Question: why do you want FFXIV to be exclusive? I mean its a MMORPG so the more people the better

Oh it's not about the fact that it should be exclusive (I ain't even gonna play it)
It's more that SOny once again promised up this will be an exclusive, while not even a day later that promise feebles, better yet...it's said to come out on PC and PS3 which kind of kills the idea of 'exclusivity'.

And you say "It's an MMO (...so it would be better if more people play it)"
MS and Sony are separate, so I would have no benefit of it to see XIV on either PC or Xbox.

But once again, it's not about the game itself, but more about Sony's empty promises...

Maybe because that's what they've been told? I imagine that there isn't much they can do if Square-Enix decides to put it on the Xbox. If they do, it may only be for countries outside of Japan like FFXIII.

I suppose that's true. A lot of influence does come from 3rd-party S-E and not Sony itself.

I dont care what franchise is online or not. You're completely misunderstanding. I love the FF series, but I hate FF11 because it was online, it was what ruined not the series, but ruined the game itself. I repeat, not the series, but the game itself.

Please try to read properly and maybe even understand what other people are saying, before jumping to conclusions, not good. :=)

Edit: Nevermind what I've said till now, I see you've played FFXI the most of all your games. It makes sense now.

I'll reply back if you actually have something above retarded to say. (sorry, I was mean, I take it back)

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's like this guy intentionally contradicts himself in every post he makes. (nvm, I was mean too real post coming up in a sec.)

"There are no exceptions, that is reality." << ?? So you can't explain it.

On second thought, it's quite clear that this isn't getting anywhere. You'll just keep sitting behind your barrier of ignorance that FFXI was bad, and 14 will be bad, simply because it's online. I'll just keep giving you "ignorant facts" and being a retard because I've played XI a lot. Great. E3 was underwhelming and over with anyway, time to bury this topic.

@Chavez: There's over 15 other MMO's on my list, so just shut up? lol. I can see you dislike WoW but god damn.

Compared to last year's it was good.
New technologies were presented and personally, I was blown away with Milo. My hope is that the game allows you to fully interact with the characters and surroundings meaning, the things which you can do in the game aren't limited to a number of moves and gestures. This also goes to other games that uses NATAL tech but I doubt it because they said "playing games without using a controller"
I still hope to be able to do more things in a NATAL racing game other than pretending to steer a wheel or a pump a tire.
MS should make a Grand Theft Auto game with that technology. It'll be something like... our own fight club... One can only dream...
I would buy Metal Gear Rising if it was written and directed by Kojima but it's not. I would love to play as Raiden again though.
I've been told Assassin's Creed 2 will have a variety of missions other than evasdropping. Good news.

I can't wait for The Last Guardian! I'm running out of patience! XDDD The music is still stuck in my brain<3 and Uncharted 2... Drake is the man.

True that. I was sure none of them would beat Microsoft because of the games and that NATAL project. But Sony really amazed. Especially in the end of the presentation. I might consider buying PS3 now.

Yeah even though it was leaked, surprises were still coming. I mean Rockstar's Agent? Sounds like a true mafia game.
Final Fantasy 14 albeit it's online but still, it's all good for me.

I felt the content was good but the presentation was a bit bad because of the split screens. You know the three screens? There was also a moment when they were showing a billion game for a minute?!?!?

I had this convo with a friend, it's like they expected us to be able to know which games they were. But at least it's a good sale trick. It's a way of saying "Yeah, we got so many games we had to show them all in a second!"

Sony's presentation was good, though I was bored when they were talking about TVs and cameras. Though the 3D Tv looked pretty good.

Heavy Rain? They never showed anything for it. Too bad I'm not into QTE.

I'm not going to answer to this at all, I figure you will understand it yourself in due time.

This may not go anywhere because we both have different opinions and good points at that. I wasn't really expecting any of us to agree. I'm not sitting behind a barrier of ignorance since I've played it enough to know how bad it was. And my theory is that new one will suck just as much since the series itself is not good as an online game. But like I've said the whole time, it's my opinion. You were the ones quoting me, I replied with my opinion. No need to get mad/insult because I voice my opinion. I've never said you were a retard for playing FF11. Dont pin that down on me.

