| Yet another easy episode to watch Going to the candy store surely became fun and nice to watch with those two Still, Komari didn't know who she was with from the beginning that it was actually Hotaru but she knew when she called back to her home. |

| How can Koma-chan spen a day with Hotaru without realizing she is Hotaru, lol. Really relaxing episode, I want shaved ice-cream too, but definitely not with green tea, would have gotten lemon. Also Renge is so cuteee. |

| That candy segment was hilarious. I love Hotaru's personality and reactions so much. I didn't even remember that she developed a crush on Komari. That makes her even better, haha. I love these yuri vibes. She's so adorable. <3 The misunderstanding between her and Komari was really amusing. Komari's facial expressions were priceless. Again, these landscapes are so beautiful. |

| I suppose the purpose of Non Non Biyori is to create a mood. Like mood music, this is mood anime. Perhaps the producers' intention was to make and anime that would create a relaxed and peaceful mood in the viewer? I continue to think of NNB as the sedative of anime. It has made me think about my preferences in anime, why I watch anime and what I hope to get from it. And I don't think this is giving me what I had hoped. I suppose I need a little more plot in my anime. As for Iyashikei, it isn't healing if there is no catharsis. Slice of life is my preference in anime. But this is sort of like a child's picture book. Soothing without any real excitement. Some people compare it to Yuru Camp, but I don't think they are comparable. Yuru Camp is first and foremost a commercial endeavor aimed at selling tourism, travel, and camping. And Yuru Camp is all about the comic bits in between the relaxing pastoral scenes. NNB is like a soft focus photograph with sepia tones, meant to trigger sentimental feelings of nostalgia, and not much else. There must be a very specific audience for this show, but I'm not sure it's me. I will watch one more episode, but at this point I am not sure I can make it to the end of the season. |

| Hotaru thinking Komari is so cute then petting her head after the eraser drops is priceless. Then Hotaru all dressed up like that is so funny as Komari doesn't recognize her, with the glasses and the handbag. Awwww and she's making a little Komari doll! The mix of chill and humor in this show is spot on. |
