and Yohei, the events of Live in their entirety and less emphasis for TCW like AKYR especially TCW for the events of Love (episode 7)

It pains me to see the anime end, and I can say that it was decent and I'm glad I enjoyed watching it every Tuesday.

Thanks for everything Paralive! and to the new ones who arrived with this anime, welcome! Enjoy the music and Voice Drama on Spotify or YouTube and follow the official ParaLive pages for news!

Check it out and don't miss it with Paradox Live!

Well, by law when you are a Phantom Rapper who uses a Phantom Metal, the use of illusions will occur and therefore, the trap reaction will occur. I don't want to give spoilers about the illusions that Cozmez will have now that the real Nayuta is there, so in case of a 2nd season, we may see it...

With the plot of ParaLive, those of us who are up to date with the lore already knew what it entails in terms of story because they are not only songs but also handle a complex plot. Road to Legend takes place months after the end of this season of the anime and you see more development for the new groups and a new approach to the new ones because the new groups also have their problems and traumas.
That's why I love Paralive because of how dual it is: Hip Hop songs AND interesting lore.

Let's see...if we don't add the ones they omitted because THEY WERE OMITTED

-Opening Show (BAE part)
-Battle Desire (BAE vs Cozmez)
-Battle Justice (TCW vs AKYR)
-Battle Pride (BAE vs TCW)
-Battle Family (Cozmez vs AKYR)
-Exhibition (I think they adapted the last 2 parts but I don't remember which ones they were)
-Battle Love (TCW vs Cozmez)
-Battle Vibes (BAE vs AKYR)
-Live Album (Only in references and nothing else)

NOW, putting everything in including the omitted ones, it would look like this:
-Opening Show (parts: BAE, TCW, Cozmez and AKYR)
-Battle Desire (BAE vs Cozmez)
-Battle Justice (TCW vs AKYR)
-Battle Pride (BAE vs TCW)
-Battle Family (Cozmez vs AKYR)
-Exhibition (It has 4 parts)
-Battle Love (TCW vs Cozmez)
-Battle Vibes (BAE vs AKYR)
-Live Album (I think it has 5 parts)

No, that Nayuta is the real one who recovered.

Personally, I’m glad this show is finally over. I almost dropped it several times but managed to push through it.

I’d give this anime a 5/10. I went into it believing it would be another mid-tier anime like Technoroid Overmind, and it was. There are still so many questions left unanswered and the overall plot and ending are quite underwhelming to me. Even the English subtitles were fairly average and incorrectly translated many times.

On to the Winter 2024 season!

I'm a bit disappointed with the last two episodes (and the last 3, even, because if not for the anime original episode, I wholly believe they could've fit the important stuff in to finish off the contents of LIVE). LIVE was so emotional, the anime really missed out on such good content ;_; The whole Alter Trigger guy and mass metal erosion didn't sit well with me...

Still, I did really enjoy everything until the last two episodes. The anime original episode was fun as well. I hope the anime did its job in advertising the project at the very least, bringing in some new fans!

Throughout this anime, I liked Cozmez I liked Yatonokami brothers. My favourite character in Paradox live is Kanata. BAE was also good. I wonder if Ryuu is psychic. I liked the bond within the members of BAE and Akanyatsura besides each other they support others too. I like the brother love of Nayuta and Kanata.

Hmmm… quite torn about this because it was going so well and then they just rushed the end.

They so casually revealed that Nayuta was actually alive when his death was supposed to be one of the main plot points! They could’ve had a scene where Kanata found Nayuta and that would’ve been a really powerful moment.

I feel like there was just too much story to tell in only 12 eps but I kinda guessed that would be a problem when the ep count was revealed

Overall it was good until the middle but the later episodes felt rushed and I couldn't give less of a fuck about Allen's sudden emo moment.
I'm going to watch the cd dramas since I've seen fans kinda mad that they changed some events and gave BAE more spotlight than in the OG.

Cute ending giving the original groups a chance to work together. Kanata x Suzaku and Shiki x Nayuta were all done so well, really pleased with each having such passionate lines and actions, well done.

