Didn't expect Hina to take the news like that. I sort of expected her to be down for quite a while but it seems she accepted it at moved on for the sake of not causing Sora/Miu any more trouble.

Nimura's expression when Yuuta asked Raika to be his wife was priceless xD
I was hoping Raika would actually be his wife but it was for one day only. Oh well, at least it happened, even if it was for one day only.

So the girls go back to their old home along with Yuuta. He has legal rights over the house as well. I wonder how he's going to pay for it. More jobs, his relatives giving him a good job?

I'll give the show a 9/10
Great character development, good story, the emotions and realism were quite intense in the show, and it was full of kawaii.

Anyway, the show was mildly entertaining, but not great; no real problems, just somewhat bland - 5/10

manly tears were shed (could've held them in but i feel like this deserves a teardrop or two)

finally get to use their big house again! was wondering why just leaving it vacant o_O

raika too good, please become actual wife!

would not mind s2, bringing back their parents as a finale would be nice (I know there's already a tombstone and all but they are just "missing" right?)

by the way, did I mention that I still don't really care for sora? dat drama queen

Damn! This is an amazing show. The comedy, drama and art are balance.

Kinda always wondering why don't they just live on their parent's house in the first place? But still 9/10.

8/10, very solid series, I didn't expect something like that.
This is the reason why I like Feel studio. Great art btw, character design is brilliant, I miss something like this nowadays. Beautiful shading and eyes.
Well, time for OVA, I hope that they ended the story properly.

This show blew me away, I did NOT expect this series to contain so much feels!

Holy shit... 9/10!

Same here, thought my rating will be an 8.3. A good high 8. I personally didnt found aanything bad with the anime, of course there is always room to improve but I couldnt find anything (I usually dont nipick either), other than it could have been longer, it really makes you want to see more adapted, outside the OVAs.

Hina was the cutest little thing ever. Mio was a nice and bit matured girl, her teasing was enjoyable, but my favorite would still be Sora, she looks like Haruhi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, that ribbon fits her alot too. I said before and I say again, her tsun tsun was very enjoyable, and at the same time seeing her working so hard for her family was cute and noble. She is the kind of girl that looks the brighest and cutest when in love, which is way I dont disaprove of Sora x Yuuta, but Raika surely would be a great mother to Sora (the moments of both of them together were so heart warming).

Still really shocked I ended up enjoy it this much, when I was really expecting this anime to turn average. In a way it reminds me of My Girl manga, there are other anime like this, that I have yet to see, but it was definitly nice seeing something so different from the norm (outside the lolicon stuff going on, which your average in most anime nowadays).

Forget to say, the ED was kinda interesting and did remind me of Toradora's EDs alot.

I was waiting this whole time for the news to finally hit Hina, and it did but it wasn't as big of a deal as I thought it would be.. the final 'arc' was somewhat cringey but everything's all good by the end. Hina is so precious I couldn't even..

When I look back at anime aired few years ago like PapaKiki, I realize just how much anime was better back then, and it's not just recency bias or being nostalgic or just hating on the trend. Even with a moe series like PapaKiki you get some genuine drama going on, and the protagonist is not otaku/hikkikomori/self-aware/21st century's kids. They are also not one dimensional and have issues that cant be solved with their respective "character arc", the character development is a progressive thing, not "done in one-arc" thing, and they actually have feelings and actually have a brain. So yeah, anime's definitely going downhill.

Nice to see that all of the elders (family members) gave him the house to live in... that was one of my complaints in last episode forum post... they needed to support Yuta a little so that the girls can have a semi-normal life.

Great series that showed all off the growing’s pains of being a Guardian but seen the smiles of the children that you are taking care of brush off all of the hardship and fuel you to continue to live on for their sake…

Considering the shitty name of this series I was pleasantly surprised. Usually series named in this manner are pure garbage. This one actually had some substance to it.

The anime started contrived in an honestly comedic fashion with the sudden death of the parents. It ended rushed and because of that it felt melodramatic and awkard. The characters were simple, so was the story. And the simple message of the anime, family is what you make of it, it's the people you love and work together and work hard for was endearing but nothing incredibly deep on my reading. Plus it had a pedophile as a comic relief character and tons of lolicon undertones. Yet I still had a blast watching this. The message was sweet. The main characters were developed through the series both as a family growing closer and as individuals. We saw Segawa go through so much change. We had some depth added to our girls. And the supports outside of Sako who's entire existence was a 1 dimensional gag where he was a pedophile were very likable and intelligent people who served as people to help the characters in the story get over their problems making the message to reach out for help. Possibly that the world is a big family and you need to be open and not take everything on yourself but instead accept help from everyone else when you need it. This goes all the way to everyone showing up to Hina's concert. I really loved how the letter said "we don't want you giving up your own happiness for the girls" and how it tied back to how they are his happiness, so of course he'll keep them.

I will say the fact we had a little bit of a tone shift and imo a time skip in the last two episodes so we could end climatically was a mistake. Further, like I said, the death of the family was so fast paced and out of the blue that I laughed the entire funeral scene. Episodes 11 and 12 made Segawa a total dad who finally had the understanding that he couldn't effectively keep the family happy and healthy and we had the girls doing some weird medicine to stay up in class and they were working way harder than they ever had before. If that was built up to more, and if Segawa's development from this wasn't off screen from a single line by Raika it would be far more satisfying. Further the beginning could have been stretched out so the reveal of the death was much more meaningful.

For me, this was an incredibly average but enjoyable anime with likable and funny characters and a nice message. I wouldn't go about recommending it to people outside of the specific recommendation of someone looking for an anime about raising a family and getting through hardship who is okay or actively wants lolicon undertones.

I knew Hina was going to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star before she even started, I was surprised they didn't sing it twice!!!

no... it has to end...
I love this series. Miu and Sora are great lolis.

What's even sadder is that the original author of the LNs passed away a few years ago ;(

This show understands how to make "slice of life" right but the humor is just creepy and disgusting. Not to mention the two guys in the club are pedophiles ffs.

I must say, after rewatching this anime, I really enjoyed it. I loved the pacing and it was very nice. Great character development.

The best thing I can say about this 12-episodes anime is that I was never bored.

now onto the 3 ova

this wasnt what i was looking for but it was really good and got very emotional at the end.
the only con i have is that it overuses the tsundere "you saw me naked" trope which i dont think has ever been funny. i also didnt like the fatty lolicon but thankfully he had the least screentime out of all the characters.
sadly there is no continuation to this but at the same time im not sure how they could keep it interesting. it wouldnt even work as a sol because of how yuuta has to basically constantly be either at school or work. the source probably goes further than the anime but sadly LNs arent for me

also had to check and yep miu's va is the same as kokonoes :D not only do they look very similiar, act very similiar they have the same va.

Hell yes what a great ending! I'm so glad the relatives gave the house to Yuuta and the girls, I was hoping that would happen! It is kind of bittersweet though since they have to say goodbye to the Seiyuu girl and all the people in town, but they can always visit them. The one drawback I suppose would have to be that Yuuta now has to go through the three train transfer commute to get to his university, but it's a much better situation for the girls. I knew Hina had to find out eventually and man was it sad when she did, how would you even explain the concept of death to a 3 year old? I'm also so glad that Sora didn't marry Yuuta, since they work much better on an uncle/dad-niece/daughter basis than a romantic one, and he gets together with best girl Raika! Seriously an underrated anime, so glad I checked this out!

Edit:I saw the last OVA, and while I'm not 100% thrilled with Sora getting with Yuuta, I think the moment between them at the end was really well done, although what happened to Raika? I assume she and Yuuta are still friends at the least