Anyway, I can't really prove my point to you when you actually liked the game. I was talking mostly to the ones who may have not enjoyed FF11. Talk to you later. :)

IGN's take at Natal and Milo, presented behind closed doors by Molyneux : http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/991/991348p1.html

Both are in the early stage of development, so as I expected it doesn't quite work. As for Milo, I doubt it will work one day as perfectly as Microsoft suggests it in their video. Unless Molyneux is the next genius that will completely revolutionize years of AI development.

It's actually a quite interesting topic. I don't know how many people caught the article, but it was a featured article in a Game Informer Issue last summer, where the editors interviewed the game producer of Halo and asked him what would he do differently if he was the head producer of the next Zelda game. And what he said was really interesting and granted, if he had the reins, I wouldn't be too hesitant either. Of course, this doesn't mean I want Microsoft to own Zelda, but it was an interesting read on a whole other point of view.

Everyone has to admit, as much as the Zelda games rock (and trust me, I'm one of the more die-hard Zelda fans out there), the next installment definitely needs a blood transfusion to help create something new.

How about just having the "you are the controler" possibility for the Zelda game? I mean really, who other than me would cosplay link and swing your fake sword that you bought on ebay?

I would be awesome. Though kind of hard when Link runs and get's down on the ground. I can see myself roll around in my room just to make Link go faster. :D

And it will. If we're going to believe Shigeru. He said the new game will leave the previous games all together. Now what this means I dont know. If either this is the genre of the game, history, gameplay and so on. But it would be a clear change at least.

You have a point there. The natal thingy would work wonders for many series really.

Maybe you should log off from the internet and maybe go outside and meet some new people with different opinions than you. Good luck! :D

writing properly has nothing to do with anything
you understand my message fine without capitalisation and some punctuation, yes?

but no, really, i called you an idiot because what you have been saying boils down to "i dislike the online aspect of FFXI and therefore it and FFXIV are bad games"
not only is this confusing your opinion with fact (which is the opposite of an opinion, by the way) you are ignoring that a) FFXI has garnered consistently favorable reviews, and b) that it has a devoted fanbase that has been playing for years.

now i understand what you mean to an extent - FFXI is certainly not an mmo for everyone - but FFXI is not 'bad' by far. you may dislike it, and i may not fit with your tastes, but it is not a bad game. i dislike FFXII greatly because it has a politically themed plotline and i hate the battle system, but i recognize that it is still a good game, just not to my tastes.

i think that you need to realize that your tastes ≠ everyone's tastes.

Omg.
I can't belive this.
I just came from another topic where there was two guys arguing about random things.

Come on, enough of that already.
Nothing comes from all of this.
None of you will change your opinion becaue of somthing someone online said.

Okay, back on topic.

I was deffinitly surprised by M$, i mean, they made me shit bricks withthat conference.
I nver considered x360 before, specially because of 3rl, but now i really wouldn't mind getting a x360 if i end up with some money at the end of this year.

As for sony, they didn't surprise me with anything, but they met my expectations just fine.
It was just like last e3.

I'm glad that they are pushing their products distribution to the 3th phase.
This week was quite good.

As for nintendo, i rather not comment anything.
I never had any interest on the wii.

Writing properly has a lot to say when you claim someone is an idiot.

I've said from the beginning that my opinion was that the online ruined the game itself. I'm made myself clear on this numerous times. And yes, the online was crap and ruined the game, and the new game will be the same. This is my opinion. <-- See I made it clear for you now.

a) It's an unwritten fact that it's so popular because of its loyal fans, no matter if it sucks, if it's FF, they play it. I'm not saying all of them, lust like I took back my comment to Somnia or whatever because I saw that he really enjoyed the game. And I accept this, people have opinions, but using the argument that it's so popular is bullshit because of what I said above.

b) Exactly what I'm saying.

Thank you for starting to understand what I'm saying.

"but FFXI is not 'bad' by far. you may dislike it, and i may not fit with your tastes, but it is not a bad game."

Isn't this just your opinion? You see my point now? : )

For your last comment. Well, that one was just stupid. >_>
