| Trying to cram a huge brick of a book into 11 episodes just isn't working. They should have focused on just 1 arc in more depth, instead of jumping around from character to character without establishing them well first. Still, I doubt an adaptation would do the original justice. |

| I rarely RARELY care about graphics in anime... but wow.... the graphics in this one is making it really difficult for me to care about the characters and the story. Its soooo blurry. |
| So I take it that Rokujos negative emotions manifested as the spirit and killed Yuugao. Poor girl, love can be such a tragedy. I actually like the themes of the story, also the fact that they're conveyed in such an exaggeratedly theatrical fashion, gives it an unique charm. |

| I guess when life is so localized, contained, and restrictive, people are gonna gossip up a storm. Genji's already in the arms of someone new. Supposedly this time he "actually" loves her, but I doubt his feelings would have remained strong had she not died. Is Aoi's public perception all she cares about, or is she also jealous? Does she only resent being known as someone with a constantly unfaithful husband, or does she also wish he was with her more, despite constantly rejecting his visits? Makes me wonder what Genji would actually do if his stepmom did reciprocate his feelings. Maybe he'd actually get over her after a few nights together lmao |
