Unpopular opinion around here, but I really LOVE Mirai. It's usually a movie which is enjoyed by people who are not used to anime (contrary to, for example, Wolf Children... You know, the furry thing...). I still like all Hosoda's movies very much

I haven't seen all of his films, so I'll include the Digimon ones to fill out my list a bit more.

1. Belle
2. Digimon: Our War Game
3. Wolf Children
4. Digimon Adventure The Movie

Though I enjoyed Our War Game the most, Belle is definitely the most well-developed of them all. Wolf Children was good, but the pacing kind of felt more like a bunch of episodes strung together than a full movie with one arc. Digimon Adventure The Movie was basically just an animated giant monster battle, and as fun as that is, it's not really anything special.

Wolf Children is far above 2nd place, it just simply the best anime movie i've ever watch.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is good.
Summer Wars is fun, but not that special.

Belle actually having characters i like the most, but the storytelling feel unrewarding, it kinda lack of clue / setup, make me question how this is happen? why he/she doing that? oh i guess it's how it work. Okay ._. And also it feel the world is forced to revolve around the story, making it hard to be believable setting / characters.

the rest other is underwhelming for a movie.

I'll see the last one someday, but I personally loved Belle. In fact, I love all the top three, with The Boy and the Beast being an okay movie. Mirai was pretty unbearable for me, but goddamn that opening theme by Yamashita Tatsuro is great.
