Well that was depressing and made me crey a whole lot. I cant believe Jig was offd just like that and stay dead.

Souya plot point of origin was expected.

Damn, that was a pretty rushed open ending, I was expecting it though. But it was a pretty sad finale though, I really felt bad for Jig, he was a kid originally going to the city to get rid of a curse, eventually trying to find a place to belong with the friends that he has made, but with all the terrible events that occured in his past, that couldn't happen, and he ended up dying to protect the only reality he had left. That fucking hurts ;_;, I doubt that's what Narita was originally going for with this manga. I'm not sure if I could forgive the Jump readers for not voting this manga, so much could've been done with it, so much.... ugh...

But I have to say that I really enjoyed this manga, sucks that a lot of content got skipped and that it had to rush to end since it was getting axed. But it had some great characters, nice art, and I liked how it used the message of "Don't judge a book by its cover.", a lot of the characters had mystery to them and not were how they appeared, and with its setting having many different types of people and creatures, it really made the message that more special. I give it a 7/10, this would've easily been a 9 or 10 had this not been rushed and given more background on the setting and characters, but this is one of the better axed endings in Jump considering how intense it was and how it tried to give the story closure.

But I hope that if Narita writes the story for another manga, he does it in a different magazine, Jump is just not a good environment if you want to try and tell a story, from the get go you have to entertain the readers if you want to survive, and Narita's style doesn't work out since he usually starts out his story with a slow pace which would eventually lead to bigger developments. It sucks but I'm going to have to accept this, I'm not sure if I'll find a manga that I loved as much as this one again in Jump, but I look forward to seeing what Narita does next, I'm not sure if Amano will get another chance at serialization though, so he should probably go to another magazine as well.

Wow that was quite the trip. Definitely a rushed ending due to it being low on the ranking chart. Very unfortunate because I could see myself giving this a 10 if it had a full amount of time to develop the story instead of become rushed as hell around chapter 10. 7/10 because it had a lot of potential but it was too rushed.
That ending was very sad as well.

I think that this being the same writer as "Baccano" and "Durarara!!" He is a great story teller but his style of writing is having the plot build up slowly over time. Being in Jump where you have to write to have high rankings or else it gets ax'd if it doesn't grab people's attention just isn't suited to Narita.

It's been days and I'm still sad about it ending ;n;
Any particular reason it hasn't been marked as completed on MAL yet?

NOO JIG WHYYY. This is too much for my heart to bear... ・゜・(ノД`)

I would have liked to hear Souya's story, too.
After finding out the truth about him, I reread some of the old chapters and it felt kinda different from before.

I wonder how much of the story Narita had planned out already?

This manga could have been one of the best ever had it not been axed. But it was a good ending.

This was actually a pretty good ending considering the circumstances that the author had to go through. But it's really bothersome knowing that a lot could have been done with this though, the setting alone held a lot of events to be unraveled, and when you mix it with the morally ambiguous characters, the guilds, even the alternative world, it just makes you wonder where the author really wanted to go with this. Looking at just the first chapter, it looks like the story was already well planned out. Shame that the readers didn't vote for it though, this could've been something amazing.

I'm not happy. Both Jump and its voters should feel ashamed that this thing died before it could take off. I now have to bitterly rate this a low score since it is without a doubt a mess. Whatever.

I loved this manga so much, can't believe it got cut off like this ... urgh.
Seeing Jig's crying face and reading his words was so terribly sad, I really do wish this wouldn't have ended here...
So you say you're under a curse? So what? So's the whole damn world. - Jigo

it should have been in jump square or something instead of weekly shounen jump in the first place. very bad decision to place it in wsj.

Absolutely fantastic ending, I'm really glad that Sieg was able to die free instead of as someone's tool. I think the fact he died for his friends and as a free man was really one of the most emotional parts in any manga I've read, especially his final smile.

Really bummed about the way it ended though, there was so much potential plot in just the ending alone for at least five more chapters. I was also hoping Sieg would survive till the end :(

dam good series, author really knows wat ppl expect and twists that around. Would've been better as a longer series that develop the characters a bit more. Really cool tat the author used the typical shounen characteristics flaws in manga to advance. Hope that this gathers enough support to one day have a remake like they did for Mushibugyo, in a different magazine of course... but the chances of that ever happening are slim.

Despite the rushed job, not a bad way to wrap things up. I do like tragic things though, so that helps a lot. I respect that Sieg was able to ask someone to kill him if he ever went crazy. I hope one day Toroma will be able to find something within himself to call his own.

It's been like a year or 2 but I'm still annoyed by the stupidity of WSJ readers :(

Damn, I'd love seeing Toroma uninvisible, seeing how he looks in this chapter (with the blood-splatter thing), he seems to physically be around Jigs's age?

Gaah there's so many things they could do with this manga! Well, Narita already said in the end of the last chapter that he is planning on reviving it again in a different form/way (not sure what he is trying to say... My japanese isn't really good) I hope he'll adapt it into a light novel. This series has so many potential.
