Onizuka provided Tomoko the perfect platform to express her feelings about Miyabi. I'll definitely agree that while Tomoko wasn't "acting" she was expressing her true self which might have kick-started her career as a celebrity. People are now willing to give her a chance even if she is slow, sooner or later people will help teach her since they realized that she might be able to bring value to others which might be her manager or whatever. It's hard for me to think somebody won't invest in her after her monologue.

Though maybe I'm just optimistic in this case. Enjoyable episode.

Loved this episode!
I went into this show as a comedy-filler before I start a more serious show and didn't really have any expectations.
But BOY, this is awesome! It makes me laugh every episode and it's quite smart as well!

Before I started I thought "wow, 40something episodes? I'm probably just gonna watch a few." Now I feel like "oh, there's only 43 episodes?" Haha.

I just hope it can stay like this for the whole time. That would be amazing!
same!!

With the way they look, I keep forgetting that the students in this show are only 14 years old. They look like they're at least 16-17.

Honestly, I am not satisfied. I don't think he found a star. That girl was not acting, she was really talking on the phone, to a real person. So, it doesn't count. And her stupidity is really annoying :/ I watched the last two episodes hoping she has something special, but no :/

Be herself is the most special thing about her.

This arc is so heartwarming.
Tomoko is a really nice person but she convinced herself in her bakaness. Thanks to Onizuka, she found herself in this world.

The panty-flash moment was cute before Onizuka's one :D

I know it doesn't matter anyway but how exactly did that trash talking kid won? Anyway as great as this episode may be, motherfucking Netflix just added this show in their catalog on this very day. Now I don't have to feel bad pirating this awesome show.

Funny and very cute episode. Onizuka can see hidden potential in his students, that others can't see.

The last scene was hilarious. xD

Why is this episode a bit shorter than the others?

I thought Toroko would sing a children's song in the singing segment LOL.

All things considered the acting segment was extremely good and actually heartwarming. This show can be really wholesome sometimes in spite of the ecchi-ness.

I think the great thing about Onizuka sensei is that he doesn't manipulate everything. He does just enough to provide support to his students and show them the way. And the rest is done by his students themselves. This is the ideal teacher. Of course in real life reckless plans like this would only blow up in his face. I think it's not just that Onizuka is special, his students are special as well. I wonder what would happen if he somehow landed a job in a more "normal" school? Though that's probably impossible. Glad this is a story and it's a great one.

I should've expected it to end like that. I'm curious to see what Miyabi says in the next episode.

The weird sexualization of fourteen year olds hinders my enjoyment of the show. So far, I don't really think GTO deserves all of the praise that it gets. It's OK

It feels like deep down inside, Onizuka is truly an idiot. At the same time, he knows this, and absolutely plays it up to ease any tension existing between himself and his students. I'm really enjoying how much of a goofball he is, but at the same time, I'm impressed at how he manages to push his students to better themselves on their own. He helps set up scenarios for his students to confront their issues, and then encourages them to walk forward from there. For this episode, I'm impressed twice over for Onizuka encouraging Nomura to build self-confidence, as well as rebuilding the friendship between Nomura and Aizawa.

There is no hope for some people. No, not talking about Tomoko, but miyabitch and her idiot friends (i thought she had won the real contest after all this time, but glad she didn't)

On the plus side, i laughed when Murai made an example out of his mother and Kusano / Fujiyoshi were giving him that look and he didn't notice. And obviously also when he shook the can but Onizuka expected it to begin with. And... Uchiyamada of all people had it in his face.

"Feeling over acting" i read in a comment before. Yeah. And that's why GTO is still badass two decades and counting after.

Yeah, where did Onizuka find the time to create all that merchandise? Is it even legal? Oh, well, i'm used to Love Live and school idols had it too, whatever. What is up with the final scene? Not gonna lie, i had erased it. Oh, well, Tomoko has some more confidence and won't end up as someone like me.