Also the ending even had BAEs Fabulous playing, I love that one so much lol. Call back.

Anyway. IMO, the anime did a good job adapting the audio dramas general story to a visual media such as the anime, changing things up to deliver a concise story for the medium and adding a few things. I think it succeeded on both driving interest to the source material as well as to the music. I dont necessarily think doing a 1 to 1 adaptation would have worked due to the nature of the medium differences, and also, writers typically do want to change how things play out when given another chance to tell the story.

Anyway, it did get me so into the franchise and the music. Wish it would get another season as there are so many good songs from BAE, Visty, 1nn8, Amprule, and Buraikan that could be covered.

Also 96neko (kuroneko) and Gakuto Kajiwara were the highlights for voice roles this whole anime, they're great. BAE forever.

The "villain" plot was very boring and I still wanna know what's the matter with Ryu. But otherwise, I enjoyed the finale, they did a good job with the emotions.

Overall I'm happy I picked up this show. I thought it would be doomed from the start with the oversized cast, but most of the characters got enough screentime and development. Maybe the adults not so much, but it still felt good. The emotions, the romantic and family relationships and the characters drama were also quite well done and I always enjoyed them just being themselves.

On the bad side, the plot around Alter Trigger was just bad. It was almost non-exsistent in the first place, but I also didn't like how some side character stormed some HQ on his own and took care of everything. They should've just left it ambiguous with the scientist's plan failing due to BAE's intervention and not having Shura appear at all.

The pacing was slightly rushed, but nothing too bad. Finally, I can't rate the music. I just hate Hiphop. But if I liked it I was probably upset the battles were all offscreen.

7/10.

Ugh, i was kidding myself while being happy about the animation and all that but honestly? i think that this animation could be a lot better, and i say that just for the storyline that were made for each character. Here we have a plot that is assossiated with phantometal and while on it the groups are presented, then we have a competition and we gotta have a villain or something... and it's is just vain?

You know what, the whole premisse were good but what were made is vain and lacks connection.

It was a cute little end. Everyone rapping at Kanata was nice for the most part. The little closing goodies weren't bad. Glad Nayuta is okay, but considering the man went through a whole like disintegration over him, you'd think the reaction to seeing actual would be a little more of something than that.
All okay over all.

@VampiirDust I believe the Nayuta with long hair at the end was the real Nayuta (as in he never died or was resurrected by the Alter Trigger research group). In episode 7 after the outro, we see Alter Trigger's researcher saying "your body has been highly commendable for our research..." then the camera pans up someone's body sleeping in a bed, showing Nayuta's long hair, revealing that they have his body suspended, alive, for their research. Because Kanata thought Nayuta was dead and lost him, he was still able to create an illusory version of Nayuta until episode 12. I'm so glad Nayuta is alive and that they show them reunited at the end!

What the actual fuck did I just finish watching?! I was already struggling to take it seriously, but then this shitty reveal made it feel like I was watching a comedy that was disguising itself as a drama. So, we got a glimpse of the real Nayuta at the end of episode 7. What is the story with that? And, how did Yasha die? For those of us not familiar with the drama CDs, some clarification would have been nice.

Thank the anime gods for Saimon, and Masaki. They made it worth watching.

I finally had time to finish the serię and to be completely honest, I did enjoy it. It wasn’t the best anime I’ve seen, but I still loved the characters, liked the story and the plot twist. I did dive in completely blind, didn’t even know what the serie was based on… And I have to admit that the ending left me quite confused.

I was happy to see Cozmez succeed, only to get sad about the backstory and dumbfounded about the revelation in ep7, back to happy because “I don’t understand but yippee-“ and depressed at the revelation. 🙃
In that place I’d like to thank all of you guys, familiar with the CDs and story, who helped me to understand what actually happened lol
I’m still a bit confused and would love to find a paralive expert to guide me! 😂

In the end, I think that even if the anime production wasn’t the greatest and they twisted the storyline a bit, it was still fun to watch. It certainly got me interested in something I wasn’t aware of and now I’m listening to paralive songs every day.
