Why does 'insert manga/game/novel' not have an anime yet?

Because non of the studios picked it up? I thought it was obvious.

Either cause no studio has licensed it yet, or the owners of those IPs have rejected any offers to turn it into one.

If the studio is going to take crap on the franchise like DMC, you should be thankful that they haven't been touched.

Well as someone with a less than spectacular username above pointed out, Tekken did have an anime film made of it, and it doesn't seem to have been all that successful. As for Guilty Gear, if they do it might fall under the same fate. Unfortunately fighting games don't always have the strongest story, at least not strong enough to hold up a full blown anime. Those types of games do much better simply remaining games usually. If you really want a fix of those characters in a story, you might have to settle for fan fiction. :c

Most likely to hard to adapt.

Even though Tekken has more in depth story compared to other fighting games, but i can't see it working well. Don't even get my started on Guilty Gear.

This. I don't think it's possible to make a decent adaptation of a fighting game. Just look at Blazblue: Alter Memory (but seriously don't).

Although no one said an anime adaptation of a fighting game had to be good...It could do fairly well from a money making standpoint as another piece of merchandise for the games.

Fighting games don't make good series.
A CGI Film once in a while could be a novelty.

Doujins are better.

GG already has a light novel-esque story mode. Why don't you check that out instead?

Guilty Gear Xrd was a superfun game, but sold it, just lost interest after awhile. The Graphics are second to none when it comes to fighting games, just found the gameplay not as fun as games like tekken, street fighter or even mortal kombat. I have to say though, I'd love to see Guilty Gear as an anime just based on the character designs.

What do you not like about the gameplay? Most people say it's difficult, but xrd is considered to be the easiest installment.

It's quite a feat that they even managed to make it that bad... like seriously, how was it even possible?

Fighting games haven't had a good history with anime. The Street Fighter movies are OK, but the rest are pretty bad. Tekken has had two terrible movies, although Blood Vengeance has really nice CGI and fights, so it has some merit.

Blazblue got an anime, but it was terrible. Guilty Gear is made by the same company, and GG is less popular than Blazblue in Japanese arcades, so I doubt it ever gets an anime.

Fighting game into Anime turn out bad. Blazblue is a good example. All Fighting game has poor story so adapting it would be horrible.

Why hasn't there been a second season of FLCL? These are all questions to which I have no answer.
